I will never patronize them again. Employee at the location near King Road and Hwy 92 was incredibly rude. I walked in to order a take out order of two cheeseburgers with assorted condiments. My Dad favors getting his condiments on the side (pickles, lettuce, onions and such). When I requested that the employee pointed to the ketchup and mustard packets and said "Like that"?. I said the other condiments should be on the side. He said no we can't do that. I showed him my phone which has the 3 or 4 condiments listed and he said the same again" We don't do that". Such a tasty burger--A+! Burgers come on a bun or French bread (aka Texas Toast), grilled just so that there is a slight crunch. Beef was very flavorful, and was cooked on the other side of medium-well. Nice portion of chopped onions with the burger, also includes mayo and toms. I passed on the lettuce and mustard. Crinkle fries were good; we asked for them crispy. Even better were the onion rings, with a slightly crispy batter, served fresh out of the fryer. So good!! I like the burgers and have been going there for years but today when a customer pointed out a roach bug crawling on the counter jimmy flew off the handle and then cussed him after he left. After reading some reviews evidently the roach has been living good off the burgers since 2015 The place is filthy I think Jimmy needs to retire. 4 stars because the burgers are really good but I won't be going back because I'm grossed out now, I keep seeing the roach looking out at me from his hiding spot under the bread. read more

This place has been there a long time and they know how to make a great hamburger. You can get it with mayonnaise mustard ketchup and lettuce onions tomato and the bread is fresh! I eat here 4-5 times a month. The food is good yes! But terrible service and customer service. I just called to place a order on the way home and the 1 guy they have working said call back and hung up. Then I called again and he said he's not taking orders I said I'll be there in 5min I want to put an order in at least so I'm in line he said no and hung up again. What wonderful service to the regulars who pay your bills. They don't care about the customers hence why my bill total is now 30% more bc they raised prices and they still don't clean the place or hire more help. So what now? A solid burger for a great price. I've been eating at this Rhea's location for about fifteen years and just remembered that I should review it. After all, with all the uppity burger places now at Avalon, then people should know there are other alternatives that don't cost $20 for a burger without the fries and hand-made ketchup. Like everyone has said in their reviews; This place is no frills, no BS, and not decorated like a reclaimed lumber-lover's heaven. It's just a strip mall with **** parking and one helluva burger. News flash: this Rhea's location now takes credit cards. Gasp! I went to the ATM to grab some cash before making a stop at Rhea's after having to trek out to Roswell/Alpharetta to do a bit of shopping. Imagine my surprise when I see a sign on the cash register saying that they accept credit cards (except AMEX - sorry!). The guy working there started laughing at me when I took a picture of the sign. I've been hearing a lot about the various Rhea's locations over the past few weeks and wanted to check it out since I was in the area. My shopping companion was agreeable to partaking in a burger feast with me. We both ordered the Jimmy Rhea's special cheese burger. She got a single patty and added bacon along with a large order of fries. I got the double patty with regular fries. The burgers came out on toasted/buttered french bread goodness loaded as we ordered them. The cheeseburger was definitely worth the drive. It had great flavor and was high on the grease factor. Definitely not the healthiest thing but it hit the spot after braving the hordes of little girls at the American Girl Doll store. The fries are your average crinkle cut fries. Nothing to write home about there. But the burger is very good. And cheap. This place gets 5 stars because I was still commenting on the burger after I got home. read more

I wouldn't say that Rhea's has the best burgers that I've ever eaten, but they have the best burgers that I've had in memory. Srsly, it's nothing fancy--matter o' fact, you could call it spartan--but these burgers point and laugh at the burgers slung at highfalutin joints that charge twice as much. There is no comparison. I see that some folks ding Rhea's because the fries aren't "real" or whatever. Whatever, indeed. For frozen crinkle-cut fries, they're done just fine. I go to eat the burgers. I've only ever had chili cheese dogs (better than the V) and the Rhea's Special on Tejas Toast. I've wanted to try other items, but when you're hungry, you stick with what you know will fill the void. Fresh and crisp veggies (except for the tomatoes, which are sufficiently ripe and fresh, but not crispy), the bread is fresh, and everything that is supposed to be hot, is. The drink refill routine is strange, as the fountain drink machine is *right there*, but it seems that you need to wait for the staff to come around and refill it for you. The nice lady switched my cup for somebody else's last time because of the confusing manner in which the cups are collected and delivered. Outstanding burger value and simply outstanding burgers, period. When I am in Roswell, I always hanker for Rhea's. You should try it out, if you've never been. read more

This is hands down the best burger I've ever had. If you get the special burger (and you should) it's served on french bread, which is crispy and greasy all at the same time. The burgers are also greasy and delicious! The fries are also really good. The staff is friendly and helpful and you know you are not at a huge chain. I got my dinner to-go but forgot to ask for ketchup. It turns out I didn't have to since if you order fries you automatically get ketchup. It's amazing. I do DoorDash orders so I picked up an order from here one day. Upon entering the door, the amazing aroma of these burgers punched me in the face. I knew I had to try them out one day. I found this place on Yelp because I was working in the area. I ordered a chill cheese slaw hot dog and the philly cheese steak combo (don't judge me, I was soooo hungry). The hot dog was best thing I got. If I were to return, that's what I'd order. The philly cheese steak sandwich lacked favor and it was super greasy. I know this is diner and diner food is normally a little greasy, but the sandwich was so greasy that the bread was soggy. So, i didn't even really eat the philly. My wonderful wife and I have passed this little old strip mall dozens of times without stopping. So a Friday night urging for a good burger nearby led us to Yelp, which brought up Rheas 2. My double patty burger was served on a Texas toast bun sliced in half to make it easier to eat. The griddle cooked handmade beef patties were fresh and juicy. I love hole-in the wall anything. I just moved into the neighborhood and saw that they had great reviews so I stopped in. I called my order in advance, it wasn't ready. Apparently the main cook was out so they had a guy wearing no gloves and no apron making the sandwiches. He was making an order (not mine) and he kept wiping his hands on the dirty towel and then touching the food he was making.
