But when I was leaving and Dr. Kelleher told me 'good luck in life' as though my life is so awful I need his luck... here we go. One star for always getting me in quickly. That's great. I have an odd schedule so it's hard for me to see anyone. My first appointment ...they accidentally double booked my time slot and the tech rushed. She was actually told me she needs to hurry up bc she needs to see the other patient and she would have to work On me and him at the same time. What? She didn't even assess me fully and I had to point out things she missed bc she was rushing so hard. She 'fixed' my permanent retainer very poorly and told me it's 'normal' for food to eat stuck between my permanent retainer and teeth which IS NOT NORMAL. I had to come back a second time bc the retainer was cutting me over and over which never happened until she tried to 'fix' it. They took down my permanent retainer and made me a clear retainer. The clear retainer was such a poor fit I had to come back a third time at which point the Dr just said since I'm so frustrated why don't I go somewhere else? Why did I need to drive 25 minutes for that? Just tell me that over the phone? Kudos to the guy for cutting his loses but what a crappy ride to get there. Also it was all whatever to me at this point bc I'm sure they weren't trying to fail so hard, they're just not good at their job but whatever it's not malicious but then came through 'good luck with life'. Do you think my life is crap bc I had the audacity to be displeased with your service? Bc I had the nerve to speak up? Is it not ok for a woman to be frustrated so you think any woman who's not quiet and meek must be a miserable b*tch she needs you to wish her luck in LIFE? I called you out on your poor skills. That's not on me. I should be wishing you luck in your continued 'attempts' at being an orthodontist. Sir I am killing it at life. I wish I could say the same about your ability to be a medical professional. EDIT: they told me it's not normal to have an upper permanent retainer. Called another practice, they said is for sure normal. DO NOT TRUST THEIR 'MEDICAL' ADVICE. SECOND EDIT: the receptionist basically refused to run my dental insurance saying they're not going to cover it so why even bother. Why not try? Second practice said they would for sure run it. *I hope you all noted that through out my interact w him he never apologized for the subpar service. Instead he just said...we are busy. My little guy is on the autism spectrum and has a hard time going to the dentist. During our first visit he was very anxious, but Jordan and Dr. Jeff made him feel at ease. We now visit once a month and he loves to visit the dentist because they make it super fun for him and stress free. My little girl visited today for the first time and she loved it. She said she can't wait to return. Lupita and Dr Chris helped us out and they were so gracious and incredibly welcoming! I highly recommend them. Everyone there is amazing. Your office contacted me to confirm the appointments, so I assumed everything was scheduled correctly. When I arrived, I was told the orthodontist doesn't work on Mondays. If that's the case, why was the orthodontic consultation scheduled on a Monday in the first place? I had to arrange childcare for my younger child and take time out of my day to be here, only to be told I'll have to come back another day. This was completely avoidable and feels like a significant waste of my time. I understand that mistakes happen, but this seems like a scheduling issue that should have been caught either when the appointment was made or during the confirmation. I hope you'll review your scheduling process so this doesn't happen to other families.

Two years before that began a life changing experience- after 15 years with damaged front teeth, a worsening overbite, and constantly chipping/fractured molars, I met with Darlene and Dr. Talbot to see if my teeth could benefit from and handle the stressors of braces. Dr. Talbot was cautiously optimistic that he could fix things without causing tooth loss. We moved forward with diagnostics and I arranged a root canal for one problem tooth/abscess. Not long after, we proceeded with application. In the blink of an eye, they were coming off! In another blink, it's already been a year of retention! I can't thank this office enough for their handiwork. To say that this has been life changing really isn't enough. I now have a natural smile, stable front teeth, no tooth loss, really good occlusion, and a pretty epic deal of self confidence. I highly recommend Dr. Talbot and his office for braces.

Over the years I have not had many complaints, other than I feel he is more expensive than other dentist. Recently my opinion has changed. I had a small chip in my top front tooth that Dr. Wood fixed in January 2019. The filling feel out within a few years. Since it was so small I let it go for over a year. It was so small that it could not easily be seen. I decided to have Dr. Wood refill the small chip. I made an appointment assuming there would not be a charge since it was a repair he made previously. After five minutes of work Dr. Wood repaired the small chip again. Upon finishing I went to check out. At that time I was informed there was a charge of $199,00. I was so surprised, I had assumed that the repair would be free since it was such a short time. I paid the charge with a Visa card and expressed my displeasure. After I got home I really felt bad. It was a feeling of being taken advantage of. I called the office to speak with Dr. Wood. I was surprised at his arrogant behavior . I do not ever expect to get a service for free. I have run a business for over 35 years so I do understand very well the importance of making your customer feel valued. He offered no reassurance that he understood my feelings after being a loyal patient and referring many neighbors over the years. I felt like he could have offered as a courtesy to take off a few dollars since I was not expecting to be charged for repairing a filling he had previously done. He didn't even have to numb me, it was that simple. Instead I was made to feel I was not of any value to him and he wished me good luck in the future. I feel he is not appreciative of his loyal customers and in reading the many reviews I have found I am not alone. The morale of this story is my family is no longer going to keep Dr. Wood as our dentist.
