The staff is so friendly and helpful there and genuinely care about your well being I saw Dr. Widener and he is patient and a great listener and empathizer too. I can explain in detail why they only get one star and I will update if needed as we go thru the treatment of my husbands motorcycle accident with several injuries but for now I'll tell you this - that they gave us no paperwork, no plan of care in writing, only verbal instructions to stay off his feet for 2 weeks with 3 broken bones in his feet (along with other injuries including a muscle tear in his shoulder but no instructions on limitations and care for that) and then we can go from there. There was zero care for my husbands pain like he's not worthy of help or relief, Maggie the nurse practitioner just did not care and said for him to take 4000mg of Tylenol per day for pain and he has history of liver cancer which is on their paperwork and to me that said a lot about their care, are they trying to kill him with pain and suffering or cause him more liver problems? read more

Dr Widener is the best. I was there for a work comp situation. First visit was 2/5/21 and I was in surgery on 2/8/21. I had crushed my left wrist. Very painful, but managed and physical therapy 2 weeks later? Unfortunately for me my Bones were too weak to hold plate and screws. Not to worry, he put a brace on it up for 3 weeks and gave the bone time to heal and removed hardware. Physical therapy and I am good as new. Dr Widener was awesome through it all. He always made me feel assured that this is normal for some and that it will be fine. Great bedside manner, and his blue eyes made my daughter happy. Thank you Dr Widener!! read more

I'm not quite sure I want to create this review....but, you know I am, because I've written the review and you're reading it now. lol For the resurgens staff, my appointment was Wed. Oct 28th 2020 at 1:45pm. I was to see Dr Widener. I called ahead to make sure they could wheelchair me into their office. UNFORTUNATELY, they could not provide that service! I spoke with two different staff members that stated that they just could not accommodate this request. When the second staff member told me the same thing and then said would I like to reschedule, I told her, "No, I need to find another doctor"! She calmly said like a robot, thank you and have a nice day! INCREDIBLE!!! Now this was not Dr Widener's fault! I have seen him before on a consult and he seemed knowledgeable. BE FOREWARNED!! If you are going to this practice, do realize that they do not have extra staff to help in special needs situations. Because of my experience, I'm giving a three star rating! What can I say!!!! I can walk without pain now!! Who wouldn't love that great bunch of folks!!!

I've been having severe back pain for a couple of years. My primary doctor has tried Physical Therapy, dry needling, another orthopedic did epidurals and I've had chiropractic adjustments and massage. No relief at all. Last MRI I had showed degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis and 2 bulging discs. I'm in so much pain most of the time that I can't sit or stand for more than 20 minutes and I'm awake off and on all night. My doctor gave me a referral to see Dr. Grimm. Biggest waste of time and money. He looked at the same MRI report and told me nothing is wrong with my back and I need to join a gym and use weights. I was in tears cause it hurt so bad but there's nothing wrong. What a joke!! I told them I wasn't going to be coming back and then I got home and found a new email saying an appointment had just been scheduled for me for May 27 that I didn't schedule. Hell would have to freeze over before I would go back here!!! read more

Dr. Widener is an amazing orthopedic surgeon. I had my left shoulder replaced and doing so well I don't even need a 3 month post op follow up!! I did have my left knee replaced by another surgeon in 04/17, and it still is "barking" even now. Wish I would have waited to see Dr. Widener. My physical therapists have remarked how I am way ahead of schedule, and I am 100% positive this result is due to the skilled hands of this fantastic physician! So far very happy. Dr Widener was very thorough and nice. I have had severe ankle pain for years and went to see another orthopedic practice in Towne Lake a couple of years ago and in the first visit was told I needed surgery at a non-network facility. Well I didn't feel right about it and stuff happened so I never did it. Finally got back around to it and saw Resurgens. He put me in an orthotic insert and prescribed an arthritis medication to try for a few weeks before we moved to an extreme surgery. Now I may still need surgery, but I was so sad that I spent two years that I could have been in less pain because another doctor shoved a surgery down my throat that I very well may avoid. These are the kind of people that i want in charge of my medical care. Not just out there to book a surgery that makes them a ton more money than the negligible amount I'm sure they made on the alternate treatment. But Dr. Widener cared about my well-being, not just the all-mighty dollar. read more

My husband was a new patient to this facility about one month ago. When I called to make the appt (his appt was about 3 weeks out) and upon giving his information I was told the ONLY thing he needed to bring was his Drivers License and Insurance Card. We no longer are on a co-pay plan, so other doctor offices we use call to verify insurance and will call us with an "estimate" of what we need to pay at visit. Three weeks later for his appt, I never received a call so I assumed they would bill what insurance didn't pay. Well not this group! My husband called me and said we needed to pay $387 before he could leave... What? I talked to the office and they instructed me that when appts are scheduled their people go over this with you, well the girl did not disclose anything to me. He said they were the rudest office he had ever been too and we will not go back. Plus he stated the doctor was in the room maybe 5 minutes max. Seems like they are yet another doctor office trying to make that almighty dollar, get them in and out. read more
