Outstanding Real Estate Agents!…read more I had the pleasure of working with Dan (and briefly with Steven for a showing when Dan was out of town) for my recent house purchase in San Francisco, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Dan's deep knowledge of the SF real estate market is truly impressive. He provided invaluable insights into pricing and market trends, and possible improvements and associated costs for houses that I was interested in buying, which helped me make informed decisions. Steven is also amazing. He drew my attention to a crooked kitchen isle in the house that he was showing me. Dan and Steven are both very honest and have their clients' best interest at heart. They ask the right questions and observe your reactions in house showings such that they quickly understand what you are exactly looking for. That is how Dan found my dream home for me in a short period of time! Dan is incredibly kind, patient, and friendly. He consistently went above and beyond, working long hours and providing comparison reports, disclosures, and offers, even late into the night. His dedication and responsiveness made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Dan also has a great network of professionals like mortgage brokers, engineers, and movers that one may need. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, and personable real estate agent in San Francisco, look no further than Dan and Steven. Thank you for your exceptional support and friendship!

Jeanne Zimmerman represented the owner of our condo. Contrary to the other reviews here by tenants,…read morewe had a pretty reasonable set of interactions with her - both when we moved in, where she was prompt in communicating between us and the owner, and when we decided to move out where she was responsible for letting the unit again. We had a bit of disagreement with the owner, who was very upset about some marks we had left on the countertop and was trying to deduct an addition several hundred dollars to replace it. Jeanne stepped in, found a cleaner who could take care of it for $50 or so, and that was that. We're appreciative to Jeanne for intermediating and de-escalating a small issue that could potentially have blown up into something much more annoying.

I had the extreme misfortune of doing business with Jeanne, who worked with me to rent an apartment at the 1 Federal Building. The apartment had severe maintenance issues [broken toilet, electrical issues, drier vents that hadn't been cleaned in years and had backed up lint to the top of the closet, broken fireplace, etc]. After providing the punch list of issues, Jeanne recommended that I hire maintenance people and charge back the landlord, which required many days of waiting at home for repair people to show up [this required 1 week of vacation time from work - I was a tenant, not the property manager, but she happily outsourced all the leg work to me]. After two weeks of living in the apartment, I noticed a strong chemical smell coming from the closet. In subsequent weeks, I become more and more sick, eventually ending up with full body inflammation, many symptoms and requiring a 3 month disability leave from work to recover from a chemical exposure. My mother came to visit and her eyes swelled shut and had to go to the emergency room. I moved out that day. Jeanne was aware of the chemical contamination in the apartment and that I had become severely ill living there. She did 0 follow up to see if I was okay or to see what was causing the chemical contamination. In fact she put the apartment back on the market 3 hours after I moved out, putting the next tenant in severe danger of experiencing chemical poisoning. People were showing up to see the apt literally the afternoon that I moved on. Jeanne is a sick individual and certainly not someone you would ever want to be involved with and certainly not do business with. Steer clear.

Viv has a special talent and deep knowledge of the Bay Area housing market. I cannot recommend her highly enough! I've known her for many years and have connected her with my friends in the Peninsula to trust them in their listings. I initially met her when she helped my daughter and brother look at investment properties back in 2014 and she was very patient and very energetic. Viv, was always in the back of my mind to recommend her to my family and friends. Two of them just purchased from Viv within the last year. Viv is the perfect blend of professionalism and has a genuine character. I just referred a friend last year (2019) and my friend put her house on the market in August 2020. It was sold in 4 days.!!!! I was so happy to hear that my friend was beyond ecstatic working with Viv and she exceeded any expectations she had for selling her home. Viv guided her through getting the house ready to list and was very organized in the entire process. I look forward to referring future friends and family to Viv.

I could not be happier with my experience with Domicile Properties! Stephen, Shane, Julie and Phil were an excellent team to work with - professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I literally saw and spoke with Stephen the day I closed up my home in San Francisco and was flying back East to where I had moved. The team made practical recommendations on upgrades, freshening up the house and property which I had done under their supervision. It was well worth the expense, and it enhanced the value of my property and the final sales price. The team kept me informed all along the way. Their responsiveness added an extra layer of reassurance, as they promptly addressed any questions or concerns that arose. On a scale of one to ten I give them a 15!

Janna Luce, of Cresa, guided my agency's search for an affordable, fully-accessible, long-term home…read morein San Francisco just as our current lease was coming to an end. Undaunted by our short timeline and multiple needs, Janna worked above and beyond my wildest dreams to identify spaces that would satisfy our specific needs and quickly set about arranging tours of various sites. When she learned that a site we had wanted very badly several months before had fallen through our hands, Janna got to work reaching out to the landlord in an effort to revisit it and and reach a mutually beneficial arrangement. We had given up hope regarding the much-sought-after first floor site on Howard street but Janna worked tirelessly, not just as a realtor, but as a relationship-builder. At a time of crisis, when I believed we would have to settle for any space we could afford, Janna Luce kept a clear head, and never let me give up on the idea of getting the site we really wanted. Thanks to her hard work and great effort, we have formed a strong alliance with the landlord, secured a long-term lease on prime, ground-floor, fully-accessible space at a fair price, and we are in the process of starting renovations for a move later this year. I cannot speak highly enough of Janna Luce's dedication, professionalism, the care she displayed for our needs, and her broad range of skills. An organization searching for real estate could not find themselves in better or more capable hands.

These people are shady. Avoid them at all costs…read more We just bought a house listed by Mary Neuberger of Wells & Bennett. Turns out one of the shower pans was leaking from the get go after we moved in. Wasn't caught by inspectors because they don't water test shower pans above finished ceilings unless there's staining . . . coincidently enough the room under the leaking shower was painted prior to going on the market . . . staining? Nah!! Barry Bennett, the broker and one of the owners "gets involved" and the only thing that comes of it is the absurd statement that this leak must have happened after the close of escrow and the first shower we took . . . 1 day. If you could see the severity of the leak (water is pouring, not dripping out), I think it would be obvious to anyone that this is not something that just started now. Not to mention, prior to closing, we saw that the sellers and listing agents had a Pest Inspection where they deliberately asked the inspectors to not look at an outer stairway that has obvious rot and damage and needs to be replaced. Hoping a buyer wouldn't notice this multi-thousand dollar repair need? Luckily we did our own Pest Inspection. That plus how they are handling the shower issue puts their entire company's ethics in question, IMO. I know they don't want to admit wrongdoing, but just split the costs or something and put it behind. Now we have to go hire an attorney. Who knew replacing a shower was so expensive?!? Bleh!

The work included window boxes installed on the second floor, 9 yards of mulch delivered and installed on a backyard slope, plants, and planterboxes. Although Mr. Bennett assures me most Wells contractors are paid within three days, Mr. Hammond made me wait 3 weeks and allowed his client to pay less than the billed amount. This white man's first language is mansplain. He treated Latino workers like nameless tools. He treated this woman contractor like someone he would like a lot better if she smiled more. Although I believe this is his last job, I question the integrity of any company that does not honor workers and make sure they are treated fairly.
