If I could give this place a 0 stars for being so shitty I would. THIS IS THE WORST DRIVING COMPANY ON THIS PLANET Thats all that needs to be said I have been helping a gentleman try to get to his location since 11am we called 8 times and had the shittiest dispatchers with the shittiest attitudes give us the fucking run around cause they dont like the fact that I had to call multiple times to have them come pick him up. I am at a place of business all I was doing was trying to help him get to his DESTINATION... i see link drive up all and down these roads and the excuse over and over again was "we will call another vehicle" and the MAM! MAM! MAM! yelling over the phone wasnt necessary BRYAN and KAREN ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS FUCK YOU SIR SIR SIR!!!!! read more

Good evening just a rider with an opinion. I'm from D.C and Metro (transit system) was my life and even though they have their flaws I feel you should take a page out their book. Convenience is important along with efficiency for your company it's employee's and the people it service.((Scenario ( 2C you have one bus going from the transit station headed north then back to the transit station to head south, and vice versa for the south route.) From my many years of riding a transit system (WMATA) that moves with their city as a rider would it be easier on your drivers and more efficient for the 2c to go from the transit station in one direction either north or south and back to the transit station. And that is the route. One going north 2C BusTransit/ North to North Ave - 2C Bustransit/South Belt Blvd/Midlothian)) read more

While I will admit there are things that need improving. The 50 bus failed to pick my husband up on a rainy day and a 20 bus once went right by us in Cary Town this Transit System is pretty good when you consider what my husband and I dealt with back in our home state of New Jersey. New Jersey Transit buses arrive late or not at all. Some drivers see a green light and refuse to pick up passengers. I once dealt with a driver who almost closed the front door in my chest while I was boarding. Passengers have to climb three steep steps when boarding. Some drivers close the back door when people are disembarking and pull away before you can find a seat. The buses are often dirty and reek of wacky weed. Drivers make passengers switch buses and barely acknowledge passengers. Here the buses are free!! There are no steps just a flat surface to walk across when you board. Drivers wait for passengers to find a seat before pulling away. Buses are rarely crowded and standing room only is all but non existent. On New Jersey Transit buses standing room only is often the order of the day. For the most part buses are clean and drivers are friendly and will talk to you. If you say Good morning they say it back. If you say Have a good day when you disembark they will say You too Mam You too Sir. Most drivers will show your stop iif you don't know where it is especially if you tell them you're new in town as my Steve and I are. Once a pulse bus driver saw that my husband and I were at the wrong stop. She stopped the bus got off and waited for us to board. It's the difference between night and day. read more

Today 6/09/20 waiting with 20 other people in the hot sun for bus 77 to arrive. It's an hourly bus. Bus Driver at 1:29pm saw everyone waiting on the grass. Passed me by. I was walking toward the bus when the female bus driver passed me. Because of that had to walk 1.2 miles to my destination and I need surgery. Had to sit out of exhaustion at an Elder Care home because of exhaustion. Because of this Female Bus Driver I could have Covid 19. The Female Bus drivers are not like the men drivers in this State. Late.Don't care there's a Pandemic and people could die because of there careless decisions. They Stop busses to have smoke breaks where their not supposed to stop. Female RTC Bus Drivers Are Horrific!!!!!!! They Don't Care There's A Pandemic And People Could Die Because Of Their Careless Actions!!!!! read more

If you're basing your work schedule around grtc forget about it....most inconsistent transit system

The worst transit system I've experienced. GRTC operates as if it has no loyalty to the people that pay to keep them in business. The lack of customer service speaks to their utter disrespect for the riders. Their disregard for customer complaints shows they feel they're untouchable. The saddest part is the City of Richmond seems to continue to put money into this company without including citizen input. GRTC needs to be held accountable for removing bus stops that affect transportation for elderly, for buses that are regularly late or don't show up at all, for rude and disrespectful drivers, for drivers that don't stop at stops passing by riders as the riders are clearly waiting for them. The list of complaints I hear daily is ridiculous. The number of people that have called the customer service number and get no response from upper management months later is horrible customer service. Without the riders GRTC wouldn't exist, but as one customer service representative said, "It's public transit what are you complaining about". That speaks to the GRTC philosophy. read more

I've been using the GRTC transit system for a short time. I think there are a lot of improvements that need to happy for this system to work properly and allow more people to feel comfortable using it. For example, the route app doesn't allow you to follow your location and doesn't mention when stops are closed for maintenance. read more

Bus driver just stopped (2B southbound) to go to the snack/bakery shop on jahnke road to get snacks for herself. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. Get your snacks/lunch/dinner before your shift starts. Get it together. read more

You guys are very disorganized and rude! You get my friends who use careVan two to three hours late to event very often! Your drivers are rude and unprofessional when I ride I feel like a number not a person! You run lAte all the time and block up Broad street! You pull out in front of traffic and almost cause and cause wrecks all the time! You are a joke and if there was any other bus service in our city you would be closed down! Make way for Uber rather then your assbutt of a bus system! Ass! Ass! Ass! read more

GRTC-- I've seen you try, but the state of your bus system is unacceptable. You've had traffic messed up on Broad St. for over a year, you can't buy dollar amount go passes anymore, only for time periods, and your app crashes. every. single. time. Get it together! read more

Parking is a bear in Richmond and we don't have a metro, so you need to learn how to use the bus system. Local rides are $1.25 and it's easier to buy a GO card for $5 or $10 so you don't have to worry about having correct change for each fare. There's also a VCU campus commuter bus with cheaper rides for students, since the university is spread all around downtown. I'm bummed that they discontinued the free lunchtime express bus routes, but maybe they'll bring them back if the economy ever recovers. read more
