Disappointed. I was going to get Invisalign but when I asked too many questions about the contract,…read morethey refused to perform the procedure on me and refunded my "non-refundable" deposit (likely because they were worried I would sue them if the procedure failed). There were many inconsistencies between what the dentist had told me to my face vs what was written in the contract. For example, they told me to wear the aligners for 18 hours a day minimum, but the contract said 22 hours. The contract also said I had to wear the aligners for 1 year minimum but the dentist told me 5 months. The contract would have forced me to allow Invisalign access to my medical and dental records for educational and research purposes, which I did not want, and the dentist said there was no way to edit or alter the contract. I did not question her on this and I tried to move on to my next question. She wouldn't let me ask any more questions. The dentist felt that I didn't trust her simply because I wanted clarification on some questions regarding the Invisalign contract. That is correct, I do not trust a dentist who is unwilling to answer a few questions about her own contract. (Plus she didn't have the courage to come tell me herself, she had her assistant deliver all this information). Seems fishy to me. I will be telling my family and friends to drop her.

Incredible amount of professionalism and attention to detail, mixed with, over the top, compassion…read moreand caring. After 38 years of caring for patients in the operating room as a dedicated nurse, I can safely say, Dr. Johnson is like no other dentist I've experienced. She sets a standard that goes way beyond exceptional.

Shockingly BAD experience…read more I took my child to this dentists office to have a tooth checked due to complaints about pain. When we saw the x-ray showing a pretty big cavity in the back molar, I asked if this was a regular filling or root canal possibility? The dentist said no, just regular filling and showed me where it had not yet touched the root. I said great. He said "don't worry, you won't have to wait as long to get this worked on as you did to come in for the exam". I had called in earlier a possible emergency, and the wait was about 2 weeks to see him on a first visit. I assumed the filling would be much faster after seeing him. When I went up to the front desk to make the filling appt. his receptionist, Betty, told me the fastest they can do it was a month away. When I told her the dentist said we would not have to wait as long, she seemed irritated and said "nothing I can do, they are all going on vacation, and we are fully booked, you have a nice day now". Very snidely said ... I guess this is how she gets rid of people rather than help them? Rude and unprofessional. When I went home I started getting worried. If this situation turned into a root canal, and this receptionist "Betty" was not communicating correctly with the dentist, a bigger problem might be created. I called and tried to tell her what the dentist had said to me about not having to wait as long. She raised her voice and interrupted me, was extremely abrasive and very aggressively said "NOTHING I can do, THAT'S his schedule...YOU HAVE A NICE DAY NOW". And then she hung up on me! WOW. Who does that? And quite frankly, who employs such a person to be the face of his business? Shocking! I had spoken softly and politely to her, and was just expressing concern as any mom would do for her child!!! Her rude phone manner was so abrupt and I was so rattled it took me several days to recover! Today I received a letter in the mail saying "RN Sutton DMD would not be able to serve as our primary care dentist" under our insurance. So I never got ANY treatment from this dentist, I only got treated like absolute shit from his disgustingly bad front desk person, Betty. And quite frankly I am THRILLED that I had the great good luck to NOT get treated or let my child get treated by this dentist, because if you click on the hidden reviews, there is a person named Roger B. who left an important review about the work this dentist provides, and how his dental health was ruined. Had I read this, I would never have gone to this dentist in the first place! Lesson learned. Proceed to this dentist and his nasty receptionist at your own risk.

There are a lot of ways to get hurt in Oregon, having fun…read more You can hit a tree stump on Mt. Ashland, going 35 miles per hour. You can get bit by a black widow on the neck, simply in the process of gardening - if the spider is sitting on a shovel. You can meet up with a Great White out at Nelscott Reef. I am familiar with all of those experiences, but BY FAR the most dangerous place I have found, in Oregon, is the dental chair in "Doctor" Rae Lynn Sutton's office. Mr. Sutton destroyed my Oral Health by starting an infection in my upper left canine, Tooth #11. At an appointment in July, 2018, when he did a simple filling on that tooth. At an August 2018 appointment, "Doctor" Sutton even commented on my temperature - I was sweating in an air conditioned office. I told him - the tooth hurts, 3 weeks after the original filling. "Doctor" Sutton ignored both those signs of infection, and took no action to arrest the infection. I am 60 years old and had all my original teeth - until I met Mr. Sutton. One of the ways I kept my teeth was by going to the USF Dugoni dental clinic in San Francisco. A first year dental student who caused an infection, and then missed both those signs of infection, pain and elevated temperature, would not make it to the second year. I know that because I had about 20 appointments at the Dugoni school, and they were nice enough to let my participate in some of their clinic teaching sessions. At some point, Mr. Sutton might have been a good dentist. Now he is just an Old, Sloppy, Very Dangerous Dentist, who could not pass First Year Dentistry school - based on his performance during my 2 appointments with him. In order to obtain qualified medical care with my teeth pain, I constructed a simple website, "The Sutton Infection.com" Trust me, you DO NOT want to go to a doctor who has an infection named after them. If you are looking up dentists for someone in your family, you will make absolutely damn sure that no one in your family ever sits in a dental chair in Mr. Rae Lynn Sutton's Oral Health Destruction office.
