My wife had roasted squid tentacles with arrabbiata sauce, burrata cheese drizzled with olive oil. For our primo i had black fermented garlic pappardelle with shrimp tartare, mullet bottarga and pistachio crumbles. My wife had a great plate of gnocchi with clams, flavored with zucchini flower, lemon and pepper. The secondo was a simple but great dish of fried calamari and shrimp with a tarragon based dipping sauce. My wife had prawns al Vermentino with a snapper reduction on a bed of slivered vegetables. We initially discovered this restaurant on our first trip to Gargnano and it was the perfect romantic dinner for two. The restaurant has a picturesque outdoor dining area overlooking the water (as well as lovely indoor space with floor to ceiling glass so one can appreciate the view in cooler weather). We're back for our second trip to the area and they were especially friendly to our young well-behaved daughter when we came back as repeat customers.
