I originally called Rev limit just looking for towing services to another auto repair shop. When getting the quote, Garren mentioned they were also a repair shop and we decided to get our caution repaired with them as well. So convenient finding a repair shop that does their own towing, especially in our situation since it was a starter issue and we couldn't get our car started. Our car was with their shop for about 10 days. They picked it up and got the diagnosis done a few days later which we were fine with. I then received a detailed invoice with what was performed and also what the repairs would cost. I had to acknowledge the invoice and approve of the repairs before they started the work. I think that is great because we had a set amount we wanted to stay under. If the repair costed more we would've just gotten rid of the car. Once I approved the repairs, they completed them and we picked up the car two days later. (It was ready the next day but I got off work too late to get it from them). DO NOT GO TO THIS MECHANIC!!! This auto shop had our vehicle for almost a month and half. Terrible communication and follow up. Every time they said it would be fixed it wasn't ready but we had to chase them down to find this out and arrange for a rental last minute 4 times. We spent over $6500 for them to fix the oil pump, timing chain, and valves. Within a day of finally getting our vehicle back it is over heating and there is huge leak coming from the engine. We gave them our vehicle in good faith to fix and paid them an enormous amount of money to do so and in return they gave us back a vehicle with problems that it never had in the first place. DO NOT TRUST THIS MECHANIC THEY ARE INCOMPETENT AND WILL SWINDLE YOU. read more

My car needed to be towed at night because it broke down. The towing company recommended this shop because they had a late night drop off service so I didn't have to wait till the next day to have my car towed. I dropped off my vehicle, left my key in the drop box, and left a message with my contact info so they could call me the next day. They called me the next morning to ask what was wrong with my vehicle and took a little more of my information, then promptly sent quotes for diagnostic services and a quote for the repair shortly after. The work was done quick and I called back to see if they could also add on an oil change and they helped me out and took care of that as well! An oil change and serpentine belt change was done quickly and I was able to pick up my car that same day. Prices were fair and they were very nice! I would recommend this shop to everyone! Took my truck here to get a diagnosis since it seemed to be running a bit rough. They ran a full diagnostic test, and discovered that my fuel pump needed to be replaced. The staff was kind and took the time to explain things to me in a way that made sense, and ensured that I understood what was going on with my vehicle. Summing up the owner of this business in one word...PILAU. Garren is a LIAR. If you value your car, DO NOT send it here. Even if you have to tow it from Empire to the closest mechanic...DON'T do it (which is what we did). Two days later and still never called me back. Followed up on the third day and was informed their short on staff and will get back to me in 72 hours. Till this day, they never did call back. I really had high hopes. Owner said himself he'd call me back but no call back. He's a real smooth talker, he really had me feeling like there was nothing to worry about said I wouldn't have to pay a deductible if my car was repairable. Told me the damage wasnt as bad as it looked. Just needed new parts for a bumper hood and radiator support. Can't believe I'm taking the time to write this but I had to. It's to help those who treat their cars very special and to avoid places like these that can't help at all and give false hopes. Very disappointed. I could have gone to other repair shops but to book an appointment I'd have to wait for daaays and I needed a car for transportation to get to work and all but Revs says they could take me in the next day once they found out an estimate. I am not sure if REVLIMIT is still open for business, but if they are, they should be permanently closed. The owner, Garren Mousser, in short is dishonest and a fraud. I brought a mini-cooper in for a head gasket replacement at the end of July 2023. I was given an estimate of approximately $3483. I was told by Garren that they would not do any work unless I paid half upfront. So, Garren charged my credit card for $1740 on Aug 7. I checked in with REVLIMIT after 2 weeks, because no one contacted me with any updates. When I did call and asked for an update, Daniel Chung ("Service Advisor" - if you want to call him that) said that he would send me a text with update. The update that he text me was that "the heads for your vehicle are at the machine shop, but the machine shop is backed up at the moment. We're currently waiting on them to finish what they have to do." I was thinking, great, they have taken the heads off the engine and are doing work on the vehicle. Another couple of weeks go by, its September 5, and I stop by REVLIMIT unannounced. I see that the Mini Cooper that I brought to the shop is still parked out in front of the shop in the same place that it was parked when I had it towed there. I walk into the shop and see Daniel and ask about the progress and ask for the keys to the Mini-Cooper. He was about to grab the keys from the back of the shop until Garren interjected and said that the keys are not at the office. I asked Garren where the keys were and he said that the Technician had them. I asked where the Technician was, and he said that he was not at the shop. None of this made any sense to me, I felt that Garren was lying to me the entire time. I stayed there and waited and I told Garren that I would wait for the Technician to bring the keys because I needed to get in the car. Finally, after an hour of waiting at Garren's shop, he magically found the keys to the Mini-Cooper. I opened the Mini-Cooper and popped the hood, Garren was outside when I did this, the engine was fully intact and no work was conducted on the vehicle. I confronted Garren with this, basically, I caught his company in a lie. He offered to refund the $1740, so I took him up on the offer and had the Mini-Cooper towed back to my house. It gets worse folks, Garren showed me that he refunded me $1740 through square to my credit card, he even sent me a screenshot of it. It did show on my credit card as pending on September 5. Here is where it goes South, Garren pulled back the funds and the credit was never applied to my credit card. So, I filed a dispute with my credit card company on September 12. I confronted Garren in person on September 15, and stated to him that my credit card was never refunded $1740. So he played the same game again, and said "I don't know what went wrong, I will try to do the refund again." Same thing happened, it showed up on credit card as pending, but Garren pulled the funds back and my credit card was never refunded the $1740. During the dispute with my credit card company, Garren tells my credit card company that there was no record of agreement for a refund. The short of this story is the owner of REVLIMIT -- Garren Mousser is an absolutely dishonest and disgraceful person and has no business working with the public. In addition, he is not that intelligent either. I saved all of my communications with REVLIMIT and provided it to my credit card company. My credit card company fought on my behalf to get my refund. Ultimately, my credit card company resolved the dispute and got my money back. My advice - do not go to this place, you will be lied to and they will try to cheat you out of your money. Also, like I mentioned earlier, I don't think they are open for business anymore. I tried to go there earlier this month to confront Garren in person one last time, but no one was there. I ran into an USAA Insurance Representative who pulled up as I was about to leave. I told him that no one was at the shop and the troubles I had. He told me that he was there to try to gain access to his customers vehicles because USAA had been receiving complaints from its customers that they were not getting any info on their vehicles, and the vehicles were locked up in REVLIMIT's shop. Needed my a/c looked at. It wasnt blowing cold enough air on the drivers side for this blistering Ewa heat. These guys caught my attention on yelp as they are an all in one auto shop that does detailing as well. I opted to get a full detail while the truck was in the shop and they didnt disappoint at all! They got my truck looking like new again and as I was promised, I fell in love with my truck all over again. Price was quite a bit cheaper than the normal rate for a Silverado but the results were top notch! As for the a/c repair, I brought it in and held my breath for the big hit that my bank account was gonna take. That didnt happen at all as the price was FAR more reasonable than I expected. Diagnostic took a little longer than expected as it took a while to figure out the exact problem ( a bad compressor I believe on the driver's side of the dual zone system) Once they pinpointed the problem though, it was fixed within just a few hours. The flat rate for diagnostic must've saved a good amount seeing as it took about a day 1/2 to find the exact problem. When the final invoice came in I was amazed at how low the labor cost was. We all know that's where they get you at most shops. Last, but not least, the communication was spot on. I was updated at every step of the process and even received a phone call the next day double checking that I was satisfied with their work. Unheard of at other shops! If you're looking for automotive work, mechanical or detail wise, this is your one stop shop. They'll get your vehicle up and running and/or looking fresh and won't put you under the poverty line to do so. I'll definitely be back for the detail maintenance package and get my other vehicle taken care of as well. Called them the next day and they told me they should get to my car. Day 3 and haven't heard from anyone and called again. They replied they should get to it today. I honestly wanted to select 0 stars, but I couldn't post the review without selecting at least 1 star. We should have the choice to choose 0. He's a nice guy, but he has a lot to learn about running a business. His personality alone isn't going to cut it. He makes promises that he never keeps and he never returns calls or replies to text messages in a timely manner or keeps in contact on the status of the car and don't take on more than you can chew. He also misses the most important step of all, Step 1-test drive car to see exactly what is wrong with it. My daughter initially dropped her car off so that he could fix a transmission (slipping) problem. She told him that she had taken it to Goodyear because of the transmission being very rough when shifting. After inspecting it they weren't equipped to repair it and they advised her to find someone familiar with transmissions. So she took it to Garren who she found on yelp and agreed that he could fix it. He had it for a total of 6 months (11/13-5/5/18). While trying to figure out the problem without test driving it, he fixed a leak and other parts along the way costing us $2400. He finally drove it after 5 months and realized that the 3rd gear wasn't shifting. I never thought of asking him throughout if he had actually driven the car. I assumed he had when she dropped it off with him. Anyway, we were promised the car several times, usually on a Wednesday which never actually happened for one reason or another. Reasons given were 1) found a new problem, 2) looking for the parts, 3) waiting for the parts from the mainland, 4) waiting for a fellow mechanic to help assess, 5) trying to find a mechanic that knows about the problem, 6) his dog chewed the bumper; it needs to be replaced, and finally 7) I can't fix it. After 6 months and him finally admitting that he's not able to fix the car we picked it up and found that not only is the transmission (original problem) not fixed, but the replacement bumper, grill and emblem damaged by his dog wasn't installed yet. I also noticed that the moon roof was left open allowing wind, dust, and critters to come in, not to mention the rain that caused damage to the interior. The headliner along the rear window is falling and the material on the door panel on the driver-side passenger door is also falling off due to the exposure to the heat and rain. I brought this to his attention which he just brushed off. Remember we had very rainy weather Dec-March. What was left in the back seat was the grill and the VW emblem. He said he had the replacement bumper at his house and said he would contact my daughter to schedule when he can come to her house to install these items. It took us 4-1/2 weeks to make contact with him when he finally answered his cell phone. This is after many texts and phone messages left by both me and my daughter with no response from him on scheduling the installation of the replacement bumper, grill and emblem. It seemed he totally forgot about it. When he answered, "hey, yeah what's up?" He agreed to come around 6 p.m.that night. Not surprising, we get a phone call at 5:30 p.m. from him, he's not going to make it for another 2 hrs because he's painting a car and can't leave it. At this point I was at the end of my rope of being patient and understanding. I demanded that the car get put back together and we weren't going to wait another 2 hrs. Long story short he sent someone else to install the replacement bumper. I was missing a clip for one side of the bumper, so this guy had McGyver a piece to hold the bumper on th car and the new front license plate that was on the car when it was dropped off was missing. Don't deal with him if you really have a serious problem with your car that needs fixing. Go and find a real mechanic that means what he says and keeps his word and isn't just a fast talker who "says what you want to hear", but never comes through. The problems dealing with him never stopped!!!! In the long run my daughter was initially taken by a seller on Craigslist that knew there were major problems with the car and sold it deceitfully. Then she was taken by a smooth talking mechanic who seemed honest, sympathetic and wiling to help her, but ended up taking advantage of her too. read more

This place is a diamond in the ruff. Garren, the owner gave me great service. I had a little accident with my Camry on Saturday, 7-1-17. I backed up into a tight compact stall and hit the concrete pillar. It left an eyesore deep scratch in my pax 1/4 panel. I went to other auto body shops, but they couldn't take me in right away. I didn't want to wait 2-3 weeks to fix my car. So, I looked around on Yelp & found Rev Limit Auto Center in Kalaeloa, Kapolei. I contacted Garren on Monday, 7-3-17 and he worked me in on Thurs, 7-6-17. It was really convenient because I work near by. He worked around my schedule, which was really important. He actually did a really good job. Considering the fact that he had other jobs. It took about 1& half days. It was done on Friday, 7-7-17. In fact, he even called me the next day after I picked up my car to follow up and asked if everything was okay and if I was satisfied with my car repair. He really did a great job.
