The staff was very kind in talking me through the options and helping me decide to stick with regular polish. The results was a beautifully shaped manicure, a pedicure to match, and perfectly shaped eyebrows. The interior is nicely decorated, and this is one of those nail shops that serves beverages with a service, so I had a hot ginger tea it was absolutely exactly what I needed and delicious. My only complaint, is that I was not given the advertised Bday discount. The website says there is a 10% birthday discount that never expires. When I asked about a discount at checkout, my nail tech was unaware and very kindly went to inquire. One of her colleagues came over and input a five dollar discount, which was definitely less than 10% of my bill. Overall, the service was great, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the wait was short. She got upset, and refused to finish cutting and shaping my nails. The manager told me I need to wait for someone else to become available with no apology or attempt to make the situation right. Thankfully, Kim took over and was kind, professional, and even offered me a complimentary wax for my birthday. She's the only reason I stayed and left a tip. Upon arriving two days ago, I was met with a bit of confusion as no one could fully give me pricing upfront, but quickly ushered me to sit in a chair. I was then given a book with pricing on nail services as I just wanted a basic manicure and pedicure without artificial nail addition. Since I was already seated decided on the pedicure as that was truly what I needed. Again, I was continuously offered up charges like the gel polish despite stating I just wanted a basic manicure due to the damage received from previous gel applications. The attendant was not happy at my adamant desire for the basic pedicure, and felt that she was very rough with my feet. I did explain to the lady who would've done my manicure that I just wanted upfront pricing and basic services at this point. Overall, the pedicure process was decent although I don't believe I received all the bullet points listed under the basic manicure like the massage. The polish color options were plentiful (see swatches), and believe it's the same polish that is used in a gel process. I was told that I'd have to sit for about 15 minutes due to the glitter in the polish I selected and not getting the gel instant dry. Had no problem sitting as it was the end of my day. My problem was that the attendant just left and I did hear her mentioning that she was going home to someone else. Waited for her to return and say something to me (I'm done , thank you, goodbye...something!) as well as receive the tip I had for her. That did not happen, and had to search for my shoes before I left as they were wedged in a corner behind a stool. Will continue to search for a local nail spot, or be more diligent in booking in advance for places like IWI Fresh. Sadly, I did notice imperfections after leaving, and also the next day.
