Picked this spot for a nice bar night with the girlies after visiting the Distillery District for the Christmas market! Upon walking in we were stunned by the beautiful decor and foliage coming from the ceiling. Absolutely gorgeous! Do note that the space is very small with limited seating so I highly recommend reserving ahead of time. Our group got the following drinks: - The First Lady: Ordered two of these to try. This was so good, fruity and a gorgeous pink colour too! 9/10 - Mojito: Our group got four! You can never go wrong with this! It was refreshing and a light taste. 9/10 - Princess Jasmine's Kiss: Loved the pistachio flavour - Mezcal Smokeshow: Very strong. My friend ordered this one but I knew bitters were not my favourite so I didn't get to try. But if this is right up your alley I am sure this would be a hit! 7/10 - Catch me in Cascais: The Grand Marnier in this really packs a punch. It has a bitter taste with the grapefruit and strawberry bitters too. But overall very delightful! 8/10 Overall, the drinks were quite strong which is great if you are looking for a proper cocktail. As for food, we ordered the following plates to share: - Scallop and blood orange crudo: This was a very interesting dish. On the side it came with these crisps made with squid ink rice cracker, which was extremely crunchy but also very oily! I think it either sat on the fryer and didn't land on a drying rack or it was the squid ink - either way not a huge deal. Together with the scallops it was still a good pairing! 7/10 - Italian fries: There was a lot of grated cheese on this, loved it. The truffle aioli was also so flavourful - exactly what I needed to accompany my drinks on a bar night! 9/10 - Shawarma platter: We got this with the whole chicken since we had a party of 5. I think this was an amazing value for $69. You get a whole chicken with flatbread, picked turnips, tzatziki, salsa, lentils, and vegetables. The chicken was very juicy and tender too! 9/10 - Grilled prawns: This was delicious and there were 5 whole prawns for all of us to each have one! The sourdough toast was very crispy as well. 8/10 - Crispy calamari: Pretty standard and an excellent starter! 7/10 I recommend going here if you are ever in the area for a lil fun! Do note the ambiance in there is very loud so I found myself shouting a bit. If you don't want to talk and just vibe that's fine too - watch the old-school commercials playing on the TV in the corner of the bar!

Simply perfect Excellent ingredients, masterfully combined in an innovative take on Mediterranean food. The falafel tacos and the mushroom tapas were my favourite and left me wanting more. Service was extremely nice. A nice Brazilian lady was our server and she really took care of us. Obrigado Mariana! The place is small which makes it feel exclusive and vip.

This a lovely spot in Corktown that matches the neighborhoods quiet and hip vibe. Staff were attentive and croquettes were delicious.

Came here after not finding anything appealing in the distillery district and loved the ambiance, service, and music! The food tasted fresh and was filling. We ordered the half shawarma platter and split it and it was more than enough for two.

Good vibes only at Reyna on King! If you are going for brunch make sure to make a reservation because they can get quite busy. However, the vibes are great, staff are friendly, and the food is pretty good! I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with braised beef and it was so delicious! Also the fruit cup , not sure where they source the fruits but it was so good. I wish they put more grapefruit in it but that's my only complaint!

Brunch: Ambiance: there is no doubt this place is aesthetically appealing & unique. Ceiling covered in greenery, vibrant furniture to match the surroundings. High table tops, bar seating and much more comfortable intimate seating. Its alot smaller than one would assume but they make best usage of the space. Overall a great vibe! Food: tried the salmon board, avacado toast and croquettes madame. The avacado wasnt ripped so that was a bit unpleasant. Otherwise everything else was fairly delicious. Paired the dishes with the greek and Italian fries, these were really thin slice of potatoes and actually were very good. I read other reviews which indicated that the food was not worth the price. I think the portions were decent. Tried a few different mocktails... nothing to rave about. Service: very attentive, the food came in a timely manner. Overall will return to try the dinner menu

What a wonderful experience! I was drawn into this restaurant because of the beautiful ceiling. They also look like they have great cocktails. They blew my mind! The staff were super friendly, knowledgable and efficient. You could tell they really had a love for food and beverage. We tried four different cocktails and they were all fabulous. My favourite was the mezcal smoke show. Soooooooo perfectly balanced. The food was also out of this world. We tried the Spanish fries with spicy chorizo and Spanish cheese. I love how thin cut their fries are and this is one of those dishes that is so good fresh from the kitchen. We tried to order things that wouldn't travel week as takeout. We also got the cauliflower croquettes. Mmm the spicy mayo was so yummy. Then we tried the lamb baklava which neither of us were expecting a lot from but again, wow! So good! There was a honey mayo and the flavours and textures were unreal. We ended with the halloumi Skewers with housemaid flatbread tomatoes and a delicious Tzatziki sauce. We can't wait to go back. I've been fantasizing about it all day.

We had the best time at Reyna! Super cute vibes and decor and the most friendly and welcoming service. Great drinks too!

I am aware that my cocktail tastes are not particularly refined, but I quite liked both drinks that I was served! When my preference had run out, I just told them what sort of taste profile I was looking for and they cooked up a "jungle bird", which I quite enjoyed. And the decor speaks for itself; it was the reason we went and it was delightful. It was cozy and small, not too loud. Great for friends or for a date.

    Smokehouse mezcal cocktail

This past week was my first trip to Toronto and Reyna was one of my favorite destinations. The ambiance and service was as top notch. The vibe was absolutely perfect. I had the prawns and a few of the smokehouse mezcal cocktails and everything was delicious. Perfect intimate destination for a date night or bar socializing. I will definitely be back!

Back to why I do this. I'm endlessly curious about food, people, and the magic that happens when great meals meet good music. Friendships just seem to evolve naturally around a table. And thank you, E, for another incredible photo -- your choices are always perfect. Mercado on St. Clair is a hidden gem. What was once beside my mom's flower shop downtown has now found a home in a slightly more industrial setting on Caledonia -- and somehow, it works perfectly. Cozy seating inside, a great covered patio outside, and that village-style European restaurant vibe you hope to stumble across. First off, the waiter was phenomenal. He walked us through the menu, explained everything perfectly, and genuinely elevated the whole experience. The menu is massive -- meat, seafood, everything you could want -- but we came for the paella. We were told it takes time because they make it the proper way. Not overly crispy, just authentic, rich, and layered with flavour. Worth every minute of the wait. To start, we had the gambas / shrimp in a rich red garlic and herb sauce plus extra toasted bread for dipping, per our waiter's recommendation. Absolute rockstar move. The other appetizer was a delicious beef stew served over crunchy rustic bread. Simple, hearty, and top notch. Now... drum roll please. This may have been the best paella I've ever had. Okay okay, maybe somewhere along the coast in Spain I've had one fresher... but this was absolutely off the charts. Zero fishy smell. Just beautiful saffron-infused rice with that perfect slight crisp, loaded with mussels, clams, octopus, calamari, shrimp, and more. Built for two people to share and completely unforgettable. A few glasses of house white later and bam - there was absolutely no chance I was going back to work. And dessert? I kept telling myself: "No dessert, Frank. No dessert." But there's a rule in life ; if you see crème brûlée on a menu, you order it. This wasn't exactly crème brûlée, but a cheesecake-inspired version of it. Two spoons, four bites, and thank you very much. Favourite meal of the year so far. Completely blown away by this place. Mercatto -- go now. Go fast.

We ordered a mix of dishes to share, and everything came out beautifully presented. The flavors felt very balanced--nothing overly heavy, just really well thought out. Our favourites were the oxtail pintxo, bravas, wagyu, churros, and flan--each of these really stood out and delivered on flavour. That said, I was especially excited for the paella, and it unfortunately fell short. I've had better paella from a food truck, and for much cheaper. Between the chicken and striploin, we preferred the chicken as it had a more cohesive flavour. The striploin was cooked closer to rare when we asked for medium rare, making it tough to eat, and the rice itself was quite bland. On a positive note, the service was lovely--attentive, warm, and accommodating throughout the night. Our server checked in often without being intrusive and made the experience feel polished and welcoming. Overall, while the ambience and service made for a great evening, the food didn't quite justify the price for me. Not sure I'd return, but still a nice spot if you're looking for a good atmosphere.

We ordered the Sea Bream Ceviche and chips, quarter Octopus and Patatas Bravas. The highlight was the ceviche. The octopus was unfortunately a little overdone, which made it tough. I would absolutely not order the patatas bravas again. The potatoes were very dry and tasted as if they had been sitting out for some time. We also sat at the bar and had a few ordered of cocktails with the food. Be aware that the bar itself slopes down towards you. With that being said, my partner put her drink down on the sloped part and it fell all over both of us, with the bartender seeing it all unfold. He was nice in providing some extra napkins to dry ourselves off, but all he had to offer was "Yup that happens a lot" as opposed to maybe offering to remake the drink which was now 2/3 empty as a result. Was a little disappointed at that service in particular, especially when you're paying upwards of $18 for a small cocktail. The atmosphere was good, however. IF I were to give it another try, I'd probably just opt for drinks and skip the food, which was a little pricier for what you're getting portion-wise and quality.
