I was intrigued by the menu which has entries such as Dreamsicle, Tres Leches, Peaches and Cream, and the one that captured me -- Nashberry. A combo of berry flavors with a hint of coconut in the ice which is over a center of ice cream. And did I want the spray of sweetened condensed milk on top?? Why yes I did! Now back to the sno I love the rainbow it is one of my favorite and I've tried plenty of them. My second favorite is the piña colada. The reason why I love rainbow because of the mixtures of cherry pineapples, blueberry syrups top with sour patch rainbow candy I think one of the reasons why retro sno stands the most is that its small-batch syrup is made of sugar cane and not high fructose syrup. The service is great the people are always so helpful and will walk you through their menu. The food truck made a stop in my neighborhood today and I was so disappointed. I'm thinking it was a fluke (based on other reviews) but still going to leave my honest thoughts here. I ordered a large coconut + cream to cool me off on this hot day. The large is massive but great for sharing. Unfortunately, mine had almost no flavor. The top was ok although they really skimped on the cream. When I got to the middle and the bottom, there was NO flavor. It was just ice. Another food truck love! I am not ashamed to admit I have stalked twitter, Instagram and Facebook to find where this truck was going to be next. Perfect and refreshing on a warm day. I love that you can have ice cream in the middle (AWESOME RIGHT!?) All of the flavors I've tried have been great! Despite being just sugar water, they don't taste too terribly superficial. It was so hot I had to race against the elements to finish it before it melted everywhere. They put a HUGE portion in a tiny cup. I didn't care for the whipped cream; maybe because I specifically was looking for something refreshing and anything cream was not in line with that. Unique snow cone food truck that we found in downtown Nashville for the 4th of July Festival. We got the tres leches ice cream stuffed snow cone, which was pricey but really large, requiring two people really to finish. The ice cream core was really good, but the shave ice part melted pretty quickly in the July heat. Overall, delicious and certainly memorable. Worth a try! read more

And to pay such a hefty price for such a small amount that you actually get and the flavors just aren't there. Tried the one that is white mocha. It's just tasted mostly like water. The white raspberry wedding cake was not good either. Got two others and only one was good enough flavor wise and that one was one of the ice cream and snow combinations. At the time of writing this though, I've forgotten what it was. That kinda makes me sad.. it is extremely forgettable, what they serve.. especially since I have been wanting to try their stuff for almost a year and once I had, the disappointment was huge. They are a sno-balls truck that makes their own delicious cane-sugar based, gluten-free syrups and offers an incredible variety of flavors of Sno-balls. I sampled pineapple-mango, strawberry-lemonade, and raspberry wedding cake, all of which were "Retro sno balls" which means that they came with a yummy topping in addition to the shaved ice. I've had the following flavors and all were delicious: blackberry pomegranate, tiger's blood, coconut, pina cola, and citrus sunrise. I think my new favorite is the blackberry pomegranate. Is it kind of pricey for a snow cone? Yeah. Do I have any regrets? Nope. Watch out for the line, it can get out of control at peak times. I tried Retro Sno at the Hot Chicken Festival because it was too hot for hot chicken and a snow cone sounded way better. I got the Rainbow because I'm a sucker for childhood classics and I was not disappointed!
