I was very specific with request for a luxury car (that didn't smell like smoke) comparable to our car needing repair for rental but we were greeted with a small RAV4? Sized car. I refused the vehicle and then started looking for a car myself. It takes a few days to line up a luxury rental so work had to be delayed. I called State Farm & told them we needed to find a suitable vehicle and they were accommodating with increasing coverage if necessary. We found a suitable model in Asheboro and Enterprise brought it to the local office but it smelled like freshly smoked marijuana. So no go with that vehicle. I was ambushed when I asked to meet with the owner Brian Owens. He couldn't maintain eye contact when we met so I suspected he was upset. He was totally focused on our '24 Genesis not being a luxury vehicle..saying BMW, AUDI, Mercedes, Lexus were not in the same class. And it was a "Hyundai". Same price ranges and similar performance but somehow not the same class. Insulting. The new owner Brian Owens is insulting and doesn't take responsibility for what his business represents as services provided. His phone script (that he says he wrote) states that they work with your insurance company to set up car rentals to make it easy for customers to use their service. He did not handle the situation professionally. I even asked that we discuss in an office or away from the front desk but he insisted on being loud and confrontational in front of his front desk staff. Not a nice guy. After our encounter I called the front desk and apologized for our discussion that had to happen in front of them. I doubt this is the culture previous owner Larry Walker wants as a legacy and I feel badly for the staff who work in Brian's toxicity.

At Genuine they went to replace the tires but brought me back to show me that the front tires were in practically brand new shape and said they wouldn't feel right giving me four new tires when I only needed two. So two it is. One of my first experiences here a few years back was when I had a nail in my tire. I brought it in. They took off the tire, tested it for leaks, found none, checked the balance and put it back on. When I asked them how much I owed them for doing that, their response was "Nothing. Just bring it back when you need something done." Genuine Car Care Center is a PRIME EXAMPLE of how a small business automotive service provider should be. If you live anywhere remotely close to Kernersville make them your go to provider!

I came in without an appointment, and they had my car in the garage within 15 minutes. The front desk staff was very nice, and the waiting area was comfortable, if a bit dated. Midway through the service, they offered to change my filters, air and cabin. The price was reasonable and there was no pressure to do so. I had them go ahead and do it. They use synthetic blend motor oil on all there oil changes, so really, you can probably go well beyond the recommended 3,000 mile interval, which died with the days of inefficient engines and conventional oil. The service took about an hour total, including the 15 minute wait. I received email and text updates on the service and a vehicle condition report. Nice to see a local shop be a bit tech forward in their dealings. Would recommend this shop to anyone in the High Point area.

I sat with them while my car was getting worked on. I was a bit uncomfortable with them talking about bankruptcy while I was in their presence, but did my best to ignore, and not eavesdrop. They replaced a battery on my Honda CR-V, and asked me to return the next day for the tires. In replacing the battery, the Honda computer systems did not come back online. They told me they tried to fix them, but could not, and that it would be no problem for the dealership to do so. This knocked out everything from lane assist to cruise control. The next day a sensor went off 1 minute from leaving them- the technician had not filled the tires back up after putting them on. Then I get a text from them asking if a headlamp was in my car. Finally my "no problem" reset to the computer systems cost an additional $114 at the Honda dealership. Please be aware of this potential, if you are considering letting them change your battery. When I texted to let them know this had happened, their response was offensive to the point that I felt compelled to let others know of their customer service.
