I was really hoping I did not have to, because the treatments are effective, staff is in general friendly and try to help...BUT: It is so frustrating!! When we buy the treatments and PAY ALL UPFRONT they offer to schedule appointments in the future an one thinks that it is going to be a smooth process. The reality is different. Having an appointment scheduled does not mean anything. This past week I called the Burlingame office scheduled for 8/22, the next day I got a message informing that the appointment changed to another time (still the same day), I called them again to understand why, the agent offered to return to the original time scheduled. Got a phone call confirming the appointment - which I confirmed. For my surprise, the next day I got the long message (picture here) cancelling the appointment. I am seriously considering requesting a full refund of the thousands of dollars I paid upfront for the treatment. Here is my request to this company: be serious about your operations and customer satisfaction strategy. Do something please, to deliver what customers like myself paid upfront for.

My nurse mentioned I had to wait 4 WEEKS to come in, which is ridiculous considering their machines are much less aggressive than LaserAway. I understand that certain products may require a waiting period before laser treatment, but my issue is that this information was not clearly communicated when I booked my appointment or presented in a specific enough way online. As a result, I drove to my appointment, dealt with parking and traffic in Burlingame, and ultimately lost the appointment. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I was never asked whether I had been using hydroquinone before my underarm appointment. My underarms were treated a few weeks earlier by a different nurse, and the entire treatment took less than two minutes--absurdly rushed compared to my experience at LaserAway. This made the policy feel inconsistent and dependent on the individual nurse rather than being based on a clearly communicated, standardized guideline. SEV's website says to avoid aggressive skin and body treatments for 2-4 weeks and to use gentle skincare, including avoiding retinoids, topical acne treatments, and chemical exfoliants for 1-2 weeks. However, there was no clear, specific information stating that hydroquinone required a 4-week discontinuation period. This should be much more clearly communicated to clients before they book or arrive for an appointment. I've also previously gone to LaserAway, and their pre-treatment instructions were much more specific regarding hydroquinone. I was told there that a 3-day period was sufficient. I understand different laser systems and providers can have different safety protocols, but when a requirement is significantly different, it should be clearly disclosed ahead of time so clients aren't surprised at their appointment. Unfortunately, the front desk experience wasn't particularly welcoming either. Between the lack of clear communication, inconsistent application of the policy, and the strict 5-minute late policy--which is especially frustrating given the traffic and parking situation in Burlingame--the overall experience was disappointing. SEV seriously needs to do a better job communicating its pre-treatment requirements. If hydroquinone requires a 4-week discontinuation period, that should be stated clearly and prominently BEFORE clients book or show up for an appointment. Clients should not have to find out at the last minute after taking the time to drive there, deal with traffic and parking, and potentially lose their appointment. The inconsistent way this policy was handled during my underarm and Brazilian appointments only added to my frustration. Between the lack of clear communication, inconsistent treatment, rushed service, and unfriendly front desk experience, this was an extremely disappointing experience and not the level of service I expected.

I found Entrada a couple years ago or so, because I had a spot on my face that just would not heal…read more It had been broken out for easily over a year or more. I really liked my experiences at Entrada, it was easy to make appointments, I never had any issues, before, during, or after the visit and always appreciated the cooling gel they give as a nice extra touch. My four is mainly for my unique situation, which was that it was just one spot that took less than 10 seconds to zap. Even adding in a couple extra areas that I usually would just pluck, the entire visit would take less than 2 minutes. Which was pretty steep at around $80 each. I had about 6-8 appointments (it's been about a year or so since I completed the last one so I'm not totally sure at this point) but within about 3 months or so, I noticed everything had grown back. So unless I was willing to have consistent recurring appointments, it didn't make sense for me to continue with the service. I simply switched over to shaving vs plucking and called it a day. I will say that I'm still very pleased that I visited Entrada as the redness from the spot completely faded and it fully healed. Which was everything I could have hoped for. So for me, while it was expensive, I'm very glad I did it and would recommend Entrada for similar issues.

My first visit, the consult, they showed the works! Which was fine because I had no idea that there were so many different products and services. Before, I knew it, I had the works done on me (same day as the consult), they sold me on way more botox and Radiesse than I needed, my face had bruising and was swollen for over a week and I was in a lot of pain during and after the procedures (because I was only given a frozen water balloon ). Like I mentioned earlier, I didn't know any better, so I thought that it was how it's done and it's the price to pay for beauty, no pain, no gain. The second visit was for my first ever IPL (photofacial) for my melasma (what they sold me on during my initial consult visit). They made me go upstairs to one machine and run downstairs to a second machine because they said the lasers treats different color pigmentation (brown, red). My face burned like it was litterally on fire! The woman "nurse" who did the IPL on me burned/singed a big chunk of hair by my ear and I was smelling my hair burning during procedure but I was told not to move or say anything and she acted as if it was nothing. After the procedure, she just disappeared and I was left laying there in pain for over 45 minutes, then another person walked and acted surprised that I was still there and told me to go wash my face wtih cool water. I asked for the nurse who performed the IPL on me and they said she had gone home. I never saw or heard from that "nurse" who did the IPL on me... and again, I was just sent home with a frozen water balloon. I thought I would get a follow-up phone call from them because of the little incident I had, I wasn't going to make a big deal about it but it would have been nice if they showed some concern. After a week, I called the office because most of the hair on the side of my right ear (like sideburns) were falling off and I was worried that it wouldn't grow back; I was still very polite and nice when I called because I didn't know any better. They told me that it was common and that it happens all the time and some people like their facial hair removed and that in fact that it was one of the positive side-effects of IPLs. I was shocked to hear that and just took their word for it even though I liked to have hair on that part of my face and was just hoping no one would notice it if it never grew back. Well, the good news is I looked into a few other places and they are much better priced and I had so much, much better results! At first, when I started calling other places to inquire about an IPL photofacial, like an idiot wanting to sound smart and that I knew what I was doing this time around, I asked them if they are using two machines for red and brown pigment lasers, every other place said that their machines are NEW and it had both lasers in one machine and it also has a built-in cooling system and everything. It made sense...and ever since, I had gone to other places for an IPL and all other services similar, it has been just great, much better results, painless, and one third of the cost and my face is not on fire and in pain during or after all the procedures and the best part, no more frozen water balloons needed! If I had to endure the pain I experienced at Rev laser center, I probably would rather just live with the wrinkles and melasma for the rest of my life than ever go back there again!!! read more

I just wanted to let people know that Marissa is a wonderful esthetician. I am an esthetician myself and love getting facials at other spas by other estheticians because it's a great learning experience. Although, most of the time I walk away thinking "that's something I will NOT be doing to my clients," this time I walked away thinking, "that's exactly the way I want to treat my clients!" She was the 1st esthetician that told me I had beautiful skin! I know I don't have perfect skin and I should never step out of the house with out make-up on, but to hear that she saw something beautiful about my skin was really nice for a change. When she analyzed my skin under the mag light she started with a compliment, "you have beautiful, soft skin - no lines or wrinkles." She went on to say that most of the way my skin is was because of my heritage - the skin I was born with. Then she recommended products, and treatments that will help with dehydration, my hormonal/stress-causing breakouts, and my hyperpigmentation concerns. Another reason I really like her was that she was friendly! She treated me like a person, not just another "face" she was working on. During the peel she asked me about my life: work, my hometown, etc. It definitely wasn't too much talking by any means, just enough to make me feel like she cared. I could tell, being in the business myself, that Marissa is very knowledgeable, loves what she does, and is passionate about skincare. She will teach you how to keep your skin healthy, but at the same time make you feel good about your skin. It's not always easy for me to accept my skin the way it is (being the skin obsessed perfectionist that I am) but Marissa definitely helped! read more

I came in for a consultation for a CoolSculpting procedure on my neck. After the consul with Dr. Misle I felt comfortable moving forward with the procedure. On the day off the procedure they set me up in room and attached the machine to my face for a 45 min session. After 35 minutes the machine came off my face, I rang for help, the assistants came in and started asking me if I wanted to come back and do that same side again. How would I know if that side was completed or not and why were they asking me. After that I didn't feel comfortable moving forward with the procedure so I called them the next day to resolve. No one called back for days. I wanted my $600 deposit back and nothing to do with them. They will not give me my deposit back and dr. Misle who finally answered my call ended up hanging up on me after telling me what she thinks happened (she wasn't even there during the procedure). The worst customer experience I've ever had. They do not care about you as a patient at all. Stay away from them. Plenty of other places who actually care about their patients and customer service. read more

Many get the same EXACT consultation- the "liquid face lift" with radiesse. That is more of a sales pitch than a personal consultation but i assume most medical spas do this. I simply wanted under eye filler, the doctor wouldn't do it and boy did i regret the even more sunken, hollowed-out look across my infra-orbital ridge. I went back and the doctor had the very nice nurse give me a three minute complimentary elixis treatment to flatten(?) my filler pronounced cheekbone but unfortunately, it did NOTHING. i looked older than before with the new Radiesse in my cheekbones, years older. Boy, did i regret the cheek filler...My eyes have enormous shadows...because my cheeks are so prominent..My face is normally very thin and long. Then when returning to let the doctor at another visit, again mentioning it gave me an even more sunken appearance- i was told to get the plasma therapy under my eyes. No before and after pictures, just another grand or so potentially making me look better or worse? i wouldn't know.. read more

Thank You Dr. Misle for helping me look less drawn in the face with your Voluma filler techniques - and the proof was highly apparent to me during a recent trip to my homeland after a year of being away. My mum, brothers (yes!) and sisters were commenting on how good and healthy I looked this time round. Even my sister's husband commented on my healthy appearance so I must have been bad previously! Every other year, I would listen to the critics telling me that I looked tired and drawn in the face...too thin etc. This year, I couldn't help chuckle when I would hear the very positive remarks. My mother would say every other day..."I can't get over how good you look". I just told them that I gained weight! No one could put their finger on the filler factor. I got a Groupon gift from my sister for Botox 20Units. The staff is friendly, Dr.M is a little pushy but unfortunately that is a normal thing for now days, too many doctors not enough patients. My appointment started with smiles and ended with disappointment, then full of wonders. First of all, Dr.M is mixing multiple meds and calls it " Botox " What she's doing is called experimenting on patients. She starts with mixing sodium chloride ( salt water ) with Dysport ( Dysport is Botox equivalent which takes an effect in 3-5 days) and then finishes with a few units of Botox. There is no harm in such mixture, except for, its cheating and unethical. I actually thought that she might know something new that other doctors didn't want to tell us, but it turns out she's just cheating us to make up for the loss in Groupon deals. Long story short, Botox wore off in 24 days. read more

Run don't walk and make an appointment or a consultation with Dr. Misle! The results that I have 2 days after several injections and fillers is amazing! I keep looking in the mirror, it is like I had a face lift done in a 30 minute office visit. I have seen work done by top level plastic surgeons where the client looks like they have permanent bee stings, the swelling on the face doesn't look normal, or the lips look too bloated and fake. Dr. Misle has an artistic gift, technical brilliance and compassion to use fillers, botox etc to bring back youth and lift to the face. She does not force her aesthetic on you, she listens to what YOU want, examines your individual bone structure and muscles to determine how much filler is right for you. I have been going to Reviv for over a year now after moving from the East Coast. I have had a variety of treatments including: laser, botox, fillers and BBL (Broadband Light Laser). First, I would like to describe my results. Simply, I have had incredible results! Friends on the East Coast have told me "California must be treating you well" and new friends on the West Coast have admired my skin. It looks natural, fresh and not overworked. Dr. Misle is brilliant, her work is the best thing I have ever seen. For the past 5 years I have come in annually to see Dr. Misile and every time I am thrilled with the results: natural looking ... I just look better. Not everyone understands the sculptural variations of the human face but I find the doctor to not only be extremely competent with injections etc she is also artistically dialed in to understand how to work with her individual clients. Recently she used Restylane Lyft and Restylane silk and all my friends have been commenting about how good it looks. I have rosacea on my cheeks and chin. I heard about the new clinic and some of the newest technology that they use. I had the photo rejuvenation and the results could not have turned out better. The staff was very attentive and Dr. Misle is fabulous. Anyone who wants the newest technology and the best service need to go there. I have been to several dermatologist and this is the first place I have been that gave me results within a couple days. I went to Reviv Med Spa for Spectra Laser treatment on my freckles on Asian skin and since I started the treatments I have had 3 separate people say my skin was "glowing". Literally, unsolicited out of no where compliments from people using the exact same word. Another word used was "luminous". The Spectra in combination with a juicing regiment has totally taken my skin to another level. My skin is now envy-worthy, but I tell these women that comment on it my secret. Spectra and juicing! I came to Revive with a botox groupon, and added the Spectra Laser treatment for my hyper pigmentation on my face. the results were fantastic! dr. misel is very thorough and you can tell she cares about her patients results....which is why i plan to go back for periodic Spectra treatments (and botox here and there...she was careful never to "over do it" with the botox which was important to me). Those of you looking for an effective treatment for sunspots/hyper pigmentation/malasma, etc....PLEASE give Spectra Laser a try. i recommend you do the full 10 series treatment combined with the kojic pads. read more

I am finally getting around to writing my yelps! :) I bought a gift card for my wife when the spa first opened. She finally used it and raved about the spa all day after we got home. She fell in love with the staff and Dr.Misle and Tamara really gave her a wonderful deal during her consultaion.(thank you) The place was also very classy yet the staff made me feel so comfortable while I waited for my wife. Went on the bloomspot special and ended up with droopy eyelids/brow. This is the first time it's ever happened. I've called to see the doctor, and will go back in, but honestly, I am hesitant to go back to someone who screwed up in the first place. Will give an update. However, it would be my suggestion to look elsewhere. Update: Went back in and the doctor reviewe my before and after photos and tried to give my eyebrows a bit of a lift, but basically said, it will wear off. Gee, that's customer service. I had the most amazing experience at this Med spa!! The doctor is caring, kind, knowledgeable and incredibly skilled. The doctor saw me for a consultation and I throughly appreciated her expertise and suggestions. I followed her suggestions and am so happy with the results! What stood out most for me was the massage, the facial steaming, and the extractions, which were pretty intense. I had way more whiteheads on my nose than I expected. I did wish my esthetician talked through what they were doing, since some steps were new to me, like the zap-sounding tool, the light (?) mask where they left the room for aand the hot stone rub. I also loved the cool face mask brushed on over a net-like layer and the pressure around my temples. I would have appreciated a bit more neck-focused massage. After the facial, my hair was pretty messy and oily, and my nose was a little red. The next day, one extraction spot was still red. All of that is normal and temporary. Parking was easy, and I found a spot right in front. I also appreciated the candies by the checkout area. She even did my eyebrows, which was a really nice surprise. If you have dry skin, I would definitely recommend the oxygen facial.
