I have to - reluctantly - call this place out as being pretty lame…read more After exploring the only antique store in town, I decided to checkout a couple of thrift stores. I went to the Riverside Thrift Shop today. Apparently, it opened only a few months ago. Being fresh and new, by all rights, they should be totally on top of their game. 1) The main problem is it's too darn small. It's little more than one small narrow room. (I think my living room at home is bigger than this store!) As a result, there isn't much inventory...mostly garage sale type stuff...not enough to pick through and find something you might like. There's a HUGE warehouse in back of this building. If THAT was part of the store and filled with stuff too, you'd really have something great. But that's not the case. 2) The dude running the shop ignored us, never smiled, never spoke, and he was completely devoid of any customer service skills whatsoever. Not cool. This definitely sealed the deal and made me not want to ever walk through the door again. There always seems to be at least one crazy person shopping at every thrift store I go to, even a super small one like Riverside. Indeed, I came across one. There was a wild eyed lady buying a dozen ceramic ducks. Despite the sparse inventory, this woman had managed to locate every duck on the premises. She had a whole flock of ducks spread out on the counter. Pretty funny. Not worth the stop. -Daddy Maxx Retro

I would be careful before going forward with an item with Patterson's. My fiancé and I went in to…read moreget a wedding band, we wanted it in platinum and were told we would have to go the custom route. In doing so they gave us a verbal estimate of how much it would cost so we could give them $150 to do a drawing and get a more accurate estimate. Before I was willing to go forward and risk my $150 they assured me it would be close to that estimate. Industry standard is a 10% change on verbal estimates. I gave them my $150 and they came back with a quote 50% higher than the number they convinced me into giving them $150. I was wanting to go through Patterson's but they gave me no good explanation on why they would go up 50% of the original estimate. They said there is nothing they could do and I would have to pay the 50% increase or loose out on that $150. This shop was very deceitful and I no longer trust them. Be cautious!

We saw Fw3 on the way somewhere and decided to make a stop, very glad we did. It was rather confusing to find the way in, one of their doors(under their sign) said entrance inside building, which there wasn't, apparently they had a store front door to the street around the other side of the building. Once inside it was a clean, professional, casual looking place. The gentleman running the store was very friendly to my wife and i, and to our boys as well. They were able to run around a little, the coins were up and safe from grabby hands. They even had cars for them to play with, always appreciated. My wife had several questions as did i, seeing as how we are just starting out with this, and he was more than happy to show us, and teach us a little. We were happy to walk out with the coins we were looking for, at a great price. He even gave my older son a hot wheels car on the house. We will be back every year!

Because Troy is a dick, I decided to write a little review of my experience here…read more Yes the hours suck No their little store is not as big as the big box store. But When the big box store doesn't have what I need, these guys do. I needed special hardware (hardware is like nuts and bolts) and these guys were the only ones in town who had it. On another occasion I was looking for a vest with a hood, these guys were the last place I went(obviously as they had what I wanted) I went to Tractor Supply, Menards, Home Depot, and Mills Fleet Farm and none of them had what I was looking for. Yes I could of ordered it online but would rather not. I purchased bibs, a winter work coat, boots(once and never again, my work gives me a slip to buy boots) fleece lined jeans. Ect. I buy a ton of stuff from these guys and if you can work through their hours, I fully recommend shopping there too.
