Their current teaching team gives every dancer the opportunity to grow in their craft regardless of their age or level of expertise, all within a respectful and caring environment. Dancers also have the opportunity to participate in community outreach performances and ballet productions which bring the beauty of ballet to many different audiences in the Seattle/Eastside area. My daughters have flourished and their love of ballet has grown under the training of Ms. Erin, Ms. Genna. Ms. Elisa and Ms. Lori. Teachers like Ms. Tomoko also make ballet class fun for little ones! If you are looking for a dance studio that cares about each dancer's heart as much as they care about their technique and where dancers thrive as they grow into confident artists, then this is the place for you!

Aria is a great, great place for dancing - both to learn and for social dances. I am part of Swing Kids at UW, and one of the current instructors here (Ben) manages the place. I come here for swing dancing, and the price ($2 discount for UW students, yay!), the music (live bands!), the crowd is all on point. Details I love: the bathrooms are spacious and single-use only, which is a relief. As someone who positively hates using a cubicle with huge gaps at the door hinge, this is great. They have little lockers to store your belongings, and also a coat rack. The designers of this place clearly put a lot of thought into planning it! I also like the occasional free cake when it's someone's birthday :) Thanks a lot for all the fun music and dance.

At PNB it takes a lot of work and effort but is is worth it and necessary for building a strong dancer. The teachers here are kind but not afraid to tell you if you are doing something wrong and how to improve. PNB also cares for the mental and physical health of there dancers. Starting in level 6 they start having mental and nutritional seminars once every month. PNB will give students chances to dance on stage and experience what it is like to be dancing in front of a crowd with there productions such as The Nutcracker, Coppélia, A Midsummer Nights Dream and many more. I HIGHLY recommend this company if you love to dance.

The instructor for this kpop dance class, Emily, was amazing and fun to learn from! She spoke both Mandarin and English and was able to teach in either languages. The class was super fun and we had a great time. The only room for improvement was that I wished they had cubbies for storing our belongings. We had to put our jackets and purses on the floor. The 3 rooms were right next to each other, and we could hear music from other rooms during the class. But it was not a big deal to me as I was enjoying the class. Restrooms were shared with the building; no code needed. Parking was easy as the studio was in a plaza, and there was a parking lot. There were also restaurants in the same plaza that we could go to after the class.

We joined this school in 2018 after trying several other studios, which all got a thumbs down from my discerning daughter, who was very clear that she didn't want to participate in dance recitals with little girls in too much makeup and explosions of glitter, bows, and over-bedazzled costumes (just not her cup of tea). She wanted a serious, yet fun studio, and KKSD is it. From day one this has been my daughter's happy place. She has made great dance friends, and has felt well supported in her passion for learning many types of dance. The families here are wonderful. Miss Karina is a serious instructor, who doesn't over-praise during class, but is also very loving and encouraging. Her twice a year dance performances at Meydenbauer Center are very well choreographed and professional. The costumes are beautiful, elegant and tasteful. The performers look fantastic, yet age appropriate, and get wonderful stage experience to build performance confidence naturally. We will continue to be part of this studio as long as possible, and in the new year I will start taking adult ballet as well. I'm excited to start. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STUDIO!
