Literally the only thing I get in the mail from doctors are bills!! Lol. Her staff is also welcoming and great to work with. They are also reliable, and I feel confident things will happen if they say they will. In the past, I've had front desk staff at different doctor offices tell me they'll call the insurance or fax the results to my primary care, and I have to call and make sure it gets done each time. The admin staff here are wonderful because they actually follow through. The visit itself was also superb. Dr. Nemes was friendly and really listened to all my questions and she answered thoughtfully. I never felt rushed or doubted like I do at some physician's visits. I feel good about the treatment plan and also understand what we are doing! I'm so glad to have found Dr. Nemes and glad to be in her care. I haven't felt that from a doctor in so long. Over the 2 weeks between making the appointment and arriving, I had a lot of improvement but was definitely not all the way better. The resident (or nurse - whoever talks to you before you see the doctor) said Oloff would insist on xrays even though I was very certain they wouldn't see anything there. So I did those. The doctor came in, having reviewed the xrays, and said I was fine - just change my inserts to a different type and do some calf stretching. He said I could return to sport. He never even examined my foot or reviewed the extensive intake form I had to complete in the waiting room about my symptoms or concerns. Things did not resolve so I called the office and suggested maybe I should get an MRI before the appt (because I was afraid otherwise I'd be billed another $800 just for him to say I need to get get an MRI). They agreed. Apparently the doctor checked a box for RadNet not to release report to me so I had to wait 2 more weeks until my appointment to hear that I had plantar fasciitis. I wish he had just messaged me these results in MyChart as soon as he received them - it would have given me a 2 week head start on rehab and saved me the 2 hr drive. Dr. Oloff is very nice but I know other podiatrists (from hearing friend's experiences) who will give you PT suggestions themselves or show you how to tape your foot etc but I just got a diagnosis, the PT scrip, a scrip for NSAIDS, and a warning to take 2 months off from activity.

Heads up! Take care when choosing an emergency contact. This number is not kept private. If there…read moreis a billing issue, the emergency contact will be contacted. After it happened to me, I spoke with the Office Manager about this, and she confirmed that it is standard practice to provide the emergency contact number when trying to resolve a billing issue. A collection agency got involved in collecting a nominal amount of money, ~$45 which I had overlooked. Serramonte Podiatry provided the company both my phone number and the emergency contact number. This was confirmed by both parties. The collection company attempted to contact me a few times, and each time when I answered the call there was a recording prompting me to press "9" to speak with an agent. Each time I did press "9" and the call was disconnected by the company before an agent ever came on the line. It was the holidays, I was with my family, I didn't take time out to try to sort out who was calling me and why. Granted I should have taken a more active role in resolving this issue. However, it seems wildly inappropriate and a break in trust to provide an emergency contact number for a billing issue. A billing issue is not an emergency. When I spoke to the Office Manager, she also confirmed that when providing the emergency contact to Serramonte Podiatry on their form, it is not disclosed that this person will be contacted for non-emergencies, such as billing issues. The care I received at Serramonte Podiatry was satisfactory, however when it comes to privacy at a medical facility a break in trust is inexcusable. I do hope that Serramonte Podiatry will reconsider this policy, as the Office Manager said they would.

Having observed the doctor's approach, it seemed that the emphasis was on asserting authority rather than delivering suitable medical attention. Following the operation, the condition of my cousin's foot wound and infection deteriorated under the doctor's care at Atherton Park Post Acute and Belmont Healthcare Center. I will not give him a good review because, after witnessing his style of care for my cousin, I saw a doctor who lies and manipulates care by insisting that he is always right. After his operation, he did not support my cousin's care, which deteriorated. He likes to bewilder his patients with a rude demeanor and always does things in a negative tone and attitude, then tells his lies to his colleagues in front of the patient then he makes up stories about his patients and the nurses. He has to be the most arrogant person as a doctor. In which his words are untrustworthy.
