Was extremely rude, she insisted that she take a look at my returned items before heading to the register. Which is the first time I've ever been "investigated" at any store. She then processed to tell me that the items in my bag were ineligible for a return due to " them being a couple of years old". Which was not true the items in my bag were purchased during the semi-annual sale of this year. She then decided to tell me in an extremely belittling and basically making me out to be an idiot, that the things on "TikTok" about returning items to the store weren't true. Which is Correct when they are items have been severely used, defaced or no longer have the sku to ring up at the register. The company has a 100% customer guarantee return policy on items that are not defaced, or that have been gently used. Company's words exact. I use to be a bath and body works associate for five years, recently leaving the company meaning within the last month. I did not bother to cause a fuss bc at the end of the day. I'm not an employee and it's really not worth getting into an argument with someone that clearly does not know company policy. But highly do not recommend coming back to the store if you want to like an idiot from the associates that work there. In all my years of being a consumer and ex-employee this is my first time dealing with an associate as nasty as she was. Clearly that is a reflection of management. Bc I don't remember one of the core values of the company being investigating every consumer and then making them feel inferior to "your knowledge of policy". -10000000/10 for customer service with this individual.
