I walked around for a couple of hours to enjoy everything this spacious park had to offer. The shrubbery and water features were diverse. Everything was well manicured so every inch of this lovely area was perfection. There were signs with rules and directions that helps keep everything looking beautiful. There was no litter and any other signs of misuse. It's been a while since I visited Minoru Park and I'm still thinking about it.

Pretty nice area for walking or biking along the dike trail which extends all the way to Steveston. The park also offers a nice view of Sea Island and YVR. Because of the aforementioned swamp, the area gets completely covered with mosquitoes when the sun sets. Do not come here too late in the evening unless you want to feed the next generation.

This park has ample trails, ponds, kids play areas, basketball court, areas to have picnics, parking spaces...and a few more which I probably did not see. The one thing I noticed was there were no places within a quick walking distance to buy refreshments or food, but when in Richmond everything is a short drive and LOTS of food choices. Take the kids or if you like nature, it's certainly worth spend some quiet time (there are areas where the kids are far enough away :) )

There are some paths around the lagoon as well as a picturesque foot bridge. There's also a playground for the kids. As mentioned, don't come here during the summer. Of course, weather and wind conditions will mean planes do not always use this runway...meaning you'll need to head elsewhere. A few other locations that I've recently discovered: -- The small parking lots at the end of River Road (along the dykes, as far as you can go west) -- The Flying Beaver (good for watching the float planes) -- And my favourtie - Templeton Street (right by Grauer Road - on the east side of the airport)

I guess I would need to come back in the evening to see the sunset and maybe see the underbelly of the plane after taking off.

Seeing the neatly maintained Kuno Garden, Fishermen's memorial and boat watching made for a delightful and memorable mid afternoon visit. While I thought the huge power kites were a symbol of childhood enjoyment it was so cool to see two adults flying all nine of them! It was great to see them enjoy the simple pleasures of life flying these in the winds off the Strait of Georgia.

Lots more new residential buildings have been built in the area. There are events during special holidays like Canada Day etc. If you want fresh seafood then you must come here early. They have fisherman docked at the dock selling their catch. Best time to come for me is around May or June for the spot prawns. They have salmon and other fishes on sale. Uni is a good one to get here. However, many of the fisherman only take cash.

We came upon opening and spent our morning here before it got busy. We enjoyed all of the fall leaves and colors. There's beautiful walking paths and trails both paved and a bit unpaved but we had a stroller and managed fine. There are onsite bathrooms which were fairly clean, a cute gift shop where I bought a magnet and postcard, and a little cafe with refreshments and other items. Since it was the harvest fest they also had a few additional vendors like a bahn mi sandwich truck, crepe truck and some popcorn and other refreshment stands. They had some cute games and crafts for the kids. My son just really enjoyed running around looking at all of the decorations and picking up leaves and sticks off the ground.

Even though it was off season for the garden, it was still very beautiful. They have maintained it so well! I myself had gone been in over 7 years and I was also very impressed. They have cafes and restaurants in the centre so we also grabbed a bite there and strolled around for about 2hrs not realizing how time flew by. I really like that they have info about specific trees and plants in the garden, it's very informative :)
