Derek, Ray and the other PT's are friendly, helpful and want to see you recover and get back to normal or close to it as possible. Derek is a traveler and I and other patients will miss him when he leaves. HDPRG is a nice facility, well staffed, clean and appears to have everything needed to help with recovery including speech therapy. Today is 11/2/23 and I've been coming twice a week early in the morning and I do notice improvements although by midday thru evening my upper arm and shoulder does get quite painful. I'm told this is normal as I go about my daily activities perhaps because I'm over doing what I can do and pushing the envelope a little. If you need physical therapy I would really recommend you giving these folks a try.

Dr. Neeroo Do Agarwal happens to be the Angel I speak of. Alot has had changed in Joshua tree at what used to be the biggest nightmare from Hell if you needed medical assistance of any kind in the past...NOT ANYMORE SAN BERNARDINO! Due to a rather life threatening hernia I had needed repaired for a little over 8 months in? I had literally given up any hope that there would ever be anybody who would bring me back from that dimly lit corridor of hope that for me then? Was my only option. Once Dr. Agarwal (My Angel and hero) assembled her team and ran all the appropriate tests? The miracle prevailed through her two heavenly hands. Giving me back the chance I never thought was ever going to be possible...ever again. A life. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the existence of such a fine bunch of rare, down to earth team players. Like those whom assist Dr. Agarwal assembled on a daily basis. Right on down to the credible, caring, wonderfully attentive nursing staff Hi Desert has taken great care in assembling. Because it's plain to see. There's nothing plain about the care you you'll receive nowadays. As to what it used to be. Dr.Agarwal you are a genuine Angel in my eyes. And always will be. The best care was received by the certified nursing assistants, however, never once was I offered a way to clean my body whether bed bath or assist in shower. Very poor care. If you can drive yourself away from this facility as a default, do it fast. Drive yourself to either Loma Linda, UC IRVINE, UCLA or Eisenhower Medical Centers.

The environment is the best I have experienced in my dealing with chronic pain. With a highly skilled, trained and educated staff they go above and beyond with a human side and bedside manner I have yet to see in any other medical facility or clinic. They accept medical insurance and also provide to anyone as payment for services. I was fortunate to have their care covered through the VA by TriWest. In order to get that set up I had to visit my primary provider and asked for chiropractor referral. Within a couple weeks I was scheduled with Dr JP at Center for Health. As a patient who has gotten hurt from over ambitious physical therapists in the past I was hesitant of attempting to start treatment again but so glad I did with this clinic, especially since they are located in the Morongo Basin and other clinics specializing in myofascial release are a good hour and a half drive from 29 Palms. The massage therapy with myofascial release is worth paying for if insurance doesn't cover it but thankfully TriWest includes massage along with chiropractor evaluation and adjustment, physical with the nurse practitioner and physical therapy and rehabilitation. If you're in pain and don't want to throw prescriptions at it, definitely worth coming into Center for Health and letting them help you.

My husband finally got one physical therapist to actually come out for 3 times in a row. The occupational therapists would schedule an appointment but then cancel on the day and this was a month from when he got home. He was due 6 visits and he received 2 then they just sent out a review nurse, who said he didn't need them any more! Talking with the coordinator was a joke because either he was non responsive to my calls or just not there. In other words don't use this service if you want your loved one needs in-home help!!

Jaja (the care coordinator) delayed what should have been a routine urinalysis by twenty days. Her behavior was unprofessional, unpleasant and uncaring 100%. I asked for her supervisor Josie to call me which never happened. Today I finally got to speak with Ena, the Director of Medical Care only to be "redirected " to another home health agency. Again, 100% unprofessional behavior. If the director of medical care penalizes a patient for advocating for her well being and health, imagine how the rest of the staff behave. I asked to speak with Ulysses (the director of this agency) and I was not able to do so. I would never recommend this agency and if I could give them zero stars I would. But that's not an option.
