Rather than having them refinish the door, I called Wilson Willkom Wood Refinishing. Wilson noted that my door has an extremely thin veneer so he could not use a solvent stripper. Then after multiple trips to my house, Wilson applied a total of 7 coats of varnish giving my door a vibrant new look. I greatly appreciate Wilson's workmanship and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an expert wood refinisher.

Ty was the only person who told me that he felt confident they can get a 90% match to the flooring, which was good enough for us because refinishing would have delayed when we can move into the house by. Ty was also kind enough to work over the weekend to help us meet our move-in target date. They came early and finished recarpeting about 2,100 sq ft within 6 hours. Backstory: We had hired a random handyman (NOT Ian) to rebuild our ~20 year old kitchen drawers as the wood was starting to split. That guy completely messed everything up - the drawers were the wrong size, no longer slid smoothly, and were completely misaligned with one another and the existing cabinet doors. Ian came in and fixed this mess in record time. He gave me a same-day estimate, had a team ready to start work the day after, and rebuilt my doors + refinished my cabinets faster than expected. His price was very reasonable - his quote for dovetailed soft close drawer boxes were in line with what prior handymen were quoting me for basic plywood builds. On top of all that, with the new slide setup, my new drawers are somehow slightly bigger than my old ones! Overall, I'm very very happy with Ian's work and wish I had just hired him from the start.
