Rich Kitchen provided my family for my mom's eighty-fifth birthday party delicious and beautifully presented food, diligence to detail, cleanliness, and punctuality, making for a memorable and convenient dining experience. My mom did not want to go to a restaurant and preferred to spend her birthday with the family. The pricing was better than I would expect at a restaurant, and we would not have been able to have an enjoyable conversation and great grandkids enjoying themselves playing at my mom's house. Rich Delivered!! Rich provided an extensive menu with multiple appetizers, salad, soup, and entrée options. I put in a venue request, and I received a phone call and emailed customizable menu within an hour. I was a little hesitant since I cook all the family meals but was not disappointed with what Rich delivered. Specific recommendations and experiences include: Bread tray homemade and warm when it arrived. Appetizers Seafood Ceviche an outstanding choice that was extremely fresh and delicious. Mini Bell's charred peppers a big hit with the family outstanding. Caprese on homemade Evoo toast simply amazing. Salad Blackberry fresh and refreshing. Soup Seafood Bisque the best the family has ever had. Entrée Braised Short Ribs and root vegetables with added crab cake amazing as well. Steak and Cake the family favorite. Sides Roasted Cauliflower Caponata excellent choice. Whipped Maple Sweet Potato my moms favorite what can I say a true delight. Desert Chocolate Mousse delicious choice. Rich promptly responded to my inquiry when trying to find a local catering service to provide food at my home for our St. Andrew's Church Ladies Fellowship. In speaking with him, I just knew that he understood my vision for the event and the type of food I was interested in. He was extremely personable and easy to talk to and I felt an immediate connection. He came to my home to assess the kitchen and areas for serving and had great ideas. His follow through was amazing and never made me feel like I was a bother to him (as I can be a very detailed planner). Chef Rich took my simple sandwich and appetizer ideas and turned them into an extraordinary menu with a culinary twist to each item that was displayed beautifully appetizing and superbly delicious! Every bite was a pleasant surprise to what would have been ordinary had I done this myself. Chef's "Boxy" appetizers, spinach artichoke dip, cordon bleu sandwiches, egg salad, his choice of meats, cheeses, olives, and even the crackers in his charcuterie board, his shrimp cocktail sauce, and so many other dishes served are still being raved about today! Chef Rich came early to set up everything, stayed with us the entire event, interacting with my guests in a fun way yet not invasively, and maintained a very professional demeanor. He replenished platters as needed, disposed of empty plates, and cleaned everything. He boxed, labeled any remaining foods, and placed them neatly in the refrigerator. After Chef Rich left, I was in awe of how it looked as if the kitchen was never in use at all. Everything was wiped clean, put away, and to my surprise, he even took the trash out and replaced the trash bags in the receptacles. I just cannot say enough positive things about Chef Rich, his delicious and creative foods and platters, his follow through, timeliness, cleanliness, and his great personality. Our party of 12 decided to have a caterered dinner for New Years Eve instead of trying to book reservations at a restaurant. I contacted Rich Kitchens via his website and he responded within 15 minutes! He was available and went to work on creating menu choices right away. In a matter of 3 days our choices were made and everything was set. Rich and his assistant arrived promptly at our designated time and prepared everything on site. Chef Rich is the real deal. I was lucky enough to find him for a dinner for 20 for my mother's 80th birthday party in Lewes. He made it fun and easy from the beginning and served a beautiful multi-course meal to our guests. Rich is also personable and wonderful to have in your home. Rich made my parents' 50th anniversary a celebration to remember. Due to COVID, we could not have the large party I had envisioned. Instead, Rich came to their home and cooked and served us a four-course meal. It was AH-mazing! My parents said they could not have had a better celebration. Rich was great with communication, prompt, and did a beautiful job on the day of the event. He cooked in their kitchen, served a gorgeous and delicious meal (I mean *really* delicious!), and left the kitchen spic-and-span. And he's charming to boot! Today we had the luxury of once again hiring Rich and Barbara for a day after wedding brunch! They put on a fantastic grab and go spread for the group which included everything from made to order breakfast sandwiches, crab fish deviled eggs, fresh fruit, and other delights which were devoured by children and adults alike! Chef Rich did an excellent job catering our house party last month. We wanted simple Italian and he delivered an over the top Italian experience complete with cured meats, cheeses, and wonderful entree's for us and our 12 guests.
