I almost never do anything for myself, I really haven't been in a salon since I was a child. I also never really learned how to take care of my curl pattern, and hid behind buns and braids all my life because I felt so ugly. I was also so very worried to lose any length because my late mother was so very attached to my long hair. But Lexi made me feel so heard, listened to, cared for and so very pretty. She made sure I could see every snip and talked me through it so I didn't feel as guilty. She didn't make me feel stupid at all for not knowing how to take care of my texture, she explained it so kindly and patiently. I know it's not easy to face someone who wasn't happy with their experience but she tried multiple times to reach me and when she did, she was so genuine and I respected her for her apology so much that I scheduled a new set of services. Courtney clearly took to heart everything I'd offered as feedback in my first review, and during my microdermaplaning, lash lift, and lash tint (yes, an actual tint this time) she made sure that my services were impeccable. She gave me a big hug when I got there and was so appreciative of me coming back in. And I'm so happy with my lashes and my skin, I look ten years younger in just a couple of hours. I knew what I wanted but still like to do just a little bit of looking around. I must have appeared to be on a mission, only one sales associate approached me. She kindly asked if I needed help, and I told her I had already found what I wanted, and then she left me to look on my own. I like that. It turned out to be a fairly quick visit to one of my favorite stores. My fiancée was happy about that. If you shop here, you must sign up for the Ulta Club Card! I also received my birthday "gifts" when I checked out, I'm sure it changes all the time but I was so excited to receive a full size Urban Decay eye shadow and $10 off my purchase!! The cashier even talked to me about my bday plans and seemed genuinely happy and excited for me.
