Called the insurance company who stated that they never received any paperwork from the dermatologis/oncologist Dr. Greens office for my mothers treatment. Joey insurance guy put us on a three way call with the dr office to verify and asks what is needed so my mother can begin treatment. Dr office denied canceling the appointment and could not give a straight answer as to authorization was needed. This blew me away! This staff should be knowable or at least find someone who is. Long story short at the end of the called we we're told that someone was going to call us Monday 4/20 and make my mother another appointment. It's now Tuesday the 21st and no one has called. I was completely blindsided. If that was truly her decision, it should have been communicated directly and respectfully by the doctor, not passed off to a coordinator after the fact. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. To make matters worse, they then suggested I see another doctor by simply taking photos and having him call me, rather than offering a proper consultation. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable continuing with the practice. Overall, the experience left a very bad impression.
