Dr Thornley is different, in that she approaches the issues from a clinical and wholistic perspective. She takes the time to listen , to offer lifestyle suggestion and complete all necessary testing to determine causation. She has some quirks, she's the sole operator, the office decor is from another time, but the one on one approach is refreshing and the best I have experienced so far. She creates a great deal of trust in her style. My migraines have already improved.

Talking to friends later who are familiar with local doctors, it was mentioned that he is not known to see patients but is known more for courtroom testimony. This kind of made sense when I mistakenly went in the office next door (which happens to be a similar practice). That waiting room is expansive. I immediately knew I was in the wrong place and went next door to Kassicieh, whose waiting room is very small. On a subsequent visit, I brought my wife so that I'd get a different perspective on this doctor. She didn't like him either, and thought that he was possibly dismissive...and she's not the kind to sugarcoat anything so I accept her take on face value! The office staff is very dismissive and can be unprofessional. The little dog in the office was puzzling, to say the least. The dog is his pet, but why are you bringing your pet to work??? I almost stepped on it lol. One of the only good things I can say about him is that he read my test results correctly. Gold star for him! I was referred by my GP to go here. I wish I had read the Google reviews on this guy - at least I would have had a heads up on what was to come.

In January 2020, I went on a crazy medical journey. The path went from a visit to Dunedin Mease ER…read morethen colonoscopy then gallbladder removal then finally to Dr Speigel. I needed answers as to why I lost 40lbs of muscle and could not move my left leg! I was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis and Neuropathy. I was assigned Physical Therapy in the same location. I'm in my 3rd month of PT, have gained back10lbs, and went from walker to crutches to cane. Ican walk but need to get my balance back. Dr Speigel gave me a definitive plan and it's working! This should be my final month in PT. My Therapists, Michael and Tim are outstanding! As a Triathlete, I highly recommend them! I'm so thankful I came to Neurological Solutions!
