I booked a microneedling appointment at Glow Room in Burlingame. They were having a special 50% off on Tuesdays. I had heard a lot of positive reviews about microneedling and wanted to try it out. The day before my appointment I made the mistake of going on TikTok and I saw all these people raving about microneedling, but their faces were red like a bad sunburn and some even had some bruises and little bloody areas. I immediately called Glow Room spoke to Joanne who was going to do the procedure and expressed my concern over my face potentially looking bright red, bruised etc. She was very calm and explained to me that she does a Korean microneedling process. Where a special product is used to reduce the redness and downtime. She mentioned that it involves exosomes and PDRN. (I am not familiar with these words). She was very reassuring and explained that my face would have very minimal redness. After talking to her I researched and found information about this type of Korean Microneedling and it supported the information that Joanne had given me. She also mentioned that she uses a very high-quality numbing cream. She told me that I could cancel my appointment if I felt unsure. Something in her tone made me want to keep the appointment. Thank Goodness! The procedure was painless and my face was only a little pink around my cheeks. I went to take care of my granddaughter, met some friends nobody knew I had had the procedure done until I told them. The most important part is that I could see a huge improvement in my skin the next day and the fine lines under my eyes had been reduced.
