Richmond Highlands Park has a fair amount of grassy space to run/play soccer on, as well as two baseball fields, one on each side of a soccer field. It is on the smaller side, however not tiny, and the birds were eagerly singing on my visit this morning, Tuesday 28 November 2023. Bleachers or stone/cement bench seating line each of the baseball fields, which I have also found to be a nice place to sit and read a book on a clear and quiet day. The grassy space can be a nice place to run drills/sprints as part of running training.
The land of the park abuts the neighboring Richmond Highlands Recreation Center, though they each have their own parking areas. For the park, there is a dirt parking lot/stretch on Linden Avenue North, the recreation center has a paved parking lot.
Near the recreation center is a playground and a sports court, of which the sports court is equipped with a basketball hoop. Trash receptacles are speckled throughout the park. A restroom building with men and women designated rooms has it own lighting. The grounds of the park have been well maintained in my experiences, both today and before today. read more
