Really not sure where to begin about Steve, his wife, Lori, or their business, my husband and I have too many wonderful things to say! My husband, Jeff, and I were married on July 10, 2021 at Silver Swan Bayside. Before my husband and I were engaged, we attended several weddings where Steve was the DJ and when we were planning our wedding we knew exactly who we wanted. We looked no further than Steve Moody's Entertainment Connection. We began working with Steve and Lori for our DJ services and Sandals honeymoon planning in January 2020. Steve and Lori were with us through everything when all went crazy with the world. This time was so extremely heartbreaking for everyone, Lori and Steve comforted us, assured us, and helped us to reschedule our big day and honeymoon from July 2020 to July 2021. We were originally contracted to have Jim Baker as our DJ, but he was already booked on our new date. Steve then told us that he would be doing our wedding himself. We felt so unbelievably blessed and it truly showed us that Steve was not only a great vendor but a truly amazing person. Steve and Lori counted down the days with us and when the day finally came I feel like they were as excited as my husband and I! The planning process and his portal made planning so easy and the song lists were beyond helpful. Steve truly has his business down to a science and delivers the best possible experience to each couple he works with. Our wedding reception was nothing short of a DREAM and Steve helped the night to run so seamlessly! Steve worked amazing with our other vendors to make things perfect for us! Of course he knew most of them, I think everyone is his best friend! He did the best job mc'ing the night and everyone had the best time on the dance floor! Steve's wife, Lori, also deserves a special shout out! My husband and I knew we wanted a Sandals honeymoon and planned on booking ourselves. When we found out Lori was a Sandals Travel Agent we began working with her and she made everything so easy! Booking ourselves would have been a big mistake! She is so knowledgeable and has been to most of the resorts! She helped us to get exactly what we wanted and helped us to reschedule when we had to. We had the BEST time on our honeymoon and we could not have done it without Lori! There is no one better than Steve, Lori, and their business! They are the BEST of the BEST and and the dream team! There are no other words to describe Steve and his crew besides amazing. My husband and I hired Steve for our wedding in September 2021. Steve is absolutely amazing at what he does. When first contacting Steve it was by email. As always, his email back was very quick. He followed the email up with a phone call to talk over important details which was super helpful for us in deciding to hire Steve for our wedding day. Steve's planning document made planning and picking songs a breeze (the hardest part is deciding what songs to pick, which have no fear, Steve will help with that too!!). Day of our wedding Steve brought his daughter, Taylor, (who is in training to run her own events in the future) as his day of assistant. My husband and I value family run businesses as we have our own family run business so having Taylor there with Steve as a dad/daughter duet just verified we had chosen the right DJ for our day. Taylor is just as sweet and amazing as Steve. She helped with behind the scenes timing as we prepped to walk down the isle and helped run the DJ booth as needed if Steve had to step away to do other tasks such as update me on timelines, etc. Steve and Taylor made sure things ran smoothly by acting as a coordinator (seriously the most helpful vendor we had day of) for other vendors and keeping our timeline together to make sure we still had time for all the activities/parts of our day we didn't want to miss. Steve and Taylor are so personable and we felt like they were friends that we had known for years that just happen to run the DJ booth. Hiring Steve was easily the best decision we made for our wedding. Leading up to the event, he clearly outlined what information he needed from us in a convenient online portal. We got emails regularly from his team, checking in and sending tips/reminders leading up to the event. There ended up being a snowstorm the night before our wedding. Steve went above and beyond and drove multiple hours the night before the wedding through the snow after finishing up at another event, and stayed at a hotel room nearby so he could make sure he would be at our wedding with no problem. When the bridal party got to the reception, he was standing and waiting to greet us so we could get started as soon as we were ready. That was just one example of how Steve was always right where we needed him at the wedding. We didn't have a coordinator at the reception and it literally did not make a difference - Steve was incredible, kept us on our timeline, and did a fantastic job emceeing the event. The music was perfect and our guests never left the dance floor. Finally, we bought glowstick necklaces for the dance floor, and had set them up with the connectors in a separate container. Before the reception, Steve took the time to put connectors on the end of all 100+ necklaces, so he could just walk over to the dance floor and hand them out while everyone was partying, instead of making guests stop dancing and put them on. The little details like that make such a difference and Steve clearly understands that. So - book Steve! You've found your perfect wedding DJ! read more

Steve and his team were phenomenal. I was very conscientious about finding the perfect DJ, because a DJ can make or break your reception. Steve was wonderful to work with, extremely responsive, and went above and beyond to make our reception a success. Multiple guests commented on how great Steve was. I never had to ask him to do anything; he was very perceptive and anticipated any potential issues and addressed them before they even happened. For example, my MOH noticed that not many people had signed our guestbook, so she and a few bridesmaids moved the guestbook to a different area that was more visible. I asked one of them to ask Steve if he could make an announcement to the guests, but before the question even left my mouth, he was already announcing to the guests that anyone who hadn't signed the book yet could go over to do it. It might seem like a minor thing, but that level of dedication to his profession is SO appreciated after two years of planning and searching for vendors. We also booked a photobooth from Steve, and it was amazing! Our guests had a lot of fun with it. Their photo printer had accidentally broken on the day of, and they upgraded us to the next package and sent us a printed photo book, even though they definitely didn't have to! What more is there to say? I can't recommend Steve Moody enough. If you are looking for a DJ, just stop and book them now! It will be one of the best decisions you'll make in your wedding/event planning. read more

"Uncle Steve!" is now what we call Steve, our wedding DJ, now that our wedding day has come and gone. The number of people who came up to my husband and I during the reception to ask how Steve was related to us tells you EXACTLY the kind of fun-loving, personable, and unique guy that Steve is. From the start of the wedding process to the end of the night, Steve was there to answer any questions and give advice about music and order of events. He thoroughly explained every process to us and made sure everyone in our wedding party understood the order of events, without being pushy or rude. When Steve told us before the ceremony, "Just treat me like your family, don't be shy or afraid to ask me anything or to change something up," I wasn't actually expecting him to feel like family at the end of the night...but I was wrong! Steve is so funny, caring, and talented at what he does. You can tell he truly loves his job and wants to help make sure you have the perfect day. He knew exactly when to ramp up or slow down the music according to who was on the dance floor and is incredibly talented at keeping things flowing effortlessly throughout the night. I knew when looking for a DJ service for our wedding I wanted the music at our wedding to memorable, upbeat, and fun. Steve and his daughter, Taylor, went above and beyond that expectation. Prior to the wedding Steve and his team were attentive at checking in to see if we had any questions or needed anything. He definitely had our best interest at heart from making sure he pronounced bridal party names correctly, having all special music pulled without issue, and offering advice and kind words. On our day, he was prompt and punctual and helped to keep everything moving smoothly. They did a phenomenal job of reading the crowd and changing up the music to keep the dance floor packed and energetic. I heavily depended on reviews when I was picking vendors for my wedding and Steve and his crew had 5 stars on every website I saw. I was thinking, can that really be true?? I decided to trust those reviews and here I am giving him another 5 star review because it is completely deserved. Steve was so wonderful to work with and we have received so many compliments on "how great the DJ was." From our first consult call to the wedding day, the whole process was just so easy. Steve is just the life of the party. He did a great job helping things move along during our reception. He spoke just enough to outline the speeches and dances but it was never too much. From the very beginning, Steve had the best and most professional communication about our wedding process and timeline. We had to cancel a destination wedding and had about 6 months to plan an entirely new wedding. Steve helped to make this process so easy for us and we didn't have one thing to worry about. We originally booked our wedding with Steve Moody in May 2020. During Covid, we were fortunate enough to re-schedule our wedding for May 2021 with the same venue; Steve worked with us through the entire process and executed a perfect show for our wedding and reception. Steve's setup/consultation process was probably my favorite part of working with him. He setup a super-user-friendly web interface to capture a variety of information based on our interests for the wedding and reception - topics that could typically warrant hours of discussion (and money). This allowed Steve to efficiently put together a plan for us. We and our guests also felt that Steve and his crew went far above the typical call to ensure that our wedding went smoothly. He took in feedback and requests, used his own judgement to make changes on the fly, and was super sociable with everyone. He also managed to cross-train a new recruit on his team that same night, who also seemed to really be liking the job. Steve Moody Entertainment was highly recommended to us by a friend of our parents. Our DJ was Matt Spence. He and the team were very communicative. We received many email reminders about payments, timelines and playlists, which we really appreciated as wedding planning is a lot! We ended up splurging and getting the photobooth and we're SO glad we did! Unfortuntately there was a techincal error with the booth during the night, but the attendant didn't bat an eye and offered to finish the night with photos on his phone. They ended up creating and sending us a photo album of the photobooth photos because of the mishap. The album turned out really well! All of our guests really enjoyed it. The whole night was fantastic! Even the manager of the venue said she'd never worked a wedding where the dance stayed so lively from start to finish!
