Our house had ducts already installed, though the distribution of air was not balanced - some rooms got uncomfortably warm than others. - How was your experience with the initial inspection process? Amongst many other contractors, I found Maddie from Premier Eco Builders very genuine and honest about what needs to be done. He also did not try to oversell me things just to increase the quote. I never felt the push to add something I did not want. Maddie also helped address the specific problems that I was encountering with the existing system. - How did the team handle scheduling? The team started the work on time. The proposed timeline was 2 days of work. However, due to unforseen problems in the old system, it took a day longer. Maddie's team could have cut corners and sacrificed quality to still finish the job in 2 days. But they chose to do quality work. They even fixed issues that were not part of the contract to maintain the quality of the final system. - How did everything turn out after the installation? The system worked well. However, there were still some adjustments to be made. Maddie made sure to fix these issues as well over the coming weeks. His team came over on a weekend to fix all issues and answer all final questions of no charge. He also had a newer team member with him whom he was training, and I was equally impressed by the patience and care he showed in teaching him. It was critical that all the plans and calculations were put together correctly, so I would be able to pull the permit over the counter and not have the building department have to take it in for their in-house review. If the plan checker found any holes or something incorrect, they would reject my submission. I would then have to resubmit it, which may take 4 to 5 weeks. Nick did all the calculations and found the best way to meet the compliance. I am happy to say, I was able to pull the permit right over the counter and we saved an enormous amount of time on our schedule. Nick did a great job and I would highly recommend him.

The short: I recommend Attic Elite!…read more I recently hired Attic Elite through Yelp for a complete attic refresh, including removing the old insulation, sealing openings, and installing new Owens Corning PINK R-38 fiberglass insulation. Overall, I'm very happy with the results! Two representatives started by inspecting my attic. I spoke primarily with Jordan, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest about its condition and what needed to be done. We worked out a reasonable deal and scheduled the work. On installation day, Pablo and his crew arrived and got straight to work. They're a tight-knit group of hardworking professionals who clearly know their craft. And they were LOUD! :) Between the industrial vacuuming and their lively banter, at times it sounded like someone was screaming in pain! Then I'd hear everyone laughing and realize they were having a great time working together. They thoroughly removed the old insulation, sealed the openings they discovered, and photographed their work before installing the new Owens Corning insulation. They then photographed the finished installation. Attic Elite provided over 60 photos documenting the entire process! They also took great care to protect my computer desk and equipment in the room where they were working. One particularly impressive moment came when it started raining. The entire crew immediately sprang into action, moved insulation to a dry location, and covered the remaining materials with plastic. Excellent teamwork and a clear understanding of how important it is to keep fiberglass insulation dry! They also took great care with the extensive cabling running throughout my attic, including numerous Internet cables. Rather than simply working around them, they carefully organized and routed the cables. I really appreciated that extra attention to detail! There were a couple of minor hiccups: a communication issue when I asked them to move their truck away from my driveway, which didn't happen, and a tiny amount of debris left behind during cleanup. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. At the end of the job, Pablo personally walked me through the work, showed me the photos, and patiently allowed me to inspect everything. I never felt rushed or pressured to sign off. Attic Elite later sent me the entire photo collection without my even having to ask. I really appreciated that transparency!
