A real mixed bag of stuff here at Riccardi's two Sundays ago for lunch. We rumbled in about an hour after they opened and overall, the restaurant was wide open in terms of seating. No issues with being seated or with having our drink order taken or house bread being offered right away. Just to skip more or less to the crux of the issue, it was about the details. Baked Penne with Meatballs Cheese Filled Ravioli Baked Lasagna The lasagna was as advertised and there was no real issue there. Good sized portion and the person who ordered that was very satisfied. The ravioli was presented in what I'll call a sauce rationed format. Small-ish swirl of sauce on the middle of the dish while everything not in the middle (give or take 65% of the portion) was raw dog dry. But mercifully, extra sauce was available, just in an odd format. Enter the penne. The penne itself were overcooked and the cheese on top was well beyond baked. More like a hardened helmet. The meatballs were served on a separate plate, and they came to the table, at best lukewarm but were swimming in a Buzzard's Bay of sauce that was dripping over the side of the plate on to the table. At the end of the day, the service was good and the food was sent out fairly fast. But with that said, one thing was more or less cold while its accompaniment was overcooked and another item was basically dry. If there is a next time, maybe we just skip entrees and go with the takeout pizza. That side of the restaurant had a steady flow of people coming in and out and seemed to be where the action was at. Love this place so much that we are here multiple times a week.... Food is delicious! Staff is even better!! But I have to ask.... Where did the Christmas music go? We were here last night and it was very joyful and merry ... the Xmas atmosphere we wait all year for. Unfortunately things seem to be back to the Italian music playlist on repeat. Stopped in while out and about in Fairhaven and I am glad we stopped here for a late lunch early dinner. We were greeted right away and seated. The interior has a nice comfortable old school Italian restaurant feel that I like. Our waitress came over and she was very pleasant and took our drink and appetizer order. We had the Garlic bread with pesto and roasted peppers with olives and it was fantastic. We also had a small salad that was very fresh. My wife ordered the steak Au' Poivre and said it was the best she had in a long time. I had the chicken and scallop fettuccine type meal and it was incredible with way more scallops and chicken than I thought it would have, you won't go hungry. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely be going back! Also the value for money is fantastic. Just ok.... A First & Last time restaurant for us. Not totally bad just not up to the Italian Restaurants we have access to in Rhode Island. Pleasant atmosphere and our waiteress was nice.... just not at all overly outgoing. The best part of the meal was my dinner salad which I gave to my wife. She really enjoyed it. My veal parm was a disappointment. Literally had burnt garlic pieces in it. My wife's' Chicken Broccoli & Ziti was just ok. My mother's in law's fettuccine Alfredo must not have been good when even she said First & Last. The Veal parm was so small I ordered a cheese pizza which was somewhat good. Nothing I would come back or order take out for. We did order a side of meatballs for an appetizer and they had a very soft texture to them. Not good. Overall disappointing. read more

Riccardi's is a great addition to the area. I used to live in New Bedford where the original Riccardi's is. The food is all good. The pizza is paper thin crust which I love. They have their own take on subs too. The roll is shorter than average and hearty so they load them. The staff are always friendly and attentive. I wish I could go more! read more

First visit here. Service was good and prices were great for what is out there these days, but now I know why. Ordered Florence Feast and garlic bread for carryout. Ordered wine at the bar first. Very fast service but when I got home, the Italian sausage was not included but listed on the menu as being included. Alfredo was just ok, salad just ok, garlic bread just ok and lasagna was meh. I live in California and went here on vacation. We were a party of 5 and of course everyone has their needs, especially me!! I eat gluten free and the acidic tomato pasta sauce doesn't agree with me so I rarely go to Italian restaurants. That being said, they make pizza with cauliflower crusts. It was great!! We went easy on the sauce and I found a new love!!! Too bad it's 3000 miles away. They treat you like family, ignoring you but not too much. They could see We were family reuniting and catching up and just enjoying being together. They were discrete about refilling drinks and somehow my water glass was Always full. Not an easy task. We also ordered take out. We received the same great service and excellent food! If you're In the area...not 3000 miles away, this family owned business is worth a few miles out of your way. My husband has 60 first cousins near the area...we'll be visiting again soon! read more

We arrived in around 4pm on a Friday just before the dinner rush. We were seated right away and the service was great! I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and black olives. My pizza was a thin crust style and a big portion too! My boyfriend ordered a meatball sub. Both tasted fresh and were super yummy! I later had a chocolate desert martini which was amazing and presented beautifully! I'd definitely recommend this place! I grew up on Riccardi's linguica pizza so whenever I travel back to the area, I stop for takeout if I can. As I was visiting a relative on Sconticut Neck, this time I went to the Fairhaven location. Pizza was good as always --though I think I slightly prefer the Hathaway Road location version- I feel like they use more tomato sauce. The antipasto was disappointing - using fewer ingredients with less cheese and fewer cold cuts than I've had in the past. read more

My husband violently blew chunks after eating here. He swears it was their thin crust pizza, which if i do say so myself, was extremely disgusting and gut wrenching. One things for sure, the Moniz family will never dine here again! read more

Went to Riccardis in Fair Haven for dinner. There were 7 of us. We had our entrees, and adult beverages. The food was very good and the bill came out to just under $200. I am thankful and grateful to see that Riccardis restaurant still believe in hard working families and make delicious and affordable dinners where friends and family can gather!!! Ty!!! read more

The last 2 time I've ordered I've had nothing but problems. Last time food was undercooked and I had to drive back there to complain then wait 15-20 min for a new order. Yea they rectified it with new food but didn't seem to think my time and has driving back there and then sitting there waiting was worth anything now this most recent issue I order a 2 topping pizza and omg the chicken was sliced paper thin. I've never seen chicken sliced like a potato chip then spread on a pizza so it was all super dry and it's clear they didn't even season the chicken i guess they assumed the pizza would be enough flavoring .. even had my wife try it and she said the same thing bland and dry plus all around the edge was black from being over cooked. I will say my wife's meal she was very pleased with and enjoy but this is 2x I've gotten screwed and I'm considering just not going there anymore. read more

Ordered take out tonight at 7:26 was told ten minutes. Got to the restaurant paid and they said be ready in 2 minutes. Well 20 minutes later finally got my order. I stood at the counter and the server never once came to me to tell me about the delay. So they either lost or forgot my order. Communication is key and they fell very short of that part of the service. read more

Good..Soo good! My friends and I were gonna try out pasta house but Monday night was packed!! So we yelped and came across Riccardi's. We love love the seafood casserole! The casserole itself came separately with the linguine. The taste is unique and just yummmm! The sirloin steak was cooked perfectly-medium. However the gravy and the sea salt on top were a bit salty. The buttered rice that came with the sirloin was not as expected. I didn't love it but well.. It goes well with the sirloin I guess. Overall. A warm and cosy Italian restaurant in fairhaven! My family loves this places lasagna, I can't eat dairy so I don't do the lasagna but I decided to try the chicken cacciatore with spaghetti. Now it wasn't the worst I have ever had BUT the spaghetti with red sauce tasted like tomato paste out of a jar thrown on noodles, no seasoning at all. And the chicken with the peppers and mushrooms however had more garlic than I could ever imagine. I had no balance with my meal it was either bland as ever or way overdone, not a place for me. Love the food, the waitress was attentive and friendly and the cost was amazing. We liked that they asked if we wanted a bread basket (warm Italian bread). This was no additional charge! The sauce on the spaghetti was delicious and tasted homemade. The eggplant parm was perfect and both meals came with a side salad (or soup if you prefer). For 20 years I lived in the Natick/Framingham area where 20% of the restaurants were Italian. I am used to getting good neighborhood Italian food at reasonable prices. Now I live in Wareham and I long for the days when there was good Italian (or Chinese) food just down the block. I think I have tried every Italian restaurant from Plymouth to New Bedford and found a range from bad to OK+, but none really good. If you want really good Italian food, the closest place is Providence (an hour drive for me). The two places that rated OK+ for me are both in Fairhaven. One is Riccardi's and the other is the Pasta House. Everything we ordered at Riccardi's was OK, but not great, the same for the service. I think I like the Pasta House a bit more. A real surprise was the "Party Size" lasagna I ordered for take out. It costs $45 and can be had cold or hot. The surprise was that it weighed 13.5 lbs. It was way more food than I needed for the party. I got it cold so I could heat it up just before I needed it. The instructions said to heat for 1 hr or until center is hot. I heated for 1:05 and the center was just barely warm. Had to put it back in the oven for more cooking. The taste was as expected, better than average, but not great. read more

Be honest folks. This place is an abomination of "Italian" food. "Tender eggplant" is chewy undercooked slices of what appear to be boiled slices of eggplant. Gross. $15 spaghetti and meatballs referred to as al dente gets you over cooked linguine with two flavorless, small meatballs. Who ever cooks this slop clearly have not tasted any of their creations. We drove down from Middleboro to try "The Pasta House" and there was an hour and 45 minute wait. We opted for a Thai restaurant around the corner and noticed Ricciardis on the right so we thought we'd give it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised. Good service, salads were tasty and fresh. My friends steak aupauve was cooked to perfection. The gravy over the steak and side of risotto complemented the dish nicely and was also good. I had the Florence feast, which was a huge portion of Lasagna , fettuccine Alfredo and a sweet sausage link. Very good. The ratatouille side my friend had with his meal was very good as well. Ok, I LOVED the first meal I had from here (eggplant parmesan) but my second try was not so good (chicken, broccoli & ziti). The ziti was all dente, but dry and bland. As if it was just drained straight from the pot of water it was boiled in. Nothing 'saucey' or even olive oil or buttered. Just dry bland ziti piled with chicken and broccoli that had some tasty seasonings stuck to them. I'm just still wondering why even put the food on top of dry plain pasta? Masterful is the pasta with scallops and the white brandy sauce, I was quite floored with it, just excellent. An enormous number of scallops came, at least ten large. It was impressive. This was a really great experience. The food was delicious and abundant. Wait staff was excellent, restaurant is super clean and the prices are very reasonable. We ordered the SICILIAN FEAST FOR TWO which was priced at $28.95 and it was delicious. We had enough left over for another dinner which we took home. That price also included a 1/2 liter of wine! I been here a few times and my husband been here more than a hand full. Each time he does he always has told me their food is amazing. For my experience it was great too. The only complaint I have are our server could do better. When they took our salad they took my fork and forgot to give me one once I have my dish I waited for a few minutes so my husband had to grab somebody else to get us one. Also it's our first time ordering large Anti pasta salad she didn't even told us the dressing is on our table which we were waiting for her to bring us a dressing it would be good to mentioned that. Oh well just a bad experience overall the haddock w/risotto, Lobster w/ pasta was so good and plenty of it. Will still come here because of the food just a little to detail will be great. read more
