Use to be good. Just a number now. Can't get in to see doctors anymore. There is no quality referrals anymore just tell you to go emergency room. Pretty bad when you know more doctors than the physicians that need to be referring. Practice is only as good as the experience of the nurses that are hired. Been a customer since they opened in Richmond, Virgina. Seem to only be interested in executive physicals. That are redundant after the first one. read more

So I found that a doctor who I wanted to be my primary recently joined the practice which was awesome because the wait time to see her as a new patient at a previous practice was years long). Completed the online forms, set up a scheduled phone call, received confirmation of time & day of phone call only to be ghosted. Despite an email at 9AM stating that the call would be in 1 hour, I've yet to be contacted. One can only ascertain that the $6K + in membership fees is meaningless to them if they expect potential clients to track them down to give them money. It also makes one wonder if, after forking over 4 figures a year, the difficulty in getting to a physician during non-business hours. Let's face it, if the first impression is this bad, it does not give hope for a positive experience thereafter. Although irritated after having my time wasted, I'm going to put this experience in the win column. Seems like the universe & PartnerMD did me a solid--keeping money in the bank & removing unprofessional & potentially aggravating interactions from my life. read more

Warning: Avoid Partner MD at all costs. Services were wonderful in the beginning but care and coordination of treatment as well as high turnover in staffing have resulted in deterioration of services. Good doctors but a horrific practice. They sold the practice to INOVA. My doctor is away much of the time until transition. They charged me even though they are closing the business. Dr Shafai is wonderful but Partner MD is verging criminal, in my opinion. read more

Probably the most unprofessional experience I've ever had in the medical care field. Dec. 6 meet and greet with the doctor, who either pretended to want us as patients or doesn't know the rest of the story, seemed to go well. Expected a call from the membership coordinator, Janet, (yes, there is only one) on Dec. 9. No call. Silence until I called to follow up the next week. Janet still does not answer. I leave another message and then call the doctor's office and speak to the manager, who assures me that Janet will call me that day. Silence. I call the membership number and now Janet's voicemail message has been changed to she's on vacation and won't return until Jan. 6th. Still silence. After leaving more messages for the manager, Janet calls on Friday, Jan 10 and leaves a message. Phone tag. No return call from her. We finally connect when I call the following Monday morning, 5 weeks late. She apologizes for ghosting me for over a month and tells me that PartnerMD is denying my membership. For a month, I was led to believe that my wife and I had a new primary care physician and the delay was in no way indicative of us. Rather, Janet was off and then she was sick, which then was followed by her on vacation. Management claims that "the team" makes a decision about membership, like it's a secret club, hiding behind HIPAA's shield. They then claimed the doctor made the decision. It's possible, but why not tell us when we met? I asked for a written explanation from the doctor, but was denied that as well. More than likely, Ms. Janet didn't do her job and they perceive me as potential drama because I reached out to management. In the end, I should give them a 5 star review because their dismissiveness, rudeness, and lack of action saved me from signing on with them. read more

I have been a member of PartnerMD since 2013. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. When I had an emergent situation on the weekend, I had a doctor meet me at the practice and provide an exam, along with solution to my situation. I am always greeted very professionally by the staff from the front desk to the nurse to the doctor. I appreciate the reminders and phone calls reminding me of upcoming appointments. I joined after moving from another state. My hormones were totally out of whack due to a hysterectomy. My doctor, Dr. Patricia Burkwall, assisted me with getting to the right specialists for my hormone needs; even getting me into a specialist that was no longer taking new patients. My doctor has worked closely with me in monitoring my health and helping me meet my health goals. Twelve years later I've gone from being insulin resistant, obese, with high cholesterol to having normal blood levels and weight loss of 47 pounds! I appreciate that they have a referral coordinator who will even schedule my mammograms for me (as I'm not always the most compliant in doing what I need to do once I leave an appointment.) I am stunned by some of the negative reviews here as I have had a stellar experience and have remained a patient for almost 13 years. I can't imagine going anywhere else. And, when I do go to other specialty practices, I realize how well managed PMD is just based on the fact that I never wait more than 5 minutes to get back to my doctor. I would highly recommend this practice. read more

After being a patient for two years, I decided to enroll my wife. PartnerMD charged my credit card for a partial month before she had even filled out her paperwork. I called the office to dispute the charge but was told that their policy would not change and I would have to pay the $51.11. I elevated the discussion to the practice manager and ultimately to her "leadership" and the result was that we are parting ways. So much for "concierge" service. I highly recommend that anyone looking for this type of medical service to look elsewhere. read more

I was looking for something more than a regular MD that sees thousands of patients where I was a number, barely listen to you, give a a prescription and send you in your way. I looked into a functional medicine and it was just too expensive and did not think it was right, talking with my cardiologist about trying to find something in the middle, Dr that listens, can help me get better health practices in place and help right the ship. He suggested PartnerMD, I could not be happier. I have lost 40lbs, feel great, they listen AND I have gotten calls from my Dr on a Sunday night to talk through what they are seeing, share their thoughts and set next steps. My numbers are all in check, I have lost most of what I have wanted and feeling great. Cannot say enough good things about this practice and glad my cardiologist at Janes River Cardiology recommended I give them a call! read more

The practice manager is uncaring and poorly qualified. Some of the staff are very personally prejudiced. They are horrible beyond belief. They only want profits and cannot care for patients properly. Do not recommend. read more

Uncaring and unprofessional. All they want to do is get your money every month. They don't listen to their patients and if you have a problem they wont help you get appropriate treatment. All was great as long as I was vibrant and healthy. Then when I needed them the most, I was left on my own to research my diagnosis and seek possible options for treatment. They did nothing in helping me to get better. I am still not well. No provider tried to help talk to other specialists on my behalf at all. I have endured over 5 months of horrific pain while the providers made no effort to talk to specialists and learn about my condition. Save yourself the trouble and don't seek care here. read more

PartnerMD has a phenomenal nursing staff and horrific doctors. I've been trying to resolve inflammation issues for years. Plan on "doctor" Keller stringing you along and refusing to provide help despite his oath and duty as a medical professional and buggy communication with COVID. At my worst, Kevin Keller has a smart mouth and enjoys chit chat over dealing with problems and addressing issues. I regret choosing and putting my trust in him as a concierge doctor that can't be bothered to take care of patients needs. I am seeking out the VA medical board to have his license revoked. read more

Dr. Schwartz and PartnerMD have been my healthcare team for about 3 years. They do everything that a concierge service should do in an excellent fashion. I feel that I now have the best medical resources in my 75 years. While there is an extra monthly fee it is worth every penny and then much more. After moving back to the Richmond area after many years away PartnerMD has given me peace of mind about my health. read more

The membership fee increased dramatically this year. There does not seem to be a cost benefit to their service. I discontinued my membership this year (5 yrs) via email and was charged for 30 days as my email was two days beyond the 30 day notice. Poor form and very cold customer service, they seemed disproportionately in need of the dollars. read more
