My wife's Bolt EV was having intermittent issues with the backup camera and 360 camera system. We scheduled an appointment online and took it in. They were able to figure out the issue and made a warranty repair on it. But that was not the best part. There are so few times these days when you get great customer service. When I went to pick up my wife after she dropped off the car, they offered her a ride but I just wanted to spend some time with her, the service manager remembered me from when I took my car in previously. They were always friendly and accommodating there. There's a bigger dealership with a larger service department a lot closer to us, but that dealership's customer service made us decide to never go back. I love the people at Richland and I will definitely be going there for all of my needs. And most likely when I buy my next Chevy too. I cannot recommend Richland enough. read more

I made the appointment on Tuesday and was able to get in this morning at 8am Before I made this appointment I browsed at 3 way and I wasn't going to get in until Nov20. I called Richland Chevrolet because they had a truck listed that we were interested in. Our truck was stolen and we needed a replacement. Insurance was going to cover it. They connected me to Alfred. He said they had the truck and we were going there to see it but when the day came for our viewing, Alfred said it wasn't there. That the owner of the dealership was using it. He said to save us a trip, he'd bring the truck to us. Drove it to our home in Bakersfield. Which we thought was nice after not having it available on the day of our visit. He brought a different truck that cost more than the truck we wanted originally. He said they didn't have the other truck anymore. We said no. We asked Alfred to find another truck for us and he said ok. We NEVER heard from him again. They dropped the ball and lost a sale. Which is 100 percent true, but a whole day was wasted (no commission) because they weren't willing to make the customer happy. They only gave us $50 off a used car. Thousands of dollars for a car the was priced above what Kelley blue book says it's worth and only got $50 off. Waste of time. Plus the building is Hot. read more

Completely horrible experience would not recommend this company for anything! First off, drove from Bakersfield to Shafter to look at a suv (they knew we were coming) by the time we got there, the salesman no longer had it! A courtesy call would have been nice?!? Nope this man had us drive there and waste all time. Tried to say we were $10,000 upside down on our Lexus. Wanted us to have $800 payments. Got the same SUV in Bakersfield for $450 with the same down payment. We were no way close to being upside down on our car! This place is a complete joke and scam! If you need free storage or a place to park your car for a couple of days Richland Chevrolet is the place for you! I have a 2015 Chevy Suburban that I took to Richland because I was having problems with the front suspension. I took it to Richland because the dealership I bought it from was out of the 45 miles so the extended warranty would cover it at a dealer of my choosing. After having it for a week, and several calls on my part because they did not keep up with letting me know what was going on, I picked my car up. They said they weren't going to charge me anything because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I was dealing with Chevy themselves and when they called the service manager he told them my shocks were leaking and they needed to be replaced. Funny thing.. the front suspension has the magnetic ride control and doesn't have shocks but has struts. He said he even called the extended warranty to see if they would cover shocks to be replaced. After I took the time to talk to the extended warranty place and another dealership they both confirmed they are indeed struts. I doubt Richland even looked at the car. My husband and I both had called them several times to find out what was going on and why what they told us and Chevy was different. The service manager would make some excuse to get off the phone and never call us back. Beware when taking your car to get "glanced" at. It cost me a couple days off of work and gas money but hey I didn't have to pay for the parking! read more
