New Jersey Transit buses arrive late or not at all. Some drivers see a green light and refuse to pick up passengers. I once dealt with a driver who almost closed the front door in my chest while I was boarding. Passengers have to climb three steep steps when boarding. Some drivers close the back door when people are disembarking and pull away before you can find a seat. The buses are often dirty and reek of wacky weed. Drivers make passengers switch buses and barely acknowledge passengers. Here the buses are free!! There are no steps just a flat surface to walk across when you board. Drivers wait for passengers to find a seat before pulling away. Buses are rarely crowded and standing room only is all but non existent. On New Jersey Transit buses standing room only is often the order of the day. For the most part buses are clean and drivers are friendly and will talk to you. If you say Good morning they say it back. If you say Have a good day when you disembark they will say You too Mam You too Sir. Most drivers will show your stop iif you don't know where it is especially if you tell them you're new in town as my Steve and I are. Once a pulse bus driver saw that my husband and I were at the wrong stop. She stopped the bus got off and waited for us to board. It's the difference between night and day.

Amtrak sucks and trains are never on time. Min 20-30 min delay every single day. They don't care…read moreabout customer's time. Wifi is hit or miss on the train and network is choppy. Train delays are due to stupid reasons and Amtrak cannot do anything about it. Tracks are owned by CSX and they have to follow their orders. Passengers are given lowest priority. Amtrak sucks and I would not recommend traveling by Amtrak. Use any other mode if possible.

A ticket and information counter with a slow and long line can be found at the farthest end of the room. It's easy to navigate and see where everything is from anywhere in the facility. The waiting area has the cleanliness of a public restroom The bathrooms aren't the cleanest but they're tolerable (I don't cringe with horror when I open every stall door). They're usually on time and I haven't had any major issues with my tickets besides weather related delays. It's a pretty average greyhound station!

Our bus never arrived, yet the app continued to show it was on time. We received no notification, and there were no employees available to help. After spending hours trying to reach customer service, we learned we'd be stranded for over 8 hours. The problems continued throughout the trip. We missed our connection because of Greyhound's delays, customer service was unhelpful, and our replacement tickets no longer allowed my elderly mother and me to sit together despite paying for reserved seating. Multiple passengers were assigned the same seat numbers, creating confusion and frustration. The Richmond station was dirty, with rats running around the waiting area. On the bus, passengers openly smoked marijuana, the electrical outlets didn't work, and baggage loading was chaotic. To make matters worse, metal hardware protruding from my seat caused me hours of back pain before I realized what was digging into me. What should have been a straightforward trip turned into an exhausting ordeal filled with delays, poor communication, unsafe conditions, and terrible customer service. I understand delays happen, but the complete lack of communication, organization, and concern for passenger especially elderly traveler is unacceptable. I will never travel with Greyhound again and cannot recommend them!!

While I've hired other agencies in the past, Tangier Transportation certainly raised the bar. And, as a grumpy, aging geezer, I am not easily impressed. My lifelong buddy, whose daughter is my God-Daughter, chose Tangier for transportation to and from a hotel and her wedding venue nearby in Rixeyville, VA. He did the research before he chose Tangier and, as I demanded to cover the cost for this service, I did additional research. OK. So online, Tangier seemed to be a good bet. I could NOT have been more pleased. My conversations with Khalil both before and after the event were, believe it, enjoyable. He is easy to work with and most attentive to the needs of his clients. His "day after" call to make certain everything was to our liking was not surprising given my previous conversations with him. I will ever recall Khalil mentioning how Tangier drivers do not show up "on time". They show up well ahead of time to ease the jitters that always come when hiring such a service. Well .... Our driver, Reda, arrived to the hotel well before the clock started ticking. And was he a delight! Polished and professional, he attended to every variant we introduced into our scheduled runs to/from the event. The 28 passenger shuttle he piloted appeared to be brand new! For sure, Reda represented the perfect "face" of this organization. And I shall never forget that smile! Ever.
