We had the absolute best experience with Quincy and her assistant, Karen. They both helped my wife, Stella, deliver our beautiful baby boy, and we still can't stop talking about how grateful we are that they were the ones by our side. From the very beginning, Quincy made everything feel safe, calm, and personal. Nothing ever felt rushed or clinical--just genuinely caring and intentional. As first-time parents, we had plenty of questions and nerves, but Quincy always knew how to reassure us without ever dismissing what we were feeling. When it came time for the birth, the whole experience felt incredibly intimate and exactly what Stella needed. The attention, support, and presence she offered were beyond anything we could've hoped for. For those of you on the fence about home birth in area and have read about any negative experience with Revelation Midwifery, I cannot stress enough that while everyone's birth experience is different and their own, Quincy's holistic approach DOES provide her clients with the information to arm themselves appropriately--and every choice is their own. It is obvious after working with her that she would never ever put her clients and their babies in harms way. While various situations can--and sometimes do--arise, there is a reason why Quincy focuses strongly on the parent's alternate birth plans if the need presents itself. Quincy is a very knowledgeable birth professional able to help weigh the pros and cons of any situation while providing the birth mothers and their families the right to their own birth experience. And Quincy is an amazing educator who ensures the parents understand this when choosing an alternate birth experience. As a couple who had an elevated risk for bleeding due to a genetic disorder, we were extremely well prepared for any outcome thanks to Revelation Midwifery's care before and during the birth. Honestly, my wife and I wouldn't have had our care any other way. We had an amazing and safe experience. If you're looking for someone who truly honors a safe and natural birth experience, Quincy is the one. read more

While I understand the limitations HIPAA places on healthcare providers, Quincy's response to my review is a deflection that fails to acknowledge the gravity of the situation or take responsibility for her actions. I want to clarify a few critical points for the benefit of anyone reading this, especially expectant parents who may be considering her care. Yes, families should have choices in their birth experience--but they deserve accurate information, timely medical judgment, and appropriate referrals when serious risks arise. I communicated clear red flags, including premature rupture of membranes (PROM), meconium-stained fluid, and signs of infection. Despite this, I was left without any physical monitoring or in-person care for 36 hours, and I was never referred to the hospital--even though her own licensing guidelines explicitly require her to transfer care immediately when risk factors like these appear. I was relying on Quincy's professional judgment, trusting she would alert me when things became dangerous. That trust was deeply misplaced. When I finally went to the hospital (on my own initiative), I was diagnosed with chorioamnionitis, a serious infection, and had to undergo an emergency C-section. My daughter and I were both extremely lucky to come through this without permanent harm. Quincy's claim that we had "numerous discussions" about transferring care is simply not true. She minimized my concerns, dismissed signs of infection, and only offered a transfer as a casual option--not a medical necessity. Additionally, when I attempted to address this with her post-birth, she shifted the blame onto me rather than taking responsibility. This review is not written out of spite. It's written to protect other families from experiencing the fear, danger, and betrayal I felt in one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. I hope anyone reading this will seek a care provider who follows not only their licensure requirements, but also basic medical standards and human empathy. read more

100% Recommend. Very educated in potential issues while respecting the natural birth process.

I was present during part of your care. We were at the hospital for hours together. Also, if you're inclined to follow HIPAA, why were you giving out my friend's medical information to my family member? I understand you don't want to accept fault. You cannot argue with the fact that you did not monitor baby and mom and left them unattended with her water broken for too long. Baby had tachycardia when we got to the hospital. Most likely had it prior to the hospital. Update: her response "Sorry your "family member" was no longer under my care at the hospital. Also when people know each other out in the community that is not a violation of HIPAA if they already know each others stories." They did not know each others stories. You told her more information than the person shared. HIPAA violation. They are not friends. They barely know each other. You shared private medical information. You say you transferred care yet you still were saying opinions on what should be done in the hospital. You were still talking about the situation whether you were in charge of care on paper or not. You were still in the recovery room with me writing down things about the situation. You said it yourself.. I heard it out of your mouth multiple times, she was an anomaly. Why didn't you transfer care sooner? Why did you wait till Sunday to check on my sister and my niece? You waited until SUNDAY to physically see them! Relied on a first time mom to know what's normal and what not when she has ZERO experience! At the very least, you should've checked on them Saturday morning and checked on the amniotic fluid that was leaking! You didn't! ALSO- SHE PAID YOU FOR FULL CARE. She paid for six weeks care after babies arrival. She was still under your "care." That's why you offered to come and see them afterwards. REFUND HER THEN read more

I gave birth to my baby boy at home with Quincy on September 12, 2025, and the experience was everything I could have hoped for and more. Every prenatal visit lasted at least an hour, where she took the time to check in on not only my physical health but also my emotional well-being. I always felt seen, heard, and never rushed. This was such a contrast to my past experiences in Indio at caring for women, where appointments lasted just a few minutes with a different nurse each time and no personalized care. She is open-minded and has respect for informed consent. She provided me with thorough information about every aspect of pregnancy, birth, and newborn care, and never pressured me into decisions. Whether it was vaccines, circumcision, or other important choices for our baby, she gave us the knowledge we needed while fully respecting our right to decide what felt best for our family. I never felt judged, only supported. When it came time to give birth, Quincy and her assistant Karen created a safe, calm environment where I could labor comfortably in my own home. I felt like I was in the hands of ancestral wisdom. Moving into the birth pool when it was time to push felt natural, empowering, and effective. After this experience I actually can't even imagine birthing at a hospital or under any other care. I was able to focus completely on the experience, knowing that every detail of my care and my baby's care was handled skillfully and compassionately. The environment made it so that things progressed and I was offered tools like natural herbs or suggestions at different points to assist me with the process. Quincy is is truly a gifted healer. The energy and professionalism she brings made our birth experience the most meaningful and transformative days of our lives. I honestly cannot imagine giving birth any other way. My fiancé and I will cherish this experience forever, and I cannot recommend Quincy enough to anyone considering a home birth. read more

We were on the fence on where we wanted to give birth. A home birth was always my dream and but my partner was concerned about the risks associated with it especially since I'm 34 and have had issues with anemia in the past. After meeting with Quincy for our consultation she did a fantastic job of educating us on the process and we knew home birth was the way to go. All our visit were soo professional and informative. When the big day came my partner and I were both in a ready mindset. I felt super comfortable and prepared when my water broke at 4 am. By we reached out to Quincy later in the morning and by the afternoon she and her assistant Karen arrived later that afternoon when my contractions started to pickup. The entire labor I felt soo comfortable and safe and cared for. Quincy and Karen gave us lots of privacy and the whole experience was so sweet and intimate. Our two dogs were by my side through the experience. I was pretty tired towards the end when it finally came time to push but Quincy, Karen, and my partners' words of encouragement were what I needed to get our son out. It was such a relief to hear his first cries when he popped out. I was helped back into bed while and stitched up for a minor tear after my placenta was delivered. Of course we opted for the delayed cord clamping. They did all the clean up afterwards so my partner and I could rest while the baby was resting. I was able to have my placenta encapsulated and get those nutrients back in my body. We continued to have check ups with Quincy, she always makes sure we are well taken care of and all our concerns are addressed. The level of care she provides is world class and she makes you feel like part of the family. Hands down would do it all over again. It was truly the experience of my dreams. read more

Being a patient of Quincy's is a warm, positive, loving and respectful experience. She included the whole family in her care, and helped us all prepare for the arrival of our new little tribe member. Nothing was ever rushed, no questions or feelings were ever unheard or unseen, nothing was missed. I was a vbac, and before I decided that a homebirth was right for me, Quincy was diligent in making sure I knew all benefits and risks. I got to make an actual informed decision And I ended up having a successful vbac at home! Something I don't think would have been possible had I not chosen Quincy for prenatal care and birth. If we choose to have more children, Quincy is our obvious first choice of care. You changed my life Quincy. Everything I dreamed my home birth to be and more. This was my 7th baby but first home birth. I loved the concierge service throughout the entire pregnancy. Quincy and her assistant Karen were so attentive and caring. This was by far the most peaceful and calm birth I've ever experienced. I can't say enough about Quincy's level of service before, during, and after birth. Every mama deserves this level of care. read more

As soon as I got pregnant I knew I wanted a homebirth, so I was able to hire Quincy early on- definitely the way to do it! Being able to have family centered prenatal appointments and watch my oldest child experience listening to Baby's heartbeat and help measure my belly as it grew was pure magic. There was no pressure/feeling forced surrounding the prenatal tests, just information and grace on each subject until I felt ready to make my own decision. From prenatal til postpartum, Quincy was there each step of the way to inform and empower my entire family for whatever may come. We now have the happiest, healthy baby who was brought Earth side in comfort and full love (and a mommy with no birth trauma and heart full of gratitude after having a dream birthing experience). read more

Quincy made my pregnancy and the birth of our daughter so pleasant and comfortable. If a woman is considering a home birth I highly recommend it and Quincy is so professional and warm, I wouldn't trust anyone else. My daughter Charlize was born 4/14/16 in our home, my first child and first pregnancy, everything went very smoothly. Quincy did such an amazing job preparing me for exactly what was going to happen so when labor started I knew what my body was doing and was able to surrender to the process. Her assistant's Karen and Katie came with her, Katie even capsulized my placenta for me after the birth, and Karen took amazing photos of the event. Not sure if another baby will happen for us or not, however if it does Quincy is the first person I am calling! Thank you for being apart of the most amazing day of our lives. read more

Quincy is lovely. I am thankful for hospitals and medicine but the sharp contrast between my doctors visits and my visits with Quincy highlighted that having a midwife was definitely the best choice for me. I knew before I became pregnant that I wanted to have a home birth. Having my husband stationed in 29, I was lucky to find Quincy. She was happy to accommodate the experience that I wanted. She did not pressure me into an procedure or exam that I wasn't comfortable with- unlike a nearby women's healthcare group. She came to us during the birth exactly when we asked her to and stayed right where we needed her. Overall, I'd say I had a wonderful experience and wish we could stay in 29 Palms longer so she could deliver any other future children. read more

I am writing an updated review since the birth of our Son. If you are considering the Home Birth Route, give Quincy a call. My birth was the most raw, real, unexplainable, beautiful experience I have encountered since my 33 years on this Earth. I let me body take over and Quincy was there to reassure me everything was going smoothly and according to nature's plan. I had a quick and easy delivery. I wouldn't say painless, but that's to be expected. No tearing and no swelling... Are you kidding me? I didn't think it was possible to not be swollen or tear! Her guidance during our Son's arrival will never be forgotten. During such a crazy time, Karen, her birth assistant, was there to take photos for us. We wouldn't have gotten any if it wasn't for them. I can't sing the praises of these women high enough. read more

Quincy has been amazing through this whole journey! I contacted her before I was even pregnant to ask questions and she was forthcoming and open. I knew once my husband and I WERE pregnant, that she'd be the midwife I wanted. My prenatal visits were always comfortable and she provided fantastic one-on-one attention. My husband and I never felt rushed or hurried through at any time. I appreciated her patience as I went back over concerns we might have already brought up. She was always informative and helped us find our best answer in every situation. Pregnancy comes with a whole slew of decisions you have to make. Quincy maintained unbiased opinions but expressed her thoughts when we let her know we were struggling on a choice we had. I felt prepared and excited by the time my due date approached. Quincy was always available round the clock for my calls and updates. She also texted to keep in touch with how I was feeling. My homebirth went super smoothly and it was the most amazing experience. I credit Quincy with this amazing birth. Not that we're planning another child anytime soon (little one is only 3 months old), but I'd book Quincy for my next homebirth without hesitation. read more

Quincy has been an incredible blessing to my family! We originally hired her to be our doula for our first baby more than 12 years ago, and we loved her so much, we kept her around for the next 5 babies too! She completed her midwifery training while I was pregnant with our 3rd baby, and we were thrilled to hire her as our midwife for babies 4, 5, and 6. The care she provides as a midwife is unparalleled and after experiencing birth at home with Quincy, I couldn't imagine choosing to deliver a baby any other way. read more

We absolutely love Quincy. We had amazing experiences with the births of both of our daughters, and when we experienced several losses between our second daughter and our son's birth, Quincy was so supportive and loving. When our son came, she went out of her way to make things amazing even though we had to have him via C-section in the hospital. The personal care you receive is unprecedented, and her warm and caring nature are beyond compare. read more
