She is a clear communicator and keeps me informed of anything I need to know as well as answering my questions. Last winter I had to have a cracked rear molar removed. That said, the last visit I had with him a few months back was both a bizarre and troubling experience. He basicallly destroyed one of my teeth, leaving a massive ridge across the the back of, that I have since had repaired by an ethical, good dentist. He also refused to do a filling that he insisted needed a crown, something I did not feel good about and have since had filled with no problem- the other dentist didn't even make mention of a crown being a potential option. He spent literally 10 min. in my mouth to do 2 fillings, the epoxy he used did not remotely match (my other tooth looks like a candy corn or something) and the other is the included image (taken by the dentist I saw a month later) I seriously felt he was high on something. AVOID.

I love that they were able to show me what they would be doing, from the 3D x-rays to the making of my crowns. I love they were concerned for my comfort and that I was aware and comfortable with what they were going to do, BEFORE they did anything. The final stage was sending me home with excellent verbal instructions (repeated to me at least 3 times so I would remember) of what to do for sore gums, types of food to eat and avoid for the next few days, and if I needed an adjustment to call right away. I can honestly say my gums around the the crowns were tender, but not sore and I am so very pleased with the end results! It made me a little sad to think, I'd only see these wonderful people only 2 times a year. For me that is a first. Love my forever dentist and staff!

Before visiting Dr. Tanner, I had not been to a dentist of any kind in about eight years due to…read morephysical and emotional trauma I experienced at the hands of my last dentist who also left me nearly bankrupt. After that I avoided dentists until recent tooth pain I could not resolve on my own forced me into searching for a new one. Luckily I found Dr. Tanner after doing some research into nearby holistic dentists. After reading online reviews and speaking with very helpful and friendly staff who assured me my specific needs and concerns would be catered to (i.e. not forcing unnecessary x-rays on me when I am electro-sensitive, and not exposing me to chemicals that trigger bad reactions due to my MCS/chemical sensitivities), and explained that Dr. Tanner did his best to first save teeth before heading down the root canal/crown/extraction road, I went ahead and made an appointment. And what I can say is I am so glad I did! Dr. Tanner and his staff made me feel totally at ease and comfortable and really took time to listen to my concerns and address these with patience and caring attention. Dr. Tanner has a great bedside manner and treats patients as fellow humans, whom he does his upmost to help. In my case he worked with me to come up with creative solutions to my problem without causing me any financial ruin or other trauma. I would definitely recommend Dr. Tanner, whether or not you are specifically looking for a holistic approach. But if you are then he's the one to see, and especially if other dentists have let you down and led you astray in the past. While I didn't directly see him interacting with kids, I could tell that he'd be really good with them, especially any who are usually afraid of dentist or doctor's offices (or adults who are afraid.. like me!).
