We stopped for lunch on our way south and we were graciously accommodated on short notice. Called the night before and they set us up with a table near the end of service. Charming, professional, spotlessly clean, small and very nicely furnished in an authentic urban Italian style. Not rushed, not ignored, not overlooked. Treated us like neighborhood regulars, and there were numerous in attendance. Now about that food... we're back to wow, seriously wow. For starters my wife and I chose tagliatelle with duck ragu (tagliatelle al sugo d'anatra) and tiny tortellini in brodo (sorry I forgot the actual name of this dish). The tortellini were dynamite flavor bombs and the broth was clean and perfect. The duck dish was flawless--the homemade egg tagliatelle were ethereal, cooked to perfection--served in a lovely copper pan. Also enjoyed a rabbit dish (Coscia do consigliere alle Erbe ).
