Chaffey High School's Gardiner W Spring Auditorium

"I'm going to see a high school play this Friday night." Indeed, every person that heard my Friday night plans produced a quizzical look that quickly became a predictable reaction. A high school play? Interestingly enough, I'm not even an alumnus of this high school. However, this is no ordinary high school production. This is a Chaffey High School production led by director David Masterson. And these guys are good. Real good. This season, the Chaffey Theatre Company presented Monty Python's Spamalot, based on the motion picture "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." There is no better example of how dark, satirical, and quirky British humor can be than a Monty Python sketch. The proverbial gauntlet was laid before the young production company on whether they could pull this play off. I come before you and vouch to the outstanding job this high school did in providing a very enjoyable production. The play did not skimp on any of the classic quips, inneundos, and non sequiturs that are often seen in a Monty Python comedy sketch. For a high school production, it bordered on astonishing at times, but was hilarious from exposition to curtain call. There is an important caveat to this review: the disappointing box office numbers. Mr. Masterson admitted prior to the start of the show that this was the lowest grossing production in the history of the Chaffey Theatre Company. For a quality production with talented high school students (along with a few young and mature talent), this is unacceptable. After seeing Spamalot, it was intuitively obvious that several of the actors in this production have talent and an effervescent passion for theater. Family members, friends, professors, even the school board were all in attendance Friday to support the often ignored high school performance arts. But what of the community? Where are the former alumni coming out in full force? Chaffey High School typically has a fall and spring production. To each of you that missed on the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic production at $12 per seat ($14 at the door), your chance will come in Spring 2014. Bring yourself and a loved one, you will most assuredly have a great time.

Booked tickets for Straight from Las Vegas: The Rat Pack. Wonderful show. This not an impersonator show. This was pure 1960s show and reminded be of the b& w shows of the past. If you Love Madmen, you'll love the vibe. I truly felt as if I was in Vegas enjoying the slightly naughty banter of the Rat Pack gang. Not to be missed!

The football field is in great condition, seating is comfortable and offers a great view, food offered in the snack bar was excellent and the breeze one feels here on a hot afternoon/evening is perfect to keep you cool. The ONLY negative issue was the restroom. For the men, there is only one toilet and no urinals which resulted in a long line for most of the game. Definitely a challenge if you are a big water drinker like myself but also like myself, we all dealt with it as best we could all night. Five stars for the amazing hospitality, food, seats etc.. four stars for the restroom situation

She just got on the varsity swim team and absolutely loves her school. She dreams of attending Caltech. My oldest is now 33 and met her husband at WCS - they now have three beautiful kids and lead a Godly life. My middle child started in preschool right across the way from where he graduated. Western focus' on spirituality, safety, education and the knowledge to excel in whatever your child dreams of. WCS works with parent's who really want for their kids, the best environment to thrive in. The sacrifice to have your kids attend this fantastic school will over exceed any hardship ever. I am forever grateful and if you really want the best for your kids, highly recommend WCS! I have referred several friends that had their kids attend; they got on a waiting list and were very impressed with the outcome of their kiddos. Thank you WCS for guiding my kids to be a much better version of myself. You're the best!!

My child was bullied and got no real help from teachers, staff, or the counselors when it happened. In sports, she never got a fair shot because of favoritism - certain kids were clearly favored and got the playing time and attention, while mine was pushed aside. More than once, staff took the other kids' side over hers without even hearing her out. Not exactly what I'd expect from a school that claims to run on biblical principles. Also, the emails we got from Reggie Stephens were AI generated. Cold, generic, no real answers to the actual concerns we brought up. If that's the level of effort put into communicating with parents, it tells you a lot. We paid a lot of money for this school and got basically nothing in return. No support for our kid when it mattered most. She started at her new school today and is already so much happier. The staff there is genuinely superior in every way - support, communication, they actually care. Night and day difference. Wish we'd made the switch sooner. Would not recommend Western Christian to anyone looking for real support for their kid.

I tried to teach him at home and my son had absolutely no interest - which gets into another whole analysis with learning disorders and what not.. He dropped out 6 times!!!! I explained to my son, you have to learn your ABC's and how to count to 10. He graduated! Then started kindergarten, and had a very hard time. In second grade the school recommended to transfer him to public school For free additional help (Now I believe WCS can accommodate more with disorders in kids as I believe they have an onsite program to assist better). I did send my child to a public school, and he was depressed for the entire 3 years! I worked hard during the recession and told my husband I am placing our child back at Western. And as Soon as I told our son, there was a sense of hope. He returned in sixth grade and graduated high school. Today he is an IT Tech for a mortgage company and has a heart that is open to life with non--judgment. He's trying to figure out how to make this world a better place. If anyone ever wanted to reach out and hear my story, I am willing to talk to you in person through WCS.. But he survived because I put him back at Western and he met his lifelong friends that he still relates with today as life-long friends
