Staff: I want to give a shout out to Carma and Jillian at the front desk for their welcoming smiles and humor. Everyone has been very kind. Sometimes, I bring a family member or friend, and staff has accommodated them. Facility and Environment: The facility has efficient gym equipment and bands for everyone's needs. They have a private room for initial evaluations, but most of the facility is an open concept where you work one-on-one with your PT. Sometimes, I am in the facility by myself when I schedule late afternoon sessions near closing time, but if you are scheduled during other times, you could be one of maybe up to 5 patients dispersed in the area. There is enough space for you and staff. The facility is also very convenient because my Orthopedic doctor is located across the hall, and my PCP is located upstairs. Building: The facility is connected to the WakeMed North Hospital building, but at the back side. When facing the front of the hospital, drive to the building's right side and turn the SECOND LEFT for the main entrance. (The first left is an oval parking lot mainly for Wake Orthopedics or for Physician's Practices visits. You'll be confused if you park here for your first visit.) The main entrance has a semi-circular drop-off area which is great for wheelchair access. There should be a sign on the sliding doors that say something like, "WakeMed Physical Therapy and Rehab." When you walk through these sliding doors, go past the restrooms, and the door is at the end of the hallway, to the right. If you cannot find parking in the open lot, there is a parking deck diagonal to the entrance, but there's always free parking spots around the back of the building. If you ever get hungry after your appointment, you can go to the WakeMed Cafeteria for a bite. They serve great lattes at the coffee bar, too.

I had exhausted the amount covered by Medicare last year and was paying out of pocket. However, they filed with Medicare anyway, and Medicare paid. BUT THEY DID NOT TELL ME. When I reviewed my EOBs and realized they had been paid twice I complained. At first they did not want to reimburse me, and when the manager at the Highhouse location agreed, it took MONTHS for me to paid. Four months from the time I paid them until they paid me, and I had to keep chasing them.

At her first appointment, there was inclement weather, and we completely understand Stacey's concern for her children's whereabouts. However, I felt it unfair that my mother lost time at her paid appointment due to this. Stacey told her she had another client directly after her, and she refused to go over exercises with her. In addition, the location was unable to schedule her next appointment until March 2020, which was more than 7 weeks out? How is it that you accept a new patient, and you fail to accommodate? The office called several times with cancelations for the same week she had therapy? She did not need therapy the same week, she needed an appointment 2 weeks thereafter. They told us they are short-staffed and Stacey was the only therapist on hand. How is this our problem? I will say the other Duke locations are great, and they are very accommodating, but I would not go back to this particular location again, even if it closely located.

The issue was that I had to give them my personal device so so they could enter the password. Now we all know some of us have sensitive work information on our devices, and can't let anybody holing our unlocked devices. And sometimes we don't trust how) clean a person's hands might be. I am healing well, and feel that the care quality is on point. I need to keep the care on going, even after I am completely healed cause things can go south at times, and you would never know. Another very important thing you should know is that his vitamins and nutrition he sells have no fillers, so when looking for vitamins and supplements, I don't need to wonder what is in them, and he teamed up with the best to make sure we're getting the nutrition and not fillers. He says he wants the patient to receive the nutrition they need, so check them out as soon as possible.
