Typically, I come for a wax and always feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the process. During a recent visit, I decided to ask about facials (I've never had one before). Laurie (the owner) explained several to me that would be beneficial for my skin concerns. I booked an appointment for the four layer mask facial and nervously went to my appointment. After she brought me down to the room where the procedure was to be performed, she explained the series of events to be expected. Throughout her explanation she asked if I had any questions. She was very welcoming and comforting and provided a fantastic explanation for what was to be expected. After undressing and getting comfortable on the table she came in and began my facial. It was an AMAZING experience and I highly recommend it to everyone! The aromas of the product and the room were relaxing; the subtle music in the background helped me to unwind. I felt as though I was being transported to another place. Her expertise with facials made each phase feel like second nature for her hands. I am beyond words by how impressed I am from this experience. As I mentioned, this was my first facial every and so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I will definitely be setting the bar high for my future facials. I walked out of my appointment feeling extremely relaxed and my face feels softer than a baby's bottom. Honestly, I'm not sure when my face has ever felt this great! I will be back for more!

Harmony does an amazing job of meeting your needs and making you feel welcome and rested no matter what service you're there for. Their services are plenty. They have everything from massages to manicures to body scrubs and sauna sessions. This spa does lean more towards a feminine atmosphere than a unisex one, but they serve both men and women. My husband goes for massages with me occasionally, and never regrets the decision. We both enjoy the experience.

The owner has done a really nice job trying to make this place sophisticated and special. The first time I went here in 2009 after it first opened, she told me she was renovating the place one area at a time as she can afford it. The first time I visited there was a waiting lounge, mani/pedi room, a tanning room, salon area, massage room and facial room. When I visited this summer there is a new space for the tanning bed and a separate room for the check in/payment counter. There's also a chiropractor working in the front room where the tanning bed used to be. I know its just going to get better as the years go by. One of my favorite parts about this spa is that my family's hair-dresser-Lori now works here. My family (including my dad) have been going to her for at least 15 years now, back when she worked at another salon in town. If you haven't looked by now--look to the left--I live in Manchester, CT. My parents live at Chase Lake 3-4 months out of the year so I schedule my hair appointments around visiting during the warmer months. Getting our hair done here is just more affordable than anything back home. And its nice to work with regular people, not the "hair snobs" I've dealt with at home before. I also just really like the waiting room. There's something about that long fluffy brown carpet...its not the most beautiful thing in the world but its really soft and comfortable, lol. It's a full service salon (minus nails) with about 8 hair stations when you first walk in, and a separate aesthetics area tucked away in the back. It is right on public square, so parking is a pain on the street, but I was told that there's also a parking lot tucked behind it that is much easier to deal with. I only knocked a star off because of the prices -- although they are the best prices in the area for Brazilians ($70 initially, then $60 from then on with recurring appointments). I've seen Hilary twice now, and she makes the process as quick and painless as possible. Plus she's fun to chat with, and knows a lot about the area -- which for me not being a local is helpful :) I've been to a couple other places for waxing so far, and they've either been outrageously priced and take forever, or the salons were very out of the way and inconvenient because they only took cash. So, I will definitely continue to see Hilary for her services as long as I'm in the area, and you should too!

Fast forward a short time - I was subject to an unfortunate experience at another salon in the area, reached out for help from others, and was referred to Roxanne. I messaged her in dire need of a color correction as I am due with a baby anytime. Roxanne responded quickly and was able to get me in almost immediately. I arrived at the salon, greeted by Roxanne and Jessica, so nervous but hopeful for a transformation that left me feeling like myself rather than a calico cat. After less than an hour and a half in Roxanne's chair, I was brought to tears! Roxanne evened out the spots I had, toned my hair to a more desirable color, and made my roots as natural as possible. She cut off damaged ends, corrected broken layers, and straightened my hair where I could see the difference. In addition, she recommended products and told me how to use the products to protect the integrity of my hair. The biggest takeaway for me - Roxanne listened. She heard my concerns and put her best effort forward to make sure that I walked out feeling brand new. Throughout my time, Roxanne and Jessica engaged with me.
