I've been seeing Dr. Misle for many years now, primarily for botox injections. I appreciate so much about how Dr. Misle operates this medspa. Dr. Misle's knowledge around procedures, along with new techniques and procedures/tools gives me so much trust in her. She's honest and practical, always very careful not to overdo injections, yet takes the time to hear you out if you want more. She also takes the time to explain what she's doing, inform about alternatives (ie. Juneau, Dysport, etc) and cost benefits like rebates. I've been meaning to share my thoughts on Reviv Med Spa for about 15 years now. My long history with this place says it all. With so many other options popping up in the area, I figured it's about time I let others know about my experiences here. I remember stumbling upon Reviv Med Spa's grand opening poster nearly 15 years ago while driving down El Camino. I was younger, with fewer concerns, but I was in desperate need of a quick laser liposuction fix after my third child. Back then, Dr. Misle used to offer this service along with some other surgical procedures with a plastic surgeon they collaborated with. So, I decided to check it out. The vibe of the office and the welcoming staff made a great impression on me. I can't recall the name of the first person I met at the front desk, but I do remember her beautiful smile and open face. That friendly atmosphere hasn't changed one bit over the years. Since that first visit, Reviv Med Spa has been my spot. I felt it was a perfect time and place for a quick fix while my husband was about to leave for a few weeks. My husband is a strong believer that women should age gracefully and is against any procedures. Needless to say, I've done a few behind his back . Often explaining an occasional bruise or a temporary side effect as an allergic reaction to something (I hope he doesn't read this post as I hate to blow my cover). I talked Dr. Misle into squeezing me in on short notice and scheduling the procedure for the day I dropped my husband off at the airport. Dr. Misle went above and beyond for me. Not only did she schedule the procedure for that day, but she even drove me home afterward and stayed with me for a few hours to make sure I was okay (the baby was with a nanny). Since then, Dr. Misle has been my go-to for addressing my aging concerns. I even took my 80-year-old dad, who is super active despite his age, to see Dr. Misle when he came to visit me from abroad a few years ago. I swear, she made him look 20 years younger. She also fixes my kids acnes. Despite my growing skepticism (becoming very judgmental with age) and the endless, repetitive questions I throw at them, the team at Reviv Med Spa has always been patient with me. Dr. Misle stays on top of all the latest gadgets and products on the market, and the spa hosts these awesome parties throughout the year to introduce clients to new services. Sure, I've checked out some other places, but I always come back to Dr. Misle. It's not just about the results; it's the trust and relationship we've built over the years. This spa has become my go-to for quick fix-me-ups. In addition to injections, my favorite services are the addictive and to-die-for facials by Hanadi and lymphatic massages by Flavia, the woman who knows how to work the body. Dr. Misle and her entire staff were so warm and welcoming! Initially I was unsure about the idea of any sort of injectables, but I wanted to see what my options were. The front desk staff was so patient when I made my appointment and assured me that once I got there I would have everything explained and could make an educated decision. I got my first treatment of botox today and I'm happy to report it didn't hurt, I was offered ice multiple times (which I said no to) and the whole process was so quick! I appreciate the extra time I was given when making my decision to get any treatment. I don't know how many people come in with zero idea like me, but they treated me like a VIP the whole way through and I'm just someone who drove past their office everyday for months and finally booked an appointment. I would caution others against a BBL at Reviv, it was underwhelming and disappointing. I had maybe a 10% reduction in brown spots after my BBL treatment. Despite being told at the initial consult that it was suitable for my skin color/type, Dr Misle later told me she used a light setting on me to prevent hyperpigmentation on Asian skin when I came for the follow up. I was not aware I would be receiving a "light treatment." This was contrary to what we initially discussed where she said a BBL was safe for my skin color. She even made a comment that she could go stronger on the next treatment, then she realized the laser setting level wasn't even documented for my first treatment. For anyone with Asian skin, I would recommend proceeding with caution here, as they are either hesitant to treat or undertreat our skin. My cousin who is the same color/skin type as me had great results with her BBL with Katrina which shows Asian can get good results from BBLs, but unfortunately Katrina no longer works there. Given Reviv's responses to other negative reviews, I'm sure they will try to find a way to spin this around. read more

Proceed with caution: botched BBL laser? My skin was severely damaged from the BBL laser treatment. I'm writing this review just shy of three weeks since my procedure and I still have dark spots where the wounds are healing. In addition to the burn marks, I was severely swollen. Almost unrecognizable for several days. I had to cancel all in person plans for the week following my facial because I looked so terrifying. The staff didn't mention anything about my procedure being out of the normal and yet I walked out of there looking like I was in a car accident! (bbl laser treatments are advertised as little to no down time) I was panicked the wounds would scar so I returned the next day for an assessment. The doctor provided prescription grade creams to help in my Recovery. She confirmed my reaction was "not anticipated" As a new mom trying to enjoy some self care For my Birthday, this experience was so incredibly disappointing and scary. read more

IN RESPONSE TO THE BUSINESS: I was inquiring into a treatment as a new patient. I was treated disrespectfully when I specifically asked if the area I requested could be treated, and the doctor, without even knowing anything about what I was willing to pay for this service, literally said "it would cost a thousand dollars" and hung up. What is the excuse for this behavior? Looks like you don't have one and want an excuse to treat potential patients poorly without repercussion. Your patients and potential patients should be aware so they can make a purchasing decision based on experiences like mine- if I had known your medical professionals behave this way I certainly would not have called. Original review: I called specifically to inquire about a Sylfirm and whether or not this so called Med Spa would address the areas of concern I had. The receptionist Jessica was extremely friendly and kind and she said she'd talk to the Dr. The doctor called me back a few minutes later and was unbelievably rude. She actually told me I should "go back to my provider" who isn't even in this country, hence the reason why I called. Why would I be calling if that was an option? Like use your common sense, genius. She literally said to me "it would cost a thousand dollars" and then immediately HUNG UP ON ME. No goodbye or anything- cut me off mid sentence and hung up. So glad I didn't end up getting anything done here- this is how they are before you even pay them $$$ to handle your face- imagine how it is once you've already paid them! I had a BBL facial treatment and am very happy with the results. I am 59 and have never had a treatment before on my face. Dr. Misle was very attentive and caring about my background and reasons for wanting the treatment. She first offered to conduct a small patch test (both sides of my face on some large brown spots) before doing my full face. The test was successful and we moved forward. After being let down by Laser Away last year, I found Reviv Med Spa. I was interested in lip fillers and was happy when I called Reviv. I got an appointment a few days later. First time for any cosmetic procedure for my mother and I. I was flipped out by googling terrible results. Not only were we made comfortable by the nurse Ilka (she stayed with us a while talking it all through), but Dr Misle was EXTREMELY kind and thorough. She did a beautiful job! It's been a little over 2 weeks and the Botox is holding up, I still have movement in my forehead and I thought because it got SO much, my forehead would be expression free (which is what I wanted). Whatever, a little movement is ok, I suppose. I'm not happy with the Juvyderm Ultra at this point. My lips have pretty much gone back to what they originally looked like. I paid SO MUCH for that one syringe, it should last AT LEAST 4 months!! UGHHH. I feel like it was a waste of money. They're a tiny, tiny bit plumper but nobody even can tell I had them done. I've asked so many friends and they say, "They look the same". Not what I want to hear especially after spending a TON on the service. I could go back and complain but since the product is so damn expensive I can't imagine the Doc is going to give me any additional injections (touch ups) for free.
