A technician performed retinal imaging and a vision test and told me there were no changes from my previous visit, when I had been examined by a reputable retina specialist who no longer works at this practice. I was not examined by the physician, Dr. Benjamin, who was on site that day. Afterward, I obtained my medical record and found multiple diagnoses that are incorrect and would require an eye examination to diagnose. The chart also documented symptoms and conditions that I did not have. What alarmed me most was that I was provided with a tear duct scan that did not belong to me. The scan was timestamped after I had already left the office, and the patient's name appeared to be handwritten rather than printed by the imaging system. This raised serious concerns for me about the practice's recordkeeping, patient privacy, and the accuracy of my own medical record. The practice also refuses to produce the native imaging with patient PII embedded in the images.

My review comes 10 years after my LASIK Eye Surgery with Dr Rabinowitz…read more I was convinced by the doctor to have a "Blended" LASIK eye correction surgery. My left was was to be nearsighted and my right eye was to be farsighted. The doctor said in 3 months, my brain will compensate and it would allow me to see near and far without glasses. Terrible, and I repeat TERRIBLE mistake on my part! I cannot emphasize enough that had I been told that I'd loose my depth perception in the dark while driving at night, I would have never agreed to a Blended LASIK Eye Correction. I worked nights, I drove to and from work at night. Immediately after surgery, I could only see stars and halos on every single signal light and/or street light. I could not see through the darkness. When you cannot see a street curb, or people crossing the street in the dark, or you can't see much of anything through darkness, you're pretty effed up! I was told to come back in for another LASIK Surgery. I had it done to both eyes again. I could not have been more disappointed, there was no change in my eye sight. Now you have to realize, I've spent 5k in cash for these surgeries with crappy results. I was told I could have a third LASIK treatment, but, I risk the possibility of blindness in one or both eyes. I'm not stupid, I declined a third surgery. I was done. After one month I was back at my Optometrist ordering new eye glasses. Are you kidding me? After spending $5000, I have to spend $350 on a new set of prescription eye glasses so I can get my depth perception back while driving at night. I must have been completely clueless 10 years ago to spend so much money on eye surgery to get nothing successful back in return. 10 years later I still wear prescription eye glasses to this day. I really do not get any time in my life that I can be free and shed my eye glasses. I need them for just about everything I do. That's not what I spent 5k on, just to keep wearing glasses day after day. Think twice before dropping your hard earned money here. And definitely think hard before being talked into going Blended. This was the worst decision I've ever made with regards to my body and my health. My LASIK Eye Surgery was not worth if it was free with what I've been through. Read the fine print!! I know, I initialed about 10 sheets of paper which contained all of the risks that could become a serious issue. But I'm like most people, I just initialed everything they gave me to sign and was just too excited to get my eyes corrected. Well that rush to judgment cost me better eye sight. I will suffer with my eye sight for the rest of my life. So take my advice and think hard about Blended eye sight and really read the fine print. They are always hiding something in there and it my own fault I missed it and did not take the time to really read and comprehend it. Had I done so, I would have NEVER been talked into Blended by Dr Rabinowitz.

Dr. Rabinowitz spent time to answer my questions and provided me with some important information and appeared thorough. After leaving his office, I fully considered him as the surgeon I would choose for PRK and was not going to look any further. However.... The next day my left eye was irritated (slightly painful when I blinked). I wondered if it was due to the tests they did during my consultation and figured it would probably go away. The next day it persisted and I started getting some of the same mild symptoms in my right eye. I realized that I had gotten an eye infection. There were several tests that they did at my consultation that may have led to this eye infection. They did a dry eye test, in which they inserted tissue into my eye and maybe the hands of the person who did it weren't clean. Dr. Rabinowitz also dilated my eyes using a eye dropper which touched my eyeball and I'm not sure whether these drops were reused from patient to patient, but it wasn't that small of a dropper and I didn't see him throw it away... Regardless of how it happened, I personally would not choose a clinic to perform surgery on me that has given me an eye infection. The last thing I would want is to get an infection post-surgery due to uncleanliness. Maybe there is more care during the surgery, but I'm just not going to chance it. On a side note, after my consultation I wanted asked the clinic if they would send my results to a eye surgeon I saw in Canada 10 years ago who told me I wasn't a candidate at the time. Before going through with surgery I wanted to get their opinion on whether I'd be a candidate now with the changes in technology. However the clinic told me they wouldn't give me the information or send it to the other clinic unless I paid $200. Not sure why they would charge me for something they already have and since it's my information.

I had cataract surgery in with Dr. Devgan last month and I can now add my 5-star review to his many…read moreother glowing reviews. I have a lazy eye (amblyopia) which means I only have one good eye. I was apprehensive about doing the surgery so I did many hours of research and had consultations with other highly reputable surgeons. But I found that none of them came close to Dr. Devgan in terms in knowledge and experience. After all, he is The Cataract Coach and has performed over 40,000 surgeries, including many for other ophthalmologists. Plus he spent a great deal of time during my consultation reviewing my images taken in his office, discussing lens options, explaining the surgery process, and patiently answering my many questions. Dr. Devgan loves what he does and his passion is evident when you meet with him. Additionally, everyone on his staff is very pleasant and professional. And Dr. Devgan gives his patients his email and cell number so we can contact him with any questions. I texted him on three occasions and he responded immediately! And in each case, he gave me very thorough answers to my questions. It was very comforting to know that he was always just a text away. I don't know of any other doctor who is so available to their patients. Dr Devgan recommended the Alcon Vivity in both eyes for me and my surgeries went well with no issues. They were both quick and painless and everything went smoothly at the Surgical Center. He came over and talked to me before I went into the operating room which I appreciated. I am very happy with the results. I requested the focus be set at near/intermediate, and I was OK wearing glasses for distance. I use a mild reader for fine print, my intermediate is perfect, and my distance is better than I expected. I can drive in the daytime without glasses, so I just I need them for driving at night. And there is very minimal halos and glare at night; much less than before surgery. I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Devgan as my surgeon. A friend found Dr. Yeroushalmi, and I could not be more grateful. He was intelligent, kind, patient, and very reassuring. He ran a full set of tests and explained what each one was and why he was doing it. He put me at ease and was not at all put out about coming into the office on a Sunday. I felt heard and well taken care of. The friend who was with me was so impressed that he made an appointment on the spot. On top of all that, the price was very reasonable. I couldn't recommend him more highly.
