"The service could've been better. The technicians were professional and friendly, and they arrived on time. However, it was disappointing that it took four visits over two weeks to fix a leaky shutoff valve. The first technician I met spent less than 90 seconds here and was later let go. The third visit the technician couldn't properly install the shutoff valve in the water tank, causing a large, gushing leak of oily water all over my laundry and boiler room. It took me an hour to clean up the mess and I had to buy new blinds for the two windows. The fourth visit finally fixed the problem by cutting the pipe and installing a new shutoff valve. However, I was shocked to receive a second bill that was much higher than I expected. I would advise anyone who uses this company to be mindful and watch the work being completed. As a woman, I feel like I was taken advantage of in this situation. read more

tl;dr - RHD threw out my drain, blamed me for providing a high end sink & took 12 days to figure a drain system out, requiring assistance from another plumbing firm. Then threw away the evidence and provided vague responses not addressing specific mistakes their plumber obviously made. This all cost me $3600 in temporary housing & UHaul expenses as my home was otherwise complete. Detail: RHD was the plumbing vendor chosen by my builder. My builder asked me to provide a sink, so I purchased a premium Elkay model via Ferguson (build.com). I delivered it to the job site, drain included, and shortly before finish plumbing began, the measuring technician from the countertop provider even photographed the drain in the box. The RHD plumber mistakenly thought that the drain was built into the sink and decided to discard it, preferring to use their own strainer and plunger. However, the proprietary Elkay "Perfect Drain" includes more than just a strainer and plunger--it also features a discharge pipe. Consequently, the standard strainer and plunger provided by RHD were incompatible. Despite the availability of drain options online with free overnight shipping and available technical support, it took the RHD plumber 12 days to figure out the drain on this Elkay sink, which is a well-known brand with high ratings. During this time, the RHD plumber initially claimed I had purchased a used sink because the box had a Ferguson label advertising their eBay storefront, though I had a receipt proving it was new. They then alleged that the strainer and plunger, which had a First Supply label, were provided by me. Eventually, they claimed the issue arose because I chose to provide the kitchen sink, despite it being a request from the builder. The issue was resolved only after I hired Lukas from Kegonsa Plumbing to help the RHD plumber determine the correct parts to order. These are the parts listed on the sink's product page. I had already provided compatible drains, but the RHD plumber refused to consider them (4 separate models). Showing RHD's true intent, while the builder had the dumpster removed before RHD completed the finish plumbing, all the boxes and materials were removed from the job site. It seemed the RHD plumber wanted to remove any incriminating evidence. Due to RHD's nearly two-week delay in figuring out a simple kitchen sink drain, my home, which was already delayed, sat empty due to no occupancy permit as a result of the drain issue (everything else was ready). With my lease expired, I had to take my four pets and four family members to a Residence Inn for 12 days, with all my belongings in two U-Hauls parked in front of the otherwise completed house. The total cost was $3,600. RHD refused to reimburse me due to their error, so the next phase will involve a summons. Their only response read like how a middle school writer thinks should be written, boasting "We Pride Ourselves on 100% Customer Satisfaction...blah, blah, blah." If they truly prided themselves on customer satisfaction, they would be able to explain why it took 12 days to fix this issue instead of blaming me for providing a sink where multiple photos exist of it with the drain. Even if I had only provided the sink without the drain (which is not true), why did it take so long if this was supposedly my fault? On top of all of these errors, I paid almost $2K more for a hybrid electric water heater and $500 for an additional gas line in another area. RHD installed a gas water heater which cost significantly less and then used a gas line I could have used in the other area. In spite of this error & their 12 day process to figure out a drain, they will have you believe this is all because of me. The most hilarious part is that RHD requires my builder to be on-site now for any work, apparently terrified that *gasp* I'm upset that they cost me $3600 and an unimaginable amount of stress as they casually tried to fix an error entirely of their own making. read more

So I got a call late that the pilot light was out at my ex's house. When I got over to the house I quickly found out that the old water heater had corroded on the bottom and was leaking pretty heavily into the basement. Called the plumber right away. Got a lot of a suggestions to use these guys from other people in the area. Thank God I did so. Initially we were going to just put the same water heater in. After the first one was hooked up, it was not venting properly out of the chimney. Apparently the chimney in this old house is compromised :(. So he called me and explain to me what was going on not only did we install a different style that vents out the side of the house, I wasn't charge for the first day and he came back the next day to finish the job properly. I couldn't be more thankful to these guys for all the hard work they put in and their patience and diligence. Of course the new style that we put in with slightly more expensive but it could've been 100 times worse. I would recommend these guys to anyone and Craig was the tech. They are friendly and professional, but you need to stay on top of the details. Shower was installed badly, but they came back out to fix/reposition the shower. They did install the wrong shower, but it was close to the same style as our other shower. They almost installed the wrong bar faucet, but I stayed on top of it so they installed the right one. It almost seemed like an annoyance when getting them to double check the shower fixtures, but the correct ones got installed. This was just my experience. read more

We knew that our water heater was on its last leg but weren't completely prepared for what was to come when it bit the dust. We had to turn off the main water supply to the whole house due to the shutoff valves not budging, thus we had standing water in the room where it resides. Thankfully when I called RHD, they were able to come out the next day and replace it and he put in new shutoff valves where needed. The service guy was super nice and answered all of my questions! We had an issue with our well pump, so we called RHD. They came out and we were called and told we needed a new well pump. I told him I would think about it and call him back after I had someone else also look at it. I called him back and he said it was fixed, just needed primed. Great! I go to see the work and see my outside valve had been cut and capped, without me knowing. 6 weeks later we get a price gouging bill and no answer on why they cut my outside hose access. Dina the CEO emailed and said "we offer great customer service!" The people were nice, but the job was not. Trying to overcharge at $300 an hr to run new gas line 6ft and put two Hoses under new kitchen sink to connect. Still trying to negotiate final price but Business Owner is unwilling to budge. Original quote was almost $1,900 through our contractor but that was because more work was going to be done by the plumber. However my husband and I ended up doing everything except connecting new sink and running new gas line from its old spot to the new spot 6ft away. Very disappointed with service and hoping Business Owner will refine the bill to be for the services that were actually done and not what was discussed originally. read more

No way I will ever go back,I had a water filter installed, a simple water filter, I asked for an estimate and was provided 1 hour to 1.5 hours of labor.. During the call, the plumber did not seem familiar, then I caught him listening to a book on tape in my driveway. I informed the company, but no help was provided, just that they would look into it. Then a month later I receive an invoice for over 900.00 dollars... I called and questioned the invoice, noted the estimate and that their plumber was not at my home that long, nor did all of the time he spend at my home be for install... I paid them for 3 hours, noting this was twice their estimate and more than fair since they would not return my calls../ 3 months later I receive a letter that if not paid, going to collections.... so now, I have to pay an invoice for labor that was never worked or my credit is ruined. great to know that is how small business works these days to make a profit. read more
