I live at Richmond Terrace and had a furnace/air conditioner replaced by Bob's Heating. This was a…read more$7000-$8000 installation. Afterwards, I had concerns about how to properly clean the grate, as there was no accessible panel. A representative from Bob's confirmed that the grates are not removable and advised using a product called Nu-Calgon Evap Foam No Rinse to clean the condensing coil. Earlier this year, Matthew's Heating & Cooling inspected and cleaned my furnace. They determined that the condensate drain had not been installed in a workmanlike manner and strongly advised against using the cleaning product mentioned above (see attached report). To date, we have identified at least two furnaces that experienced this same issue. I scheduled a meeting with the condo board president and a representative from Bob's Heating. No one from Bob's showed up for the meeting. I would urge any resident living at Richmond Terrace to use another vendor when replacing their furnace.

I was very unhappy with our old service company. I research the best rated Heating and Cooling companies and called the top 4 companies. Anthony from the Good Guys was the only one to get back to me within a week to give me an estimate, he was there the next day! After getting the other 3 estimates his estimate was still the best for price, quality, and the service they would provide. They were also the only company that would get my new system installed in June! Homes come with all sorts of Heating and Cooling systems, and they date back to all sorts of dates. The Good Guy team knew how to assess my old system and were able to find the best products and installation for me. In fact, they first solved a duct work installation issue by worked with most the old duct work avoiding extra costs. Later when it was time to install my new heating system Anthony called be back with a better more energy efficient heating product saving me a few thousand dollars and also giving me a $500. Rebate! I must say what I was most impressed with was the service of the whole team. I loved working with them, they are the best service team I have ever had in my home! Each member of the team was great! My elderly mother in law was being taken down the con lane by KKomfort and they wanted to price gouge her and do repairs that her boiler did not need. She is elderly and on a fixed income. My husband insisted that she let these folks give her a second opinion. They came in a timely manner, behaved as professionals, and took care of her boiler for a reasonable fee and did not see any of the issues KKomfort claimed she had and wanted to charge her an exorbitant fee! KKomfort made a fake diagnosis on her system! Thank goodness for Christensen and Wisnet! We will use no one else! Go with a long held reputation for great, honest service! Don't be taken for a ride by someone who wants to con you and over charge you!

The furnace in our Northwoods home died while we were away. Fortunately, the weather was such that…read morenothing froze. However, we needed heat to live there. Other companies gave us long lead times to get the furnace fixed or replaced. Tom from Gerondale Heating came out to check our furnace that same evening. He showed me the issue and said we either needed a burner replacement or a new furnace. The old furnace was undersized and a replacement, for a little more money, gave us a proper size and a 10 year warranty. We opted for the new furnace, and Tom Jr. brought one up from Green Bay and had it completely installed and working properly by noon the next day. Great service, great product and friendly people as well!

Last year (Dec 2023), this company was recommended by our propane gas provider. They installed our…read morenew gas range, and almost killed us!! When we used it the evening after the install, our CO2 alarm went off. We thought it might be the batteries, so we changed them, and the alarm kept going off. We opened all the windows & doors (in 30 degree weather) just to be safe, but when we closed them, the alarm went off AGAIN! After calling a dear friend with a local fire dept, we were advised to get the %^#* out of the house & call 911, which we did. When the firefighters entered the house, they said the carbon monoxide was at 40, and that was after we had aired out the house. They also opened all windows & doors and used our fans to air the place out, 3-4 times, and advised us to either find a place to stay for the night, or just keep the windows open & fans on. We opted for the latter, since it was Christmas weekend, and bundled up. We called Lakeshore, and spoke with Jeremy, who offered to come out that night. Since the fire dept was here til almost 10:pm, we told him to come first thing the next morning, which he did. He was very professional, and couldn't apologize enough. He found that the gentleman (co-owner of Lakeside) who installed the LP fittings, failed to change out the Bake/Broil fitting, which lead to the deadly CO2 in the house. The inside of our brand new stove was completely black with soot! He took everything apart so I could clean everything, and made sure all the proper LP fittings were installed correctly. When I heard him on the phone, with the guy who installed the range, ask him why he didn't change out the Bake/Broil fitting, he said he "couldn't find where it went", and just put the LP fittings back in the bag!! Jeremy was great, and said he would not charge for the call-out or repair, since this was obviously their fault. We couldn't get the owner to call us to discuss this egregious error, and then, to add insult to injury, they cashed our check for the original installation, almost 3 weeks afterwards!! Lakeside Heating & A/C might be good at HVAC repair, but don't let them touch your LP range!! Unless, of course, they send Jeremy. He was exemplary, and Lakeshore is lucky to have him on their payroll!!
