Excited we were present to witness the grand opening of RICH JUICE BAR in the heart of the Cherry Hill Community. This is the first fully youth operated juice bar in South Baltimore. The Rich Juice Bar offers healthy, delicious cold-pressed juices, acai bowls, fruit smoothies, and plant-based food options (partnered with) The Veggie Table The atmosphere was very clean, brightly lit and they had a nice open space. Everyone including the managers was very friendly helpful and pleasant. 5 They offer a very tasty spread on the menu to include healthy shots. I observed them as they carefully crafted the most beautiful acaí bowls and smoothies. The ingredients were all fresh colorful and cut fresh. The juice drinks and smoothies all looked refreshingly fresh! 5 The entire crew worked very well as a team under pressure with the amount of orders they processed on today. 5 I ordered a few of the fruit smoothies, pressed juices and the vegan cheese steak egg rolls and all I can say is that I can't wait to go back there. Please do yourself a favor and go visit them and let us know what your experience was like. They have been officially Stamped by A.i. If you want to support the first youth-operated juice bar in Cherry Hill, head over to the RICH Juice bar! I attended the grand opening on Saturday, May 27. The young man who took my order and my daughter and her friend's order was nice and pleasant. The juices are refreshing and the açai bowl was tasty, delicious with granola adding a perfect crunch. My 11-year old daughter enjoyed her berry smoothie. I, also, enjoyed the vegan cheesesteak eggroll which came with tater tots. I'll be back over the bridge soon.

Apple pie spice juice. Sooo good!!

One of the best meals I've had in Baltimore! And the service is exceptional!…read more Oleum is an upscale vegan restaurant with a large variety of menu options. Our server, Josie, went above and beyond to take care of us. She provided excellent recommendations and was super friendly and attentive! We ordered the Batata Harra, Saltat Marrakech, and the Stuffed Dates for apps. All of them were incredible, but the Saltat was so refreshing and the Dates truly stole the show. The creamy ricotta filling with red pepper sauce was to die for. For mains, we shared the Lasagna and did a half and half pizza of The Gabriel and the Toum Raider. The lasagna was super savory and very filling--perfect to share! I enjoyed both pizzas, but the Gabriel was my favorite. I loved the combo of the nutty pesto and spicy Calabrian chilis. Josie brought out a cupcake for dessert to celebrate my friend's birthday, and it was probably one of the best vegan treats I've ever had! Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town!

I had the pleasure of speaking to Tony who not only checked himself but spoke with the chef to confirm the menu was peanut free. * Note there are peanuts used in the cocktails * it was a true pleasure to have an allergy taken seriously and made us more confident to take our daughter there. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very personal and quaint, there was a high chair available for our daughter to use. All the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. For the food we tried the stuffed dates, miso mushroom bucatini and the toum raider pizza. The stuffed dates were recommended by our waitress and they were delicious. They were both sweet, savory and a little spicy. The walnuts that topped it were a nice touch to add texture to the already soft dates, I enjoyed it a lot. The miso mushroom bucatini was also a favorite of ours as it didn't taste vegan at all to us. It was creamy and the pasta was cooked well. My daughter enjoyed this a lot. The pizza wasn't my favorite but I'm also not a huge fan of vegan cheese so that is my fault but the miso mushroom bucatini was truly so delicious. Overall I really enjoyed the experience, the service was impeccable and I would definitely visit here again!

My Mamas Vegan is an excellent Black Owned/Woman Owned/vegan restaurant located in Baltimore…read more I pre-ordered the Super Bowl Slider Platter from My Mamas Vegan. Pre order was easy, I did it all via my phone a couple of weeks in advance. Pickup was also super easy, I found parking right on the street, went in, and had my food all in my hands in less than ten minutes. The slider tray consisted of 10 Sliders. There were two each of Meatball Parm, French Onion Melt, Cheeseburger Cheesesteak, BBQ Jackfruit and Oyster Chick'n. All of them were well done, held up in transit and tasted good as leftovers. That being said, the BBQ Jackfruit were my favorite. If you ever have the chance to get your hands on her BBQ Jackfruit, definitely do it! The sliders came with three sides: a container of Bourbon Baked Beans, Traditional Mac Salad and Chips and Chili Queso These were also well done. Price wise, My Mamas Vegan seemed comparable to other vegan places in the area. I think the slider tray cost about 40 dollars and I, eating everything myself, had leftovers for days. The menu is constantly rotating. Follow their Instagram page where they list their weekly menu as well as specials and pop ups that are running or will be coming up.

Wish I could have purchased half the size and added another food item because I wanted to try more, but you know how those vegan prices are... Street parking is available. The cashier was nice, helpful and patient. I asked alot of questions. I will definitely return to try other items. It was great to see vegan dessert is offered and meal prep grab n go items were available too. This is a carryout place, not a sit down and eat restaurant. Inside is small and basic

Their vegan chicken shawarma is my favorite food in Baltimore!…read more I came up for a couple days last year and had cravings for it ever since. Just moved to the area, and I was heartbroken to see it wasn't on the menu. But it's back!!! Ordered it yesterday, and *angelic singing*

I can't speak on the customer service because I didn't talk to anyone. I ordered at the kiosk and they called my number and that was it. I paid $19.45 for my meal. I order a side of falafels (3) and the street bowl with beef flank, tzatziki, and mild red pepper sauce. The falafels were way too crispy. I feel like compared to other falafels I've tried these were on the hard side. Thankfully I had some tzatziki sauce to dip them in, if I didn't, they would have been a little hard to eat. The flavor was okay but the texture was not appealing. I really wanted to get beef shawarma but they were out so I opted for the beef flank. I wish I would have just gotten chicken instead. The bowl came with rice and a lettuce salad that was underneath the beef. I'm not sure if the lettuce had arugula in it as well, but the lettuce gave sort of a bitter taste which I did not care for at all. Did not taste good so I would add a lot of tzatziki sauce to it to cut down on the bitter taste. The beef was okay, nothing to rave about. I was just very underwhelmed with my food. Not sure if I would give it a try again. If so, I would definitely get something else or build my own bowl maybe. Try it for yourself and see how you like it.

I've been following them on Instagram for a while and drooling over their posts LOL. I finally was in the area and came by. First of all, I had a hard time choosing my meal. I wanted to try everything LOL. I decided on the Mac black bean burger with a side of fries($20). I see why their Mac is award-winning. I forgot it was vegan for a second! So delicious and creamy. The black bean burger was seasoned VERY well and cooked perfectly. Most black bean burgers get messy and fall apart, this one didn't. Fries were great as well, perfect amount of salt. -Customer service was amazing. Cashier was laughing with me cause I was one of the 10000 people who couldn't find the entrance LOL. -Restaurant was clean and well stocked. I love this place and come here whenever I'm in town!…read more You order using the kiosk they have inside and they'll call your name when it's ready. It's never too busy when I go, so the wait is never any longer than 15 minutes. I recommend the Mac n Cheese burger, the drummies, and the cauliflower bites. My favorite thing is ordering buffalo chicken drummies and adding them to the mac n cheese to make buffalo mac! They should add it as a menu item cause it's bomb. I wouldn't recommend the desserts, a little too hard and too sweet for my liking. This is definitely one of my favorite vegan spots in MD !

Adorable and quirky cafe that is 100% worth all the hype, the long waits, and the hard-to-snag…read morereservations. I visited Golden West Cafe on a Sunday afternoon with a moderately large group (7 people). We were originally hoping for a brunch reservation but could only snag a 3 PM slot -- a testament to how incredibly popular they are -- although we ended up being ready at 2 PM and called ahead to ask if they could seat us earlier. They, very graciously, were able to make space for us to come a tad earlier. The food was absolutely incredible -- it was some combination of American comfort and Mexican / Latin American, with classic Mexican items like huevos ranchos, fish tacos, and enchiladas right next to traditional American brunch selections like chicken and waffles, hot cakes, and so forth. Their menu is also remarkably vegetarian / vegan-friendly, and it features their own house-made vegan chicken! We decided to split a few items, including the zucchini brie hot cakes, fish tacos, and vegan hot honey chicken and waffles. All three were outstanding, but my favorite had to be the zucchini brie hot cakes. The cakes were remarkably soft and fluffy, and I loved the bit of sweetness from the zucchini (and maple syrup, of course), and the extra hit of rich creaminess and savoriness from the brie. It was the perfect sweet and savory combo, and it was easily one of the biggest surprises of the meal. The rest of the items were also delicious, although not quite as wowing. The fish tacos were well-fried and flavorful, and I was quite impressed by how crispy and thin their accompanying fries were. I really enjoyed the flavor of the hot honey vegan chicken and waffles, but I was, admittedly, a little bit thrown off by the texture of both. It's very possible that the waffle had just gotten a bit soggy because I ate this dish last and it wasn't quite at its peak freshness. Either way, I really enjoyed my time here, and it's 100% worth I try. I can't wait to make my way back to Hampden to sample the rest of their menu!

Golden West Cafe…read more First visit to Hampden and Golden West Cafe -- and it definitely lived up to the hype. Drinks: Baltimore Vice -- strawberry-forward with a Don Q rum float, coconut foam, and freeze-dried strawberries. Light, refreshing, and very easy to drink. Piñata Riot -- a tequila twist on a jungle bird. Slightly bitter, tropical, and well-balanced. Both cocktails were solid and worth ordering again. Food: Green Chili Burger -- while it didn't quite hit true Albuquerque green chile standards, it was still flavorful and satisfying. A strong menu option. Zucchini Brie Pancake -- the standout dish. Unexpectedly balanced between sweet and savory, rich without being too heavy, and something I'd absolutely reorder. Overall: Great first impression. The menu has a lot of variety, the cocktails are creative and well-executed, and it feels like one of those places you could keep coming back to and try something new every time. Would I go back? Absolutely.
