Every week I thank the universe for putting Rogue Comics and its awesome owner, Mike, in my city! I…read morehave been to too many hobby shops/comic book shops who don't have a real appreciation of the craft and Rogue Comics totally gets it! No high pressure sales, no condescending attitudes, you can tell Mike loves what he sells and it comes across in the recommendations he sometimes throws your way or in the pleasant commentary he sometimes chimes in on certain titles you pick up on your visits. I love that I never have to worry about rushing over every week since I might miss an issue, since Mike takes great care of my pull list and even throws in a few surprise titles which are usually right up my alley! He even goes out of his way to host midnight release parties for special titles for the comic faithful who cannot wait! Every year he does a great job with Free Comic Book Day which I always make a point to bring my younger cousins/ nephews to and plant the seed early to continue the readership on these top of the line titles. I have been a regular customer now for over 3 years and I wish Rogue Comics the utmost best since I would dread the day I'd have to resort to ordering these books online and miss out on the awe and wonder I regularly experience at Rogue Comics!

But as I said, it's a lot neater. They had a good sale today too. There was a 40% off sale going on. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything. They didn't have as many books as Bridgeport did, but they did have a lot more CDs. CDs were selling for a dollar with 40% off. So, you figure a CD was would be $0.60? It wasn't very busy so getting out had I found anything would have been really quick. They have somebody ready to check people out of the bookstore. Maybe next time I come I'll find something whenever that will be.

The only complaint I have has NOTHING to do with the shop, it's the parking, they built condos across the street from the shop which took 90% of the parking away...But their is a parking garage on the block which will only just cost you a couple of bucks, you just have to download the app on your phone, they do not have a pay machine where you get a receipt to put in your window. But great shop and great service.

I ended up not needing 2 books I had them dig for for me and they were super polite about putting them back (some comic shops have made rude comments when asking about stuff and choosing not to buy something last minute). I ended up coming back 2 weeks later and bought out the rest of the books that I originally did not want, as well as got some older books as well. Condition here is good. This is not my LCS (Local Comic Shop) but I was visiting from an hour away & listening to the regulars throughout the store, it sounded like they love this place & that's always a good vibe to experience. There's a couple of bookshelves of graphic novels/TPBs/HCs as well. I wish that shelf had some used/marked down stuff, but whaddya gonna do. The store also has a small but well curated array of toys/video games/statues. Nothing I needed but always fun to look at. They also do some Magic and Pokemones card stuff. Not for me, but if it helps pay the bills, so be it. The employee was pleasant to interact with, I didn't catch his name but he was aight.
