On my very first day, a male student called me a "fat bitch." The overall culture felt entitled and hypocritical--many people here call themselves "Christians," but their behavior doesn't reflect those values. As someone who values faith deeply, I expected more respect and compassion. Instead, I found students who lacked kindness and basic decency. I believe school should be a place where students can freely share their identity and personal beliefs without fear of ridicule. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at Aquinas. I ultimately left and returned to my home public school, and I would never recommend Aquinas to anyone. In my heart, I do believe that sometimes God places people in difficult environments to remind them to lean on Him. Maybe this school is meant for those who don't know Him and need to seek Him out. But for students who already have faith, Aquinas does not provide anything more. A public school or a different private school would be a much better option. Also, I couldn't help but notice they don't have reviews up on Google, which is concerning.

I saw a vast difference in my child once he started at soar - he became a much more outgoing child and his grades skyrocketed. My youngest has been at soar since kindergarten and is now in 8th grade, his grades are awesome and he never wants to miss school (he's really hoping for perfect attendance this year). I have referred friends, coworkers and family to soar. My co-worker moved her daughter to soar for her 7th grade year this year and said that she has also seen such a dramatic difference in her daughter's grades as well as her attitude. I really don't feel like the board cares about our children or the staff that serve them. My son's TK classroom didn't even have a bathroom in it, but they feed their faces like money grows on trees. It took nearly an entire school year to get my son speech services. Field trips are almost nonexistent but they can travel and spend money so stupidly. Teachers get away with treating our kids so badly. There's a rule that if you want to celebrate your child's birthday at school, you have to purchase cupcakes from the nutrition services department, but then they have our kids selling junk food, buying junk food for fundraisers and their lunches only meet minimal nutrition standards. I really feel they are doing it to profit off of parents wanting to celebrate their childrens' birthdays at school. Speech therapists are underpaid and the unions are definitely doing more for the board than the staff they take money from every month. Everything is in place to serve the board. It's really the most corrupt district I have ever come across. If you are supposed to send your child here, I strongly suggest you consider charter schools or an inter district transfer.

Who somehow got Chaffey listed on a 'Top 10 public swimming pools near Rancho Cucamonga' if Chaffey seems not to have gone back to offering their pool to the public like they used to back when the giant pool was actual two giant-ish pools. I think you paid a couple dollars or something and got to use it until you tired out from it. It was great. Now I can't find anywhere with straight forward public pay-for swimming, and it doesn't help that the lists are full of places that have no reason to be on such a list, unless the goal is a devious one meant to screw with the heads of people like me. I have neighbors with pools, but I honestly don't like the idea of using anyone's pool that I'm neighbors with. Just don't feel comfortable with it, and I could try to explain why, but it's a personal thing that makes sense to me, and perhaps might or might not to you. It's too bad Chaffey probably underutilizes their pool now. How much pool action could they possibly have in an official capacity? Like 10% of the pool at most? That's such a waste.
