They think it is so cool that they have a kid sized door, a play hour, kid toys, etc. The office is always clean and welcoming. The office definitely caters to kids on every level. The staff is always awesome - the hygienist are so good with the kids and engage them while working quickly but thoroughly. They help make it relaxing and fun. Dr. Kim is so nice and always talks to the kids and asks them questions to make them comfortable and engage them, as well. They do allow for parents to come back and sit near their kids if they need to, this has helped my boys a lot! I have always felt comfortable and confident in the care they receive here and do not feel pressured to do anything that is above or beyond what they need. They always have a full prize bucket for the kids to take from when they leave, too - always a hit! I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist for their children - such a great place to get them familiar and comfortable at the dentist.

I am beyond thrilled with Dr. Kim. He is truly so caring of his patients. He is so proactive with his conversations and approach to dentistry which is very comforting to my husband and I. We had a dental emergency a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday. I called the emergency number and within 5 minutes Dr. Kim returned my call. He is patient, kind. caring AND thoughtful. I highly recommend his office to all parents!

We were told at previous appointments that he was now an established patient at this office, and that we could come back to this office for further care, but that's apparently not the case anymore; leaving my child with no dentist or care. This office knew my child would need braces in the very near future, and that was why we went with this location, and now they're leaving him out with no care; even after becoming an established patient.

I was a police officer, sergeant and SWAT operator for 20 years and the job took its toll on me and on my family. During this time, my youngest son was treated at KPD and there was a small co pay of approximately $100 owed. The bill unintentionally was overlooked, while I recovered, had to medically retire from my career that defined who I was and my family was recovering and learning how to function post job, post alcoholism, post untreated mental illness. Approximately 6-8 months later, we were notified that we had been expelled from the practice for non payment. I immediately called them and tried to make it right, but to no avail. The office manager blatantly told me that I could pay the balance, but my children would NEVER be allowed back as patients. Since then, we have searched and searched for a child dentist. The. COVID 19 happens. My children continue to go untreated, dentally, because we were kicked out of our place and we couldn't find another place during the pandemic. February 2022. I finally get my dentist to see my daughter, because she is complaining of tooth pain and she's crying. My dentist referred my daughter back to Kalamazoo Pediatric Dentists. So I call the office and I tell the manager that my daughter is in a lot of pain and that she has an abscess tooth that needs to be fixed. I told her that my dentist had prescribed her a antibiotic, but that she desperately needed to be treated. I told her that my daughter is comfortable with Dr. Van and that she wants to come back. She told me straight up, without pause or hesitation, you are expelled from our practice. No concern about my daughters health, no regard for our being upstanding patients and paying all other bills on time. Just the attitude that we don't need your business because we have an overflow of patients so screw your problems. Oh and screw your daughter too! My daughter is 8 years old. That office manager and those dentist is should be ashamed of themselves.

Hygienists are always welcoming and try to make us at home the first time. However, This time around was different as the appointment went on to finding out my daughter had a cavity , the whole mood of the appointment changed . The dentist was very short, he didn't get any tips for helping for future cavities - with the type of teeth she has it's likely to happen again . He made me feel as a bad parent this way and the hygienist pretty much followed suit with the same . Hopefully next time around will be different but as of now looking for another kid friendly dentist as this was a huge turnoff .

I have never been so disrespected by someone who truly feels that their title as office manager with blue hair and incredibly shitty attitude is above all else. You are a glorified assistant. MAH Horrible experience…read more I would like to preface this by stating that I have previously had a very positive opinion of Dr. Cohrs personally. I firmly believe his bedside manner, attention to detail, and dental work are truly impeccable, and I appreciated his clinical care during my previous visits over the years. During my most recent visit though, things had changed. I was told by the hygienist, Lyndi, that a panoramic X-ray was "required by law" to maintain their license, with implied risk if refused. No such Michigan law exists--regulations cover equipment safety only, not mandating patient imaging (per LARA-Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Michigan Dental Association). My low-risk profile (excellent hygiene, no cavities in years, healthy gums, recent normal bitewings) showed no clinical need. ADA 2026 guidelines require panoramic only when necessary, to minimize radiation, not routinely. When I raised the issue feeling misled about Timberview losing their license, the hygienist called in the office manager who was beyond rude, defensive, interrupted repeatedly by obscuring and pivoting to "our standard of care," then asked my opinion of their standard. I said it felt revenue-driven rather than evidence-based. She immediately told me to leave. This was gaslighting: obscuring the obvious falsehood with vague "patient care standards" and punishing honest feedback with abrupt dismissal. Deceptive communication and unprofessional handling erode trust. Patients deserve transparency, not pressure and deflection. Unfortunately the unprofessional conduct of the office manager--particularly her repeated interruptions, twisting of the initial misleading statement, dismissive attitude, and abrupt decision to ask me to leave after I shared my honest opinion--has eroded my trust in the practice as a whole. Despite my high regard for Dr. Cohrs' skills and care, this experience will unfortunately prevent me from returning. Perhaps the business/name change to Timberview Dental has caused the business to now become profit driven over patient care driven. Be VERY careful about agreeing to unnecessary procedures that are lining their pockets.
