We were on the fence on where we wanted to give birth. A home birth was always my dream and but my partner was concerned about the risks associated with it especially since I'm 34 and have had issues with anemia in the past. After meeting with Quincy for our consultation she did a fantastic job of educating us on the process and we knew home birth was the way to go. All our visit were soo professional and informative. When the big day came my partner and I were both in a ready mindset. I felt super comfortable and prepared when my water broke at 4 am. By we reached out to Quincy later in the morning and by the afternoon she and her assistant Karen arrived later that afternoon when my contractions started to pickup. The entire labor I felt soo comfortable and safe and cared for. Quincy and Karen gave us lots of privacy and the whole experience was so sweet and intimate. Our two dogs were by my side through the experience. I was pretty tired towards the end when it finally came time to push but Quincy, Karen, and my partners' words of encouragement were what I needed to get our son out. It was such a relief to hear his first cries when he popped out. I was helped back into bed while and stitched up for a minor tear after my placenta was delivered. Of course we opted for the delayed cord clamping. They did all the clean up afterwards so my partner and I could rest while the baby was resting. I was able to have my placenta encapsulated and get those nutrients back in my body. We continued to have check ups with Quincy, she always makes sure we are well taken care of and all our concerns are addressed. The level of care she provides is world class and she makes you feel like part of the family. Hands down would do it all over again. It was truly the experience of my dreams.

    Pure joy!

Quincy made my pregnancy and the birth of our daughter so pleasant and comfortable. If a woman is considering a home birth I highly recommend it and Quincy is so professional and warm, I wouldn't trust anyone else. My daughter Charlize was born 4/14/16 in our home, my first child and first pregnancy, everything went very smoothly. Quincy did such an amazing job preparing me for exactly what was going to happen so when labor started I knew what my body was doing and was able to surrender to the process. Her assistant's Karen and Katie came with her, Katie even capsulized my placenta for me after the birth, and Karen took amazing photos of the event. Not sure if another baby will happen for us or not, however if it does Quincy is the first person I am calling! Thank you for being apart of the most amazing day of our lives.

The warmth and kindness of the doulas and staff made us feel safe and cared for. We were able to meet our doula Joanna, and then met with her several times before labor and delivery. So thankful to have her with me there at the hospital through my very long labor, helping keep me (and my family) calm and advocating for me. Once our little girl arrived, Joanna continued to check in, coming to our home to insure breastfeeding was going well. From the dad's view - (note: this was our first baby)…read more Hiring Britney was the best decision we made. Let me explain to the dads out there why this turned out to be so awesome and worth every penny. There is a lot about the whole pregnancy thing that are challenging for dad mostly because you feel a little helpless. I had no idea what to really expect and hadn't even seen a birth before. We took some hypno-birthing classes and those were helpful. I also read a ton of books. One I recommend is Expectant Fathers http://a.co/6av4TBN - it is a book just for expecting dads. From the first meeting we liked Britney because she tells it like it is, asks thoughtful questions and is flexible with her approach. This means you get to direct how you want the brith to go down. She comes and meets with you a couple of times before the baby is born. This is great because you get to ask more questions and dive into what to expect the day of. My wife really really didn't want a c-section and Britney was great about helping us understand how we can best avoid the procedure. She also wanted to avoid an epidural...and she did. Now fast forward to the day of the birth, or in our case the two days :) It is darn near traumatizing to watch your significant other go through child labor. We stayed home as long as we could before heading to the hospital. Britney was texting and calling while we waited, ate, slept, walked, drank water, and chilled for hours while the labor proceeded. It was nice having someone I could reach out to with questions while we were at home because I have no fricken clue what exactly to do during labor. The best way to sum it up is this - Britney is the coach and mentor for the brith. This allows us dads to take on the roll of supporter and comforter. I am so thankful that I didn't need to tell my wife that she "needs to push harder!" because Britney was there to do that. I can only imagine how well that would have gone over with me telling her that after hours of pushing. During labor, neither our OB nor our Midwife made it to the delivery room. Without Britney there we would have been going through this entire thing alone, without anyone we knew or had a relationship with. There is no question that our birth was a thousand times better because Britney was our guide. As a dad she also made my experience better because it gave me a unique chance to be involved in a caring way during the labor.

She was referred to me from a friend, yet I still did my own research and interviewed a few other midwives before committing and I felt like she was the best fit. Each prenatal visit was at least an hour long - she gave me time to ask my questions and never made me feel silly or brushed me off. Having no previous exposure to a home birth, I had a lot of questions yet she answered them all gracefully and in great detail - giving my the confidence I needed to believe in myself that I could do this and that it is safe. Also included in the package was a prenatal massage around 36 weeks and when I tell you it was the best massage in my life - you have to believe me! It was amazing! That hour flew by and I was ready to book another one When I went into labor, I waited until almost the last minute to tell anyone, just to be sure it was the real thing. Well, it was the real thing and it was go time by the time my husband got home from work and Heather arrived. But she didn't waste any time, she jumped in and gave me the encouragement and reassurance I needed to get through transition and birth my baby girl. She was so amazing and was not afraid to get her hands dirty. My 3 year old was there and Heather included her in everything and never pushed her out of the way. Even though I was almost pushing as she walked through the door, she still handled everything with such a calmness and peacefulness that it made that crazy intense last part of birth go so perfectly. If I decide to have baby number 3, a home birth will definitely be my preferred route and Heather would be at the top of my list of midwives (but I would give a longer heads up next time ).

The booking process through her website was super easy, and she was communicative and kind leading up to the session. My husband had his massage first and immediately gave it a 5/5 - he raved about how great it was and encouraged me to book one too (he actually said it was one of the best massages he's ever had). I'm usually a bit hesitant about massages (not super comfortable with strangers touching me), but there was something about Supinda that put me at ease. I'm so glad I went through with it. Supinda tailored the class to our specific concerns and needs and addressed any and all areas we felt uncertain about. Since I am in the last week before my due date, she assisted my husband in pressing and located induction points to help get things going and also release any extra pressure my body was holding after some of the yogic poses. Wouldn't recommend this service to anyone! Our experience was very similar to Emily's experience…read more I'd say almost to the T with the exception of her assistant, Sally was great and is one of the reason my wife and son are alive today. My wife and I expressed concerns about her pelvis being too narrow but she brushed it off and we believed her. A mistake that nearly ended my new family. She would say that something was fine and then would say that the same thing was concerning. We chalked it up to her being a bit eccentric. On top of that, we only got reimbursed a little over $100 from insurance and we had Anthem PPO at the time. Not necessarily her fault but it added to the negative experience and expenses. My wife's labor ended up being 24hrs at home and 36hrs total which ended in a C-Section. She was little to no help and it was Sally that recommended we go to the hospital. Plug-in for Rancho Springs, amazing hospital and staff. It's not what we wanted but definitely what we needed and more. We didn't want a hospital birth but they have the best ward bar none. Only hospital me and my wife would go to for this. From our conversations with other people that used her in the past, I think she was once a great midwife but from our experience, I would highly discourage anyone from using her services. If you use her, you'll be playing roulette with you and your child's life.

Would not recommend Our son was born early September 2024…read moreand Anne was our midwife for the pregnancy. During our meetings we were constantly recommended to seek outside opinions from my OBGYN and medical facilities, causing us to spend thousands more during my pregnancy and birth on top of her fee for services ($6000). During my birth Anne and her assistants made the environment stressful when I expressed for my birth to be peaceful to my liking. Upon Anne's arrival she said that I was fully dilated at 6am. At 3pm Anne had checked me and told me that she had still felt some of my cervix (I WAS NOT FULLY DILATED). She had complained earlier in the day that her fingers were too short to check properly, so I'm not sure how she has been a midwife and her fingers be too short to check her clients. I was instructed to push while not being fully dilated. Anne appeared impatient and she didn't seem to know what to do to help me progress. After an hour and a half of pushing she recommended transfer to the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital I was checked and was dilated to AN EIGHT. The hospital determined that my baby was too large to have naturally. During my pregnancy we brought up the size of my baby and Anne would discredit all the ultrasounds and weight estimates that we were given. I had my baby via c-section and was born at 11 pounds 1 ounce, he would never have been born safely naturally. After my hospital stay we returned home to a birth pool fully inflated and still containing the water from my labor, this was after I was told that everything would be cleaned up before our return. A warning to all, a contract is presented and must be signed that states once Anne shows up to your birth/labor there are NO REFUNDS of any sort. Ultimately I would not recommend Anne's services as a midwife. If you are looking for a midwife to trust as your expert and for a safe, comfortable birth, look elsewhere.
