However, my last visit in 2025 was my final visit. This doctor tried to diagnose me something very serious and recommended that I see a specialist that wasn't even qualified to diagnose the condition he suggested. He also stated what he said were facts about the illness, which were incorrect. Needless to say, he scared me to such an extent...that I did go to a specialist. I didn't have the condition. The handling of it was callous and impersonal. I have moved on to another eye doctor and will never visit this one again.

I have been to this office for 2 visits. My first visit was for an eye exam with Dr. Kristina Dea…read more I came in and a technician did the vision pressure and light testing with me. Dr. Dea did a thorough exam to get me set up with my first pair of glasses ever. She explained things well. I then went over to the glasses section to pick out a pair of frames and had my measurements taken and the technician also let me try on glasses outside to see what they look like in the daylight. I returned 2 weeks later to have my eyes dilated for the rest of the exam as I was not able to have them dilated at my first visit. I had my 2nd exam with Dr. Rebekah Klein. She was great too! It was in this visit that my glasses were ready for pick up. I got progressive glasses because I have some vision loss for distance and it's been really hard to read on my phone. So they are pretty much worn only for driving and when in my phone. I feel I am still getting used to the glasses when driving. I also want to comment that the front desk staff have been nice and have returned my calls quickly when I have had to contact the office.

She is very thorough and explains things well. I'm also very impressed with the staff at Ventura Optometric Vision Care. The workers at the front desk are unfailingly courteous and efficient. Let me give you an example of how efficient this place is. When your glasses are ready, the office sends you a notification. Contrary to what you might expect, you don't need to schedule an appointment to pick them up. You can just drop by anytime and they will have someone available to take care of any adjustments needed to ensure a comfortable fit. So convenient! The location, on Victoria is also very convenient. As is the private parking lot. The waiting room is spacious and reasonably comfortable. There are magazines for people without phones. There is also a children's play area. Oh, and they have a pretty huge selection of frames here too. Frames for days. So many frames. I mean really a lot. Maybe like a thousand. I'm not kidding. Maybe more. He offered to make things right with both my and my wife's glasses, even though it had been several months since I had mine made. We both ended up having to go back to the eye doctor to make sure there was no error with the prescription. After that, we went to the store and explained the situation. Once they heard that Gregg had given his approval, they remade the lenses for both of us. As of today, I've picked up mine and the rainbow edges I was seeing before are gone, as well as a crack that had appeared due to the lenses not fitting the frames right. I'm satisfied that although we originally had a bad experience, Eyeglass Factory made things right in the end. Thanks Gregg!

THEY BROKE MY GLASSES!!!! Be very careful before choosing to come here!!!…read more I came in for a simple repair of replacing nose pads. They were the kind that you just slip on and off. They took apart my glasses before realizing this and were not able to get the metal nose pad holder back on. They insisted I needed the metal part replaced anyway but I had brought the glasses in totally put together totally assembled in the first place (except the one missing nose pad that I came in to get replaced). I love supporting our local businesses but seriously? You have hundreds of different classes and couldn't put mine back together, the way I brought them in to you?? I got eyesight glasses here a few years ago, there was also an issue with getting them repaired or replaced when a part fell off I had to get totally new glasses because they just have in stock what they have in stock. I guess I should have known then not to come back. Thanks for breaking my glasses WITH an attitude.
