But I sure lucked out when I secured an appointment with Commonwealth Ear, Nose and Throats specialists. It took me a week to find someone to even see to my problem. How fortunate I was to be scheduled almost promptly with Dr. Julie Kerr. Nor only is she above excellent in her chosen field, she is compassionate and kind. After paying onsite following my visit an extremely high bill, I've been billed several times since. There was also a 'no show' fee of $60! applied to my account. This was an online follow-up with the doctor who failed to show to my call. They should be paying ME for a no-show. I've attempted to speak with their billing team multiple times but continue to receive past due statements for charges that have been paid. In fact, when I total my bill(s) after insurance, they owe ME money. These offices are nothing more than bloated businesses trying to make a buck. What happened to the CARE in healthcare?

Our dog ate a fairly new hearing aid which I chose to purchase online to save money. This is a service they state as being free to program on their website yet we were charged over $600 to have it done. He also had a little tantrum and stormed out stating he didn't have time to replace the receiver wires and made us come back for another appointment. This takes less than five minutes. It left my child without being able to hear for too long. Since we had purchased the same exact hearing aid all he had to do was plug them in to her current settings on the computer but apparently felt we needed to be punished for purchasing elsewhere so we were excessively charged for the ten minute appointment. I have made multiple attempts to clear up this overcharge and they will not return my phone calls or emails. I have had to contact the Better Business Bureau. They clearly are more about money than helping folks to hear better. I would steer clear of this practice.

Completed the online forms, set up a scheduled phone call, received confirmation of time & day of phone call only to be ghosted. Despite an email at 9AM stating that the call would be in 1 hour, I've yet to be contacted. One can only ascertain that the $6K + in membership fees is meaningless to them if they expect potential clients to track them down to give them money. It also makes one wonder if, after forking over 4 figures a year, the difficulty in getting to a physician during non-business hours. Let's face it, if the first impression is this bad, it does not give hope for a positive experience thereafter. Although irritated after having my time wasted, I'm going to put this experience in the win column.
