While Bob is a retired minister he has found his second calling as a very accomplished chef! Breakfast each morning is always a cornucopia of choices and delicious flavors. On my most recent visit, I had a very strict dietary restriction. Not only did the Muncy's accommodate my request, they made me the absolutely most delicious gluten-free (I know... ugh!) muffins I've ever eaten... seriously. The Inn is located on a working farm and therefore relatively secluded. Lots of privacy if that's what you seek. However, Bob and Linda are always happy to engage in conversation. They seem genuinely interested in learning about your story. And if you should ever return, they remember details and want to know what has happened in your life since your last visit. The accommodations are comfortable and quaint. This is after all their primary residence. The inn feels lived in but not precious, not stuffy. I highly recommend the Inn for those looking to escape the big city or those who are traveling up and down the East coast and want to explore what Delaware has to offer. Five Stars!

I was in a vehicle on the way to do a job when I was met with questions and encouraged to smoke weed with some of the other employees. While in the car. I told the employees I don't smoke cannabis or even vape. The employee insisted and joked about it. And persisted that I sit in the back because he was going to smoke weed. At a rest stop before getting to our location and before he could actually smoke the weed, I reported it to Steven, the manager, who insisted that it is going to become legal soon in the state of Delaware, where recreational cannabis without limitation is legal. But insisted his drivers were not going to smoke weed. They told me they were, so I told him what they said. he spinned a little bit and went around the question and tried to questioned whether i wanted the job or not, some shit out of training day. When I tried to explain to him more that I did not want to ride with the weed smokers, he drove off and left me there with them. I told them I was not getting in, I walked back to the job, picked up my bike, and quit. Don't need a low-standard employer who does not screen their employees for criminal activity or excessive recreational drug use. I'm better than that.

He kept our guest on the dance floor and the LED glowsticks were a hit. We loved getting all our photos from the photo booth on a flash drive that I can look back on whenever I am missing our wedding day. We were trying to solidify the plan in April/May for a mid-October elopement along with a several night stay in one of the cottages. What we received was lazy communication and terrible customer service. Nina is the employee to steer clear of. She alibied her piss poor responsiveness by saying the Eastern Shore culture just moved at a very slow pace. It took three attempts to receive an error-free contract. We had questions about the photographer that went unanswered for weeks. After nearly a month of trying to lock in our dates and address some of the finer details we received an email from Nina suggesting that we seek out another photographer or another venue altogether if they weren't moving fast enough for us. We did just that, refusing to beg anyone to take our money. Then today, three months later, we received an email from Nina asking us if we'd like to proceed. I responded to her email telling her we made other arrangements and that I'd be leaving feedback online about our experience with her. Attention David and Hillary Rinehart (owners), Nina is poorly representing your establishment and costing you money and your reputation.

We stayed in Marley's Cottage and it was incredible. The red door entrance from our parking space felt like stepping into a secret hideaway. Inside we had a fireplace, a tub on the screened back patio, and a porch swing where we enjoyed our morning coffee. It was private, quiet, and felt like our own little world. Breakfast in the Manor House was outstanding with fresh eggs from their own chickens, and the daily afternoon tea became one of our favorite parts of the day. We met other guests, enjoyed fresh pastries, and had great conversations with the owners, Dave and Hilari. They are warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about both hospitality and preserving the history of this place. Talking with them about Brampton's story and their vision was a highlight of our stay. Definitely try their Steampot dinner! It's loaded with fresh local seafood and felt like a true taste of the Eastern Shore. The property itself is beautiful to walk with gardens, meadows, and wildlife everywhere. Evenings by the fire pit were relaxing and made even better by Squeaky, the inn's charismatic cat. Brampton 1860 is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or just time to slow down and recharge.
