I went to Richboro Coffee for the first time a couple weeks ago to do some work and drink some coffee. Here are some general pros / cons: PROS: - The owner (I think?) there is extremely friendly. He worked very hard to keep people happy (and that's the main reason that I am giving 5 stars versus 4). I saw him give people free upgrades so they could try new things, he gave someone some dark roast to drink while he re-made a batch of their requested medium roast, and so on. His customer service was exceptional. - There's lots of space available - The coffee seemed high quality and very delicious (both my iced coffee and a latte that my sister ordered were excellent) - Costs were very reasonable - They open at 6:30am which is earlier than other coffee shops CONS: - There aren't many outlets available - Lighting is a bit dark (which I realize is personal preference - I personally LOVE The Coffee Room in Newtown's bright lighting) - Food selection isn't huge and from what I understand, sandwiches are frozen and re-heated (I asked if I could put turkey bacon on a different sandwich and the owner told me that the sandwiches come ready-made.) Overall, I feel like the people there care a lot and provide excellent service. The coffee is great too. I might not go there specifically to work due to the lighting (darkness makes me a bit more melancholy / unproductive), but I realize this is a cafe and not set up to be a work environment. The coffee is high quality and if I wanted to come in specifically for a great cup of coffee, this place delivers. The last thing I'll say is while I was there, a lot of people referenced Michelle. I have tried Richboro Coffee several more times and happy to report that my first experience might not have correctly reflected this little shop. The price of the coffee ice-cubes is indeed listed on the board of prices. The board hands high and is not very visible if you are right at the register and do not look up. The coffee was still great. Only tried the cold-brew so far but looking forward to colder months. I don't do well with all coffees due to acidity issues, but Richboro coffee proved to not cause any symptoms. Speaks for the roasting of the beans. They are a real deal. With that said, I am not sure I would get it here every day, as it is quite pricey. But lovely to stop by every once in a while. read more

Richboro Coffee is a new java house in the Mallard Creek Shopping Center in Richboro, Pa. It is on the small side with about a half dozen tables. The front of the room has a shiny copper roaster where all their Ethiopian, Kenyan and Costa Rican beans are prepared for brewing or sale. I sat down for a cup of their Ethiopian Sidamo, a muscular strong coffee that is great both straight up and with a little milk. It is definitely a wake up call to the senses. The alternatives this day were a Kenya AA milder bean, or a Costa Rican decaf. They can also be blended if desired. Service was friendly and informative. Josh, the owner's son, worked the new digital register for my credit card purchase and seemed proud to be part of this enterprise. Michelle, poured the Joe into a glass cup with room for milk, and offered to bring it to the table for me. Not handicapped, I did that myself, but appreciated the gesture. First sip alerted my tongue that a strong brew was on the way. By the time I was ready to depart, the caffeine had reached the brain, and I felt the welcome surge of focus and energy that only the freshest darker roast can provide. Exactly what I needed. Prices are reasonable for a custom roast/brew operation, at $2.25 for a regular cup; slightly more for extra volume. There were a few folks working at the tables while I was there, thus no shortage of seats for those who wanted to sit and sip at this time of day. Richboro Coffee joins other recently opened coffee houses in the area. The coffee competes quite well with that from Newtown's Coffee Room and Yardley's Pretty Bird Café. Each contributes in their own way to the upgrade of caffeine alternatives in the region, with Richboro seemingly with the best coffee, Newtown with the most comfort, and Yardley with the most variety on the menu. Decided to give this local coffee shop a try and so glad I did! Adorable little shop which doesn't seem like it could be a legitly good coffee shop but I was wrong! A very nice selection of coffee beans from around the world that are roasted and ground on premise?! Friendly service, Michelle is as amazing as everyone says! Came in and just asked her to recommend something for a first timer and she didn't steer me wrong with a clever dripper pour over with Ethiopian sidamo beans. At first sip, it was a "wow" moment, black and even with a little cream and sugar the coffee took center stage. One of the best cups of coffee I tried and I love coffee from around the world. Vietnamese, Cuban and mexican are some of my faves. Prices are fair for the quality of the coffee being served, my large coffee was $3.50 and was ground and brewed right in front of me. I believe in supporting small local businesses and will be visiting this establishment often! read more

Another great find by our Yelp Elite Superhero Gerald S. We popped by on this cold, snowy morning for a pair of large flat white lattes, and we were quite pleased with our beverages. Pre-pandemic, our morning joe typically had either a La Colombe (20+ years) or Vernick Coffee Bar pedigree. Our tastebuds were pleasantly surprised by how favorably Richboro's coffee compared to our long-standing downtown favs. Our lattes were rich and smooth "to the last drop" (without a bitter finish). The counter was manned by a lovely human who also registered us for the Richboro Coffee Loyalty Club. We're now doubly incentivized to return: Great, locally-roasted coffee and the prospect of perks. Wanting to support small business I was surprised and completely turned off by the service and coffee this Sunday morning. New to Richboro I was especially looking forward to grabbing some coffee in between children's swim lessons. The lady at the counter took her time acknowledging me and my son standing there with only 2 patrons in the place. She seemed annoyed that I didn't know exactly what I wanted, but she struggled through my 12 oz regular coffe order. The coffee was burnt, and I was out 4 bucks. I will not go back. read more

The absolute worst customer service ever! Came in asking for a large Americano, all they had was a small, not sure why you can't make a large and just charge more. Furthermore, my bill came to $4.19 I wanted to pay with a $50 bill apparently all they accept is $20s and wouldn't let me pay with a credit card. read more

First time here, got a cold brew iced coffee. Really good. Definitely on the high end price-wise but given the area and the quality I have no complaints about that. One thing that I will say, is the service was kind of strange. I consider myself to be pretty low-maintenance when it comes to what I expect from someone in a customer service setting, but the young guy working behind the counter literally said nothing to me as I stood there looking at the menu to order, no smile, actually looked kind of annoyed. Gave me my coffee and I said "Have a good day" and again nothing. I work in customer service so I definitely get the aspect of having a bad day but outright ignoring a paying customer is odd. This is my husbands hometown and ever since we have discovered this gem it's our go to. We now live in japan and come back every year. Staff is excellent and the beans are high quality, absolutely delicious. We love this place! They even have a point reward system and today we had the option of a free drink a pastry or some beans. This coffee shop opened Monday May 8. They are amazing. The coffee is freshly ground to order and they have decaf and regular beans. They do pour overs and the usual coffee drinks. I had a decaf cappuccino. It was $4 and really delicious. The milk was perfectly foamed. They roast coffee on Saturdays from 1-3 pm with the fancy golden roaster in the front of the shop. I will be back! The only disappointment is that they are only open 7am to 3 pm so I can't go in the evenings. read more

Stopped by for a latte after shopping at Wrightstown Farmers Market and glad that I did. The latte was fantastic - very smooth with a rich flavor. The service was very accommodating and friendly and I'm going to make it a must stop every week after the market. I had a strange experience here. I walked in and it was very dark as the only person working was just sitting on his laptop with a video game controller. Looking embarrassed, he ran behind the counter where he knew he was supposed to be. I ordered a mocha latte and it was below average. Espresso was bitter and milk was over steamed. Who I was with ordered a hot chocolate and witnessed the barista pouring plain old Swiss Miss powder into the milk. If you're paying for a highly priced drink you would expect a more creative approach to making it. I hate to bash on this place but my experience was really awkward and distasteful. read more

Being from San Francisco and having worked in the third wave coffee industry (Sweet Maria's, Mountain Grounds) when I moved to the suburbs of Philadelphia I was worried I wouldn't be able to find quality coffee in the area: This little shop proved me wrong. I was pleasantly surprised that such a shop exists so far away from the city. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner/head roaster and he did a thorough job of explaining the different types of beans, roast profiles, altitudes at which they're grown, etc. Suffice it to say he is very knowledgeable and I was impressed. The coffee is hands down the best in the area. Nevertheless, the few times I have been back to the shop after my first, very pleasant, interaction with the owner, have been less remarkable due to the perfunctory customer service I have received from a young man who always seems to be inconvenienced when I come in (i.e. he has to step away from his laptop to serve coffee). Sorry to say, but this has definitely put a damper on my desire to frequent this shop. I will continue to recommend this place to others regardless because the coffee is still excellent. Hidden gem! Absolutely the best coffee shop around. Just 200 yards from the center of Richboro on Almshouse Rd. I get all my coffee beans here. So fresh! Had a latte macchiato which the owner explained was steamed milk first then espresso. The flavor of the roast was really good. The blueberry muffin was freshly made and i liked that it didnt have too much sugar in it nor on top. Very small place, seating for 10-14 ppl only. Decor is cute. Yelp offer unlocked a free biscotti. First time stopping in on my way to work. I got a muffin which was decent and a light blend coffee with I guess hazelnut syrup in it and it was absolutely terrible. When I got to work I even tried to add more creamer to it and it was still bad!!!!! Probably won't stop again. read more
