I am writing this review because I have serious concerns about student safety, access to…read moreinformation, and pickup/drop-off practices at David W. Long Elementary. My concerns did not start with this school. They come from prior issues involving my daughter's daycare, including concerns I raised regarding people such as Mr. and Mrs. White, questions about who was authorized to pick up my daughter, and information my daughter later shared with me about who had been caring for or transporting her. Because of that history, I have repeatedly asked this school very basic questions: Who is authorized to pick up and drop off my child? How does the school verify that person's identity? Does the school actually document who physically receives a child at dismissal? What happens if someone who is not listed in Aeries arrives to pick up a child? And if another adult is authorized on a one-time basis, where is that documented? I have still not received clear, direct answers to those questions. I have also raised concerns after my daughter shared information with me suggesting that she may have been spending time unsupervised with an adult male who is not her parent. I am not stating that the school caused that situation or that I know exactly what occurred. I am saying that when a parent raises that kind of concern, the school should be able to clearly explain who picked the child up, whether that person was authorized, and what safeguards were used. Instead, I have had to repeatedly ask for basic access to my daughter's information. I had to ask the front office multiple times for information and access to the school system. I was then pushed toward meetings and additional conversations when what I wanted were straightforward written answers about my child. My biggest concern is that I have not been shown a reliable sign-in/sign-out process, electronic release record, or other system that clearly identifies who actually drops off and picks up young children during regular arrival and dismissal. If the school has such a system, I have repeatedly asked them to explain it. If they do not, that is something parents deserve to know. Parents should not have to fight for basic information about who is receiving their child from school. A school should be able to answer, clearly and immediately, how a child was released, who received that child, and what authorization was relied upon. I have now filed formal complaints because my concerns remain unresolved. This is not about creating conflict with the school. It is about a parent asking very basic questions regarding the safety and whereabouts of her child and expecting direct answers. Until the school can clearly explain its pickup, drop-off, release, documentation, and parent-access procedures, I remain deeply concerned about whether the current practices provide enough accountability to protect children it needs to be less than 2500 characters

Hi, my name is Sarah. I come from a Russian Jewish background and I am also Coptic Orthodox. I've…read morespent most of my life in public schools, but I wanted to share my experience at Aquinas High School. If I'm being completely honest, it was terrible. On my very first day, a male student called me a "fat bitch." The overall culture felt entitled and hypocritical--many people here call themselves "Christians," but their behavior doesn't reflect those values. As someone who values faith deeply, I expected more respect and compassion. Instead, I found students who lacked kindness and basic decency. I believe school should be a place where students can freely share their identity and personal beliefs without fear of ridicule. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at Aquinas. I ultimately left and returned to my home public school, and I would never recommend Aquinas to anyone. In my heart, I do believe that sometimes God places people in difficult environments to remind them to lean on Him. Maybe this school is meant for those who don't know Him and need to seek Him out. But for students who already have faith, Aquinas does not provide anything more. A public school or a different private school would be a much better option. Also, I couldn't help but notice they don't have reviews up on Google, which is concerning.

I will keep this short and sweet, i recently moved my son to that school thinking it would be OK. I was wrong, my boy went there for a day and i put him back at his old school. i couldn't bare to leave him there. The classrooms were a mess!!!!! the freakin teacher was to lazy to clean his own floor!!! Then my son came home saying Dad!! those kids were terrible, they don't listen, they got put in the corner, then they didn't listen in the corner!!!! and to top it off, the child was screaming "I don't care about school"!!!. When i asked him if he wanted to go back he said PLEASE!!!!!. That school is seriously 6 months behind academically. I asked the teacher what secnd grade was doing for math and he told me shapes!!!!, that being said my son is very happy back at D.W. Long in the Etiwanda School District.

Who somehow got Chaffey listed on a 'Top 10 public swimming pools near Rancho Cucamonga' if Chaffey seems not to have gone back to offering their pool to the public like they used to back when the giant pool was actual two giant-ish pools. I think you paid a couple dollars or something and got to use it until you tired out from it. It was great. Now I can't find anywhere with straight forward public pay-for swimming, and it doesn't help that the lists are full of places that have no reason to be on such a list, unless the goal is a devious one meant to screw with the heads of people like me. I have neighbors with pools, but I honestly don't like the idea of using anyone's pool that I'm neighbors with. Just don't feel comfortable with it, and I could try to explain why, but it's a personal thing that makes sense to me, and perhaps might or might not to you. It's too bad Chaffey probably underutilizes their pool now. How much pool action could they possibly have in an official capacity? Like 10% of the pool at most? That's such a waste.

I'm someone who completed the Electrical Program at CET. Even though I had a great relationship…read morewith everyone at the school, I still want to give future students an honest perspective on the program. If you're looking for a program you can complete relatively quickly and you're willing to put in the time and effort to learn the trade, you can succeed here. However, from my experience, you will have to depend heavily on self-learning and help from classmates. I personally felt that the instructors in both the AM and PM classes could have been much stronger in the classroom and more hands-on in the lab. When I first entered the program, I knew absolutely nothing about the electrical trade, so most of what I learned came from putting in the time to teach myself, practice, and learn from my classmates. Another issue was materials. We would sometimes run short on electrical materials and have to wait a while for more to come in. Even when they finally arrived, the amount we were allowed to use was limited, which made it harder to get as much hands-on practice as we should have. I think future students should know is that job placement assistance was not what I expected. The school tells students that they will help with finding employment, and the website mentions "Job Placement Assistance," but in my experience, I had to do most of the job searching and applying on my own. My biggest piece of advice to future electrical students is: once you receive your ET card and OSHA 10, start applying immediately. Don't wait until graduation. Apply everywhere, email electrical companies directly, call companies, and go above and beyond to get your foot in the door. CET can give you an opportunity to enter the electrical trade, but you need to be consistent and willing to teach yourself, practice, ask questions, and actively pursue employment. Your success will depend heavily on how much effort you put into it.

Due to needing to prioritize my…read moreresponsibilities as a father, I informed the school that I needed to take a temporary leave of absence to ensure my personal obligations were properly handled before returning. The school approved a 90-day leave agreement. However, around day 82, before the agreed period ended, the school contacted me and informed me that my program was being shut down. They also stated that I would not receive my certificates and that I would still be responsible for outstanding fees and payments, despite the program being discontinued before I could complete it. I would not recommend this school. As a nonprofit organization, they often experience delays in receiving materials, sometimes taking two to three months. The staff's communication with students is unprofessional, and they do not provide meaningful assistance with job placement after completion. However, if someone is simply looking for a way to pass time, this school may be an option. Mr.Bridges
